    In Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 seamoss is also very common . We soak it in water with lime or lemon juice . Then boil it and puree. I also add bay leaves. Cloves and cinnamon to it while its boiling. It helps with the fresh sea smell and add to the taste. I use a little bit everyday.

    I have been taking MSM since 2006. I mix it with grape juice or lemonade because the vitamin C makes it work better. Yes, start with a tiny dose because it will detox you, especially your liver. It has made my hair texture softer, it reduced my seasonal allergies, it helped my aging skin, and it is helping the arthritic pain in my Achilles tendon. I use a combo of pumpkin seed oil with a touch of castor oil steeped in cloves on my hair; it acts like a natural silicone I use for detangling, since I don't use conditioner.

      @@mayam837 If you can find a brand that uses the OptiMSM kind (look at the label it), that is the only one I can vouch for. Many different brands use it, even outside of the US. Do a search and compare prices. I suggest the powder form because it dissolves easily. I use Source Naturals.

      Oh my days... When I started taking msm... I accidently gave myself acute mercury poisoning because I detoxed it all out so fast..

      @@mayam837 How big is the scoop? Start with a 1/4th of a teaspoon for one week, and then increase it by 1/4th teaspoon each week until you get to the recommended dosage OR what works best for you because it might be too much. Watch how your body reacts and drink plenty of liquid, or you might get dehydration headaches.

    Sea moss is a Caribbean thing in general, not just Jamaica. I’m from St.Vincent and the Grenadines 🇻🇨 and we use it to make sea moss drink, so I grew up knowing of it and drinking it. I’m in my 40’s. Sea moss has been around for ages, even before my time. Maybe people in the U.K. in recent years are now knowing about it. It’s great overall. I use it in smoothies. There’s always a capsule form.

    • @christine1962ful
      @christine1962ful 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Agree. I'm 60 yrs young, born and raised in the UK of Jamaican heritage. My mum always made sea moss drinks for my dad on a regular. We call it Irish Mash looool I think it became popular when the white community discovered it as the vegan/vegetarian community discovered it a made it into a 'superfood'? Also capitalising on it, because until then, it was a very inexpensive and very affordable product to buy. It has just become more popularised in Western countries (bar Ireland).

    Yes Curly Proverbz! I have taken your advice and began to use MSM for about close to a year now. I have been pretty consistent to drink in in water accompanied by vitamin C. And yes, my hair does have more strength, it's like the strands are stronger and I have noticed faster growth. One side of my hair the right always grew slower and not as long and thich as the left. Well, let me tell you, that the right side has gotten finally as full and the length of the left side.

    Clicked SO FAST!
    For those who cannot take ascorbic acid or synthetic Vitamin C, I would suggest taking organic Amla or Moringa as both are high in Vitamin C, or a food-based vitamin (aka MegaFood vitamin C complex). I have anaphylactic reactions with ascorbic acid so I take organic Amla with my MSM. Cannot wait to try these recipes! I’m over here salivating. 🤤 Well done! ❤️

    Oh My goodness these ingredients are excellent but never thought They could add benefits to our hair growth. My kids love oatmeal, I usually buy roll oats that are not processed,. We do overnight oats In a mason jar I add like 1/3 cup of oat, 1 teaspoon of chia seeds or hemp seeds, a tablespoon of nut butter, and/or peanut butter or pumpkin seed butter. milk to cover it, honey, or dates. We play with it and make different flavors. My 3-year-old asks for smoothies for lunch and I do a very similar to this one she likes strawberries and bananas. Heyyy Faridaaa, congratulations on the surge of new subscribers!!! As genuine & knowledgeable as u are I've always felt u were underrated but it's moving on up, I love seeing someone as pure & genuine as u making it to the top✨️!! It was u who was my main inspiration to try Henna, amla, bhringraj, MSM, Aloe & so much more!! I make my own hair oils, Henna masks, Henna glosses & I have ice trays of Aloe mixed with peppermint & rosemary essential oil stored in my freezer. I was on a ball for almost a year, with my Henna masks once a month, once a week I did a Henna gloss & in between those times I applied aloe & sometimes rice water to my hair & massaged my scalp with the same scalp "exfoliator"> (¿😬 I can't think of the proper name 🤦🏾‍♀️ right now) that u had in ur old video. I was relentless with these routines until I noticed my curl pattern changing 😥. Unfortunately that caused me to stop for a year or more & I lost my mojo. But as of this week I just started back with my Henna masks, following with deep conditioning, then after 7 days another hair wash & apply a henna gloss, then throughout the week apply Aloe & or sometimes Rice water (can't have too much protein in my hair, have to balance out the protein & moisturizer!!) See how much I've learned from u!! Thanks so much!! I just got over strep throat & covid so when I saw u in the store without a mask I was like nooooo lol 🤦🏾‍♀️.

    I'm glad I stumbled on your channel yesterday. You really thoroughly explain about natural hair care. I ♥️ your tips and tricks. I'm excited to start the process of my own nature hair care this year. I am 🇺🇸, 🇯🇲. I have heard of eating sea weed years ago. I have not heard of sea moss. Thanks so much curly proverbz #hairrestoration #newyearsresolution #sheready #culyproverbzhairprofessor

    Also I'm gonna be starting Myfembree due to fibroids, extreme blood loss, & adenomyosis. I just pray the Myfembree doesn't cause my hair to come out more than it is already 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

      What is Myfembree? How does it help with fibroids?

    • @Kee-rn9zd
      @Kee-rn9zd 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@nadiasaint-louis383 it's supposed to put your body thru a menopausal state which will decrease the blood flow to the uterus therefore decreasing the size & continuous growth of the fibroids & in my case adenomyosis as well.

      @nadiasaint-louis383 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Kee-rn9zd oh ok... I have fibroids too, where can I get it? , you know what also helps the progesterone IVF shots, I used to be on it but had to stop it due to spotting

    • @Kee-rn9zd
      @Kee-rn9zd 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nadiasaint-louis383 It has to be prescribed by a doctor & depending on ur insurance ur doctor may have to prove why u need Myfembree versus a generic drug for ur situation. That's what I had to go thru anyway, but blessings to us both to get thru this 🙏🏾, also no I don't think I've heard of progesterone shots.
