Great video on explaining how iMovie works. I have a question? How do slow down or make the timeline go faster or slower. I was doing something when I was editing a video and now when I play the video in iMovie the timeline or video clips are scrolling super slow. And now it’s harder to delete stuff in the video.

This is very helpful but what I need help with I don't think I can find or use iMovie for. I want to pop my text in the middle of the video not the beginning of a clip if the makes sense. I don't want to have to split it just to add text in certain spot. Do you know if there maybe is an app for that ? It's ok if I gotta pay I just need a better editing app

My favorite mobile editing app is luma fusion, you have a lot more control over what you do. It’s not the cheapest but definitely worth it. Otherwise apps like CapCut and Kinemaster are also good.

I don’t understand what part I am not getting here,this is like the 5th turorial I’m watching I still don’t understand how do I get the video/clip to start at the let’s say 40sec mark of my audio/music? It always plays from the beginning! If anyone can help I’d appreciate it,thanks

Tap on your music track, then at the bottom you will see an option called Foreground. Select that and now you can move your audio around whenever you want😄 hope this helps !

@@KaylaLeRoux First of all thank you for replying! i understands,but how? When I do that the audio becomes blue,right? And then do I need to highlight the audio,in which case it becomes yellow? And what does the vertical white line represents? It is difficult to move the blue line and when i do that it still plays from the beginning! If I highlight it I end up cutting it,deleting parts of it and messing ut all up. How come everyone gets this but me?

You just have to hold down on the audio and then move it around. Similarly to how you would move a video around in your timeline.

It’s better if you had made a video for each subject about the iMovie instead of trying to, to do everything in one and not being very clear about it each one…
