The latest update on iPhone has moved the crop or zoom tool. Usually a magnifying glass icon, it’s no longer top right corner I need to edit a vertical video.

Can you reverse play the play forward ?
Great information, I have made a video and done the edit on my iPad Pro using iMovie which is almost complete but the problem I have is at the end of the time line I have inserted a selection of still photos from the same iPhone I used for the videos and tried to insert music which is from the same Apple Music in iMovie but it will not work and I have tried everything doe’s anyone have any ideas why this happens please.

I am doing the Pacific Crest Trail this year and want a simple editor for on trail editing. BUT the music trim annoyed me! I could not fully edit music as background. I learned to make it foreground and thought there might be another way. Looks like not! Thanks for the lesson.
I simply reduce volume for the music.
What about video stabilization ? I read where iMovie now offers that feature.

iMovie has been terrible since iOS 17 it is extremely slow importing and horrible timeline performance
Great video but what I’m watching looks nothing like the iMovie on my phone. I have no option to select most of the functions you’re using and my phone is a 15 pro and it’s only a few days old and running current iOS. 🤷♂️
Yeah there’s no wavelength button on mine so I can’t detect the silent moments in my video unless I listen carefully which takes up time. I’m also on the 14 Pro current iOS. They need to fix this.

You need to press on the clip and then it will enable you to pinch to zoom

Shame about colour grading. What you can do is adjust your video on your phone before importing to iMovie.
So typical. Not your fault. Ha. But what tools you say you have an is available are not on my iPhone. I am using iPhone 13 pro V 17.4.1
The iPad and iPhone app are NOT identical. There is no sound graph on the iphone and certainly no way to remove it.
