I was admitting to two Texas women in an antique store that I am not originally from Texas. They both replied, “Oh, Bless Your Heart.” I told them I know what that means and told them not to go blessing my heart and they laughed until tears rolled. Double meaning…so true.

It was completely sincere until a TV show (Designing Women) said it had a double meaning. But there are plenty of Southerners who say it, and they are NOT being snarky. Don't automatically assume they're being mean.

As someone born and raised in LA and who moved to the South, this was embarrassing. No wonder people don't like Californians, we brag about being rude and mean like it's an achievement. I didn't realize how much I changed til I went back to LA and was forced to become mean again just to get basic things done - like asking for help in a store. Californians are so intolerant of people who don't act/think like them that I stopped visiting home entirely and told my family they'd have to come down here if they wanted to see me.
Cause my base-line instinct is going to get me arrested in LA with all that disrespect and attitude. idk how I tolerated people speaking to me like that for the first 20yrs of my life.

The speedometer didn't work on a van he once had. After a few years he got pulled over and explained to the cop that it had just gone bad and got a warning so he fixed it
Another time he ran a vehicle out of gas on purpose just to get rid of the old gas he had a can in the back to fill it up partially again but ran out of gas on the way back because he only had a half gallon in the gas can.

One night I was asleep and heard a scrapping sound on the wall above my head. I slowly came out of my sleep to realize I wasn’t dreaming. I opened my eyes. As my eyes adjusted to the dark I discovered the source of the sound. About four feet above my head was one of those bus sized cock roaches crawling up the wall. As I was deciding whether or not I wanted to bother with getting up to deal with it, it lost its grip and fell on my chest. All I can say is teleportation is real.
