I've been taking MSM for over a DECADE for neck pain. It has mostly been continuous, only stopping because I ran out and had to wait until I could make it to the store. I do itch, but usually not excessively. I think for hair growth you are MUCH better off adding MSM powder topically via a liquid or emulsion (to my knowledge, MSM is NOT oil soluble which is why it settles to the bottom of a container). I’ve been taking these supplements RELIGIOUSLY and they DEFINITELY work! MSM, collagen and seamoss in my daily coffee followed by biotin tablets. I’ve gone from bald headed to 10 inches in two years (keep in mind I’ve trimmed twice myself and gotten a professional cut) my hair is thriving.
💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 here early!! 😍😍😍 just here to say, that MSM is really incredible! The headache at the beginning was insane... like 3 days straight.. I felt like I was about to loose it. But now it’s all good. It doesn’t work for me in the night though because it kept me up all night and really affected my sleep for a while.. and I drink about 3- 4 liters of water a day, no joke.. but I just take it in the morning when I wake up and it also helps to give me energy through the day. The growth though is insane! 1 and a half months already and I have about 2 inches already! 😍😍. The experience at the beginning was not so great but now, it’s all good 🙏🏾🙏🏾. Combining with the Ayurvedic powders, aloe Vera juice shea butter and DIY shampoos and Conditioners... my hair is much thicker and with 2 new inches of new growth! Thank you soo much for all your knowledge and tips Farida🙏🏾🙏🏾😍♥️♥️♥️
Thank you thank you thank you!!!! You are the FIRST person who mentions heart palpitations when taking BIOTIN !!!! I have the same effect!!!! I have tried Biotin numerous times thinking it was all in my head, and couldn't find anything connecting palpitations to biotin. Sadly, biotin works, but like you, enhancing my hair is not worth risking my life! THANKS again!
Certain brands of biotin are better than others. I experienced this when I first started taking it years ago. I had a horrible facial breakout! When I started using better quality brands such as Country Life, Solgar, Nature's Way, and Solray, no more problems. General store brands can be a little tricky because unless a store specializes in health and whole body, you can get a not-so-nice mix of ingredients that can cause unwanted side effects.
I always taken collagen powder since I was 25 years and loved how it made my hair, skin, and nails feel and look. Love collagen, I did add msm powder and vitamin c power mixed together and my hair looks thicker and fuller, thank you so much for this tip. I also take slow release iron pills because last year I had horrible hair fall and breakage and my hair-line was thinning and I was embarrassed to show my face. Got that under control with better diet, supplements and just using what worked for me. I finally hit tailbone length when my cruly/wavy ethnic hair is stretched. I do want more length but now focusing on my weight loss journey. Thank you so much ❤️ you helped me so much.
Thanks so much for sharing your methods for growing and maintaining healthy hair! My hair was stuck at bra strap length and thanks to you I’m now at waist length! 💕💕💕
Collagen is sooo good my hair grew thicker and my nails were hard. The only thing I noticed is when you stop using it my nails are pretty brittle. It didn’t affect my hair because I do other things but my poor nails😬
I have been taking biotin for more than 3 years and collagen for 17 months and my hair is just as long as it is in the pic you see on your left. It still grows very thin on top and at my temples. Which is why I am here. It's time to step up my game. I will start with MSM in powder form. Took tablets for a month a long time ago (while taking biotin)and still nothing. My skin and nails are awesome though.
Hey beautiful! Actually got the first comment Also I took your advice about MSM a few years ago and it has truly been a game changer. Not only is my hair the longest it’s been in my entire life, but the density has increased dramatically. Can’t thank you enough. Gonna try collagen soon
I just started msm crystals and vitamin c Sept 26th 2020. Today is Oct 2nd. I added fenugreek seeds to my wild grow oil instead of making my own oil. I oil my scalp twice a day because my hair dries out fast. Ya'll! I am amazed at what I am witnessing take place on my head. That msm is the truth. I chose to get the Crystal's because it's pure with no fillers. Thank you CP for all of this hair education.
I've found moringa to be strengthening yet moisturizing. I use the tea as a refresher spritz or leave in and it makes my hair soft and decreases shedding
MSM is bomb 💣 my hair grew sooooo fast!! CP is right you should definitely give your body a break from it. I did experience the headache in the beginning tho 😫😫 Drinking more water helps with the headache! Love your channel and the advice you give 💜💜
HI! I started my 1st dose of MSM and Vit C today. Hair length from crown - front:21" back 18". I will post again in 1 month. OMG..I started with a headache after 15 minutes after taking. I started drinking water and downloaded an app to remind me to drink!!
I take sea moss gel and it's so good for my body. I get mine from a company called Organic Sea Moss theirs comes off the coast of Jamaica and is inspired by Dr. Sebi. There's another company too called Be a Smart Vegan. They have the purple sea moss as well, which is SUPER high in iodine. I take MSM sometimes, but I noticed that my right knee would make a slight popping noise, so I stopped. But when I combined it with the sea moss, it went away.
Neocell brand collagen is my favorite. My former stylist always complimented my hair because of its strength and fast growth with the collagen. My face/skin is properly hydrated when taking it and I have nails that are as tough as nails. Amazon kindly reminded me that I've purchased the Neocell collagen 23 times....its on auto ship, lol! I haven't taken MSM yet because I do practice ayurveda and I need to check and see if my practitioner approves of it. Moringa, I haven't tried it on my hair, but when added to smoothies it gives me a jolt of energy. CP you are a wealth of knowledge. Thanks for sharing with us!
The MSM truly works. I've been using it for at least a year. Definitely a game changer Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.❤❤ I take a break every 3mths.
I took your tips of MSM about 2 months ago trying it topically or internally. I personally took it orally and I had a harsh reaction to scalp after using itu after 2 weeks. My scalp developed hard round lumps/ bumps . And I knew it was the msm becaus it immediately went away and never developed again after discontinuing. However applying topically I had no issues.
I take liquid biotin and it is helping my hair get thicker. I think that Moringa tea is helping my hair get longer especially in the back of my head. I want to try the chia seeds. Thank you for this whole series!💜

i had suffered some allergic reaction that caused my eyelashes to fall out but they regrew so quickly... like crazy long and voluminous in just 2 weeks using msm, biotin and collagen. I usually keep my hair in protective style but I don't doubt I have great results there, as well.😍
I constantly watch your videos but JUST NOTICED I was not subscribed ! Lmao idk how I missed that... just subscribed. This channel is such a huge help!
Wow thought it was just me, Biotin makes my heart beat fast and I get palpitations it can be overwhelming sometimes. Msm and collagen are the truthhh they make my hair silkier and longer 💪🏽 👏🏾. Love your vids 💓
The dosage is too high. I experienced the same problem. Lowered the dose. No problem. Your body will tell you if something is not right for you or too much for you.
Biotin did nothing for my hair. MSM, onion juice recipe and fenugreek and aloe Vera I saw a difference. I used chia seeds for my diabetes. Never knew it’s good for hair to. I have Daily harvest smoothie cup every morning with chia seeds and multi collagen/ peptides.
Quick funny. I use henna all the time for color on my hair bi-monthly. I had a dark ring around my forehead where I thought it was the henna stain, from not putting enough vaseline. I wear glasses. Anyway, I used several natural ingredients trying to remove the stain. Nothing worked. I actually lifted my skin with my fingers in that area. Guess what it was hair growth🤣🤣🤣. It is very black. I don’t even bother to use henna that far down the front of my forehead. I just let it be. I also use a make leave recipe from another TH-cam guru in that is the BOMB 💣. I do use hydrolyzed protein which stopped my hair from being brittle and breaking and allowed all the other good ingredients to be able to penetrate my hair shaft and nourish it. I also stop wearing tight scarves around my head to prevent constant friction on my edges. Food is so, so key. I eat little meat, and I also stopped buying veggies from some of the local grocers. They no longer agree with my stomach. In my city we have a farmer’s market on Sundays. I go every Sunday and stock up with fruits and veggies for the week. It has made a difference in my hair health and my gut health. I also discovered a fruit from South America, called Babaco. The ancients used it for a myriad of things, including digestion. It has been great for my digestion etc. Google it. Thanks Curly ‼️
Which dose are you taking. I would recommend maybe starting with a small dose, i started with 1/8th and when body got used to it I increased. I plan to increase by month so i know the effect and length checks.
Malkia Furaha even i started with the lesser dose and it was working fine . But after almost a month of taking it , my face started breaking so bad. Now i have increased the water intake to 5 litres a day
Love this girl!! @curlyproverbs have you ever thought about doing an extreme quarantine hair growth routine where everything is taken into drastic measures since going out in public is out of the picture, and going for weeks without washing, dealing with stinky onion juice for days, crazy diy's for maximum benefits etc is now a total possibility?
@curly proverbz. I've heard one needs to take breaks when taking MSM. Say you take it from January - March. Then stop taking it from April - June. Then resume from July - September. Take another break October - December. Based on your research, how true is this?
@@CurlyProverbz Thank you for responding. I have learnt soooo much from your educative videos. I just wish I found you earlier (before I chopped all my hair off)! Nonetheless, thank you. Please stay safe!

Really appreciate the advice. Finally taken the MSM leap from Biotin. It's my 2nd week and looking forward to seeing how it works in the next few weeks
Thé problem I have with supplements is when you stop taking them, your hair just falls out, and is even worse than it began (at least for me and others that I know). I would rather just focus on eating well and making sure my hair is moisture, scalp cleaned and protein balanced. Unless you have an underlining condition, your hair is going to grow (why do you think we had to get our hair relaxed every 6-8 weeks to get the roots - aka new growth)
It use to happen to me, but since i change my regimen i manage to get all the extra extra growth... i eat plant base already, but it still new, so to make sure i have all the nutriments while i fix the balance of my meals, i took supp. I am currently enjoying my new problems🤗 like what do i do with all this hair .... 🤔
I think everyone’s body biochemistry is different. That has never been my experience but you are right , I also echoes the importance of a varied balanced diet at the beginning. No point in living on fast food and sayings it’s all good in take supplements. I know when my mum used rogaine once she stopped she lost all her growth. That’s why I be steady promoting natural alternatives such as amla.
Curly Proverbz makes total sense! Trust me Curly, you’re literally my natural hair Bible lol...I’ve been following you since I went natural and you’ve never led me astray!
Animata Jamina, Hi! I just wanted say I agree with you about supplements to a degree, the most important thing to thing about when taking supplements is to make sure they are pure in their ingredients. The first list will contain what the supplement is, but the most important list is “other ingredients “ usually it will have a long list of stuff like magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, soybean oil rice flour and a whole litany of fillers. Those are the things that ultimately have adverse side effects in the long run, the fillers outweigh the supplements. These things dehydrate the body ultimately and that’s why the benefits reverse. Try to incorporate filler free. Please stay away from gummies and sugar filled supplements that “taste good” especially if you’re not eating a balanced diet because weight gain will eventually follow. Hope that gives you a starting point if you resume taking supplements. And always take a break from using them ,too much a good thing is counterproductive.
What am I doing wrong? I was taking the MSM and VC regime for at least 6 months. I noticed that my scalp was very tender to the touch in the crown. As a result of this tenderness, I discontinued taking it. And yes, I was drinking ample amounts of water. Water is the only drink of choice.
Hey ? What kind of msm were you taking ? I used the powder form and didn’t see any changes too. I am going to start the flakes this week with some liposomal vitamin c hopefully it will work this time
This happened to me after only a few weeks of taking msm, but the pain was the top of my scalp. When I stopped taking it I experienced extreme shedding too, concerned about trying it again, have made oil using it and spray too but I don't think I was drinking enough water when I was taking it.
I don't know what I did wrong but I have been taking MSM and I have experienced excruciating headaches, bloating and even anxiety. Even though I have seen results, I have to stop taking the MSM for a while just to get my life back from these crazy side effects.
Has anyone seen any eyelash growth? Since I've been taking liquid biotin and MSM powder I think I've seen a difference but not entirely sure since it wasn't my main focus
I just started using sea moss at the recommendation of my dad actually lol. I have noticed that my nails are stronger and my skin is much clearer and more vibrant. Usually when things are good for skin and nails, its also good for hair. So I'll report my progress :)

Hi thanks for putting out these videos after I got off work I immediately went out and brought the supplements. Before I use them I did have a few questions. When is the best time to take MSM? I work overnight so should I take it when I get off work before I go to bed or should I take it before I go into work? I've seen some people say that they've had lucid dreams and other side effects. Are there any side effects when stopping MSM and should I we myself back or can I stop when I want to without affecting myself? Thank you so much I enjoy your videos and hopeful for my results🤞🏾💆🏿♀️
Wish these videos were 5min....please work on your speakers. it is low. I have my volume on high and it is still low. Other videos work fine, but you're either far from the speakers, or the volume is bad.
Hey, All. I missed this! Question: Anyone experienced fine , soft textured hair having a hard, wiry texture after soaking Fenugreek seeds and using as a spritz/tea? Would a conditioner with protein help soften the hair? Also, noticed my curl pattern at the root is not as defined as the ends. Any help, or experience anyone has would be greatly appreciated :)
I think you should use a moisturizing conditioner after the tea, as the tea has a strengthening effect. Don't use a protein conditioner, it will harden your hair more
@@blissekalu Thank you for responding. Wasn't sure if it was the fenugreek itself or the essential oils i added to the tea (carrier oils were also in the tea). Thought maybe it became too concentrated since the mixture was a little over a week old--my scalp was burning! I did use a leave- in conditioner right after spritzing, though. So disappointed my hair texture changed from the softness i had before using the tea. Guess will take some more time to get my hair texture back. Thanks again, much appreciated.

HTH 🙂
@@UniqueStyLista I don’t take any breaks. I just take it continuously.
I take Moringa and Sea Moss daily, in addition to Bamboo. I grow Moringa and Bamboo here in Florida. These are all wonderful!
I take msm powder and vitamin C everyday, omg l cannot believe the thickness and length of my hair. I also included my msm powder in my ayurvedic hair oil, my goodness, my hair is growing like crazy. Thank you curly proverbs. Yesterday l did my henna gloss, to strengthen my hair strands, but it's a bit too strong cause my hair started to gets extra dry.

I've been waiting on this video!!!! I suffer with alopecia areata, and I've been taking the sulfur crystals you suggested for about a month and a half now and I'm seeing a difference already! It so difficult for me me because I have multiple issues with my hair but yet I'm trying to keep my hair healthy. Sooo, for me, I'm not trying to grow long hair as much as I'm trying to KEEP hair on my head!!! But I'm benefiting in both areas. I've implemented the Amla and Cassia and Neem in my hair arsenal and I'm getting great results! I've just got to find out what really works and settle on my regiment and I think I'll be good! You have helped me soooooo much and this series has been such a blessing!!! Thank you sooooo much! You are such an inspiration!
Love it!! Come through sis!!
how often do u take msm? collagen?
Sadie I take it everyday. It’s honestly amazing.
Curly Proverbz I’m also started oiling my scalp with one of your recipes so I’m excited to see the growth!
I've been curious about sea moss for iron! Thank you for confirming that this ingredient works and thank you for sharing your results!
Yes babe! Welcome
Oh man. I've had a persistent headache since MARCH. I'm afraid to take this MSM...lol
Can you please tell me what brand of MSM you are using as how much do you take? Thank you
how do you make your DIY conditioner? I've been searching for an effective recipe
what is the meaning of DIY please? does the MSN affect your menses? Thanks
It gives me palpitations too
Certain brands of biotin are better than others.
Love you SIS! CURLY PROVERBS..THE GOAT!! (GREATEST OF ALL TIME) KEEPING US EDUCATED!!🎓
Baby girl.... thank you. X
Always Wondered what the GOAT meant, thanks!!!

Actually got the first comment
Also I took your advice about MSM a few years ago and it has truly been a game changer. Not only is my hair the longest it’s been in my entire life, but the density has increased dramatically. Can’t thank you enough. Gonna try collagen soon
Hey babe !

That's the collagen brand I use too. My nails grow really fast when I use it.

Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.❤❤ I take a break every 3mths.
How long do you take a break for
I took your tips of MSM about 2 months ago trying it topically or internally. I personally took it orally and I had a harsh reaction to scalp after using itu after 2 weeks. My scalp developed hard round lumps/ bumps . And I knew it was the msm becaus it immediately went away and never developed again after discontinuing. However applying topically I had no issues.

Wow! So much great information! I have been shedding a baseball size amount of hair each week. I’m going to look into MSM and red clover.
Really chia seeds for diabetes? How does it help you?
You are incredible, you've changed my curly hair journey.
Can l ask which brand of henna you use? I have recently been searching for a good brand 🤷🏽♀️
I am getting crazy breakouts with msm despite drinking 3 litres of water . I started with msm a month back
Which dose are you taking. I would recommend maybe starting with a small dose, i started with 1/8th and when body got used to it I increased. I plan to increase by month so i know the effect and length checks.

I have finally got some MSM and the joint health and pain management would really help me. And I'm excited for the new hair growth challenge
I agree. I wouldn’t want to be dependent on supplements for hair or skin benefits. I only take them for health reasons (B-12/multivit).
I am going to start the flakes this week with some liposomal vitamin c hopefully it will work this time
@@pearlsglimmers it was powder form, 1/8tsp MSM with 1/8tsp Vitamin C with OJ every morning, for six months.
This happened to me after only a few weeks of taking msm, but the pain was the top of my scalp. When I stopped taking it I experienced extreme shedding too, concerned about trying it again, have made oil using it and spray too but I don't think I was drinking enough water when I was taking it.
