You feel me? I’m also not trying to offend anyone by saying I think they are wrong or doing something wrong in raid, you misunderstand my intentions
D2 Oryx still has one major problem in that ge doesn't really fight back. He is probably one the biggest threats in the lore but gamewise he just occasionally shoots a couple of lasers.
True, he’s lethal because of his minions not because he sends bullshit your way, there is no real good way to make his ornithological weapon work in game imo, it’s done well enough to be top 10
My problem with putting riven at number one is the fact that no one ever does it legit. The cheese is such a design flaw that I dont think it should go at number one despite how fun the legit mechanics admittedly are. Its such a piss take that they didnt fix it going when the red borders got released.
Last wish feels like what should’ve been a culmination of a decade of raid designed for Bungie that they had knocked out of the part after only five years they’ve only taken steps backwards from it. I wish they fix the bug. Hey, you know this is just where we’re at right now.

People do cheese, sure, but the ones who dont will be rewarded with the most fun encounter in this game's history. I do it legit with my team every time, so I have no idea when was the last time we cheesed it. Its fair and it deserves first place
Personally, Rhulk is my favorite encounter just due to the fact that it’s a lore heavy fight where the boss is very mobile, has pretty cool attacks and really feels like a true boss. The ambience of the fight is fantastic, the stage of the fight is fantastic, and Rhulks battle cry before running around and kicking guardians is just perfect. That being said, I have never done riven the correct way.
Anytime I take anyone through Last Wish for the first time, I make them do Riven as intended. No ifs ands or buts. Every Destiny player owes it to themselves to do Riven legitimately once or twice. Once to learn and then once more to teach someone else and pass the torch. It still annoys me that Bungie has not found any sort of way to fix the cheese. There are a number of ways they could fix it but they just choose not to. What a shame.
I think my issue lies in that Last Wish is just so piss easy. Like, the fact we can damage Kalli or Riven via bypassing mechanics takes the possible joy out of what would probably be a mostly okay raid. If i could run Riven legit, i would. But until then, Last Wish is obessively over-rated, and VotD has the best enctounters out of any raid impo

So we waited for kali to start wipe and we just DPS her to death without touching mechanics at all. 3 celestials, 3 izanagis and a tractor and div for weak point. Then you have well and whatever else anyone was running

Great video dude, im sure this took a lot of time to make. Now for my hot take: Atraks is a top 10 encounter because having two separate teams doing boss damage at separate times as well as using swords for boss damage is unique and fun, and the fact that you have to be sending the buffs back and forth between the upper and lower arenas was also a fun mechanic. I'll admit I have a bit of DSC bias since it was the last raid my original team ran together but that encounter is very enjoyable, and I don't mind the soul depositing out of the air locks
Already left a sarcastic comment but for real man, I 1000% agree on doing 2 tethers on Sanctified Mind. GoS is one of my favorites. I've played it a ton and can confirm that 2 tethers is ALWAYS the better strat unless you have a top tier team and the whole team is running full GoS armor sets. But unless they're a speedrunner, nobody even has full GoS sets in their vault anymore
i fucking love riven, but people get mad fast whenever you say to do it without cheese. But I say, beating this boss legit after many failed attempts is one of the best feelings ever
What do you mean "waste time" building the floor lol? Is it not encouraging other people to do something while the Motes team does their thing? It's a fun mechanic and it is optional, but makes it significantly easier if you do the build mechanic.
If Pantheon could be factored in here, i think -20 Nezarec is the best designed encounter Bungie made. 0 downtime, all gas no brakes. Most of the Pantheon encounters were fantastic, with only Oryx and Atraks not evolving with any massive changes. The Witness is also a banger of a fight in Salvation's Edge. I find the relics encounter in Vow to be the best encounter without a boss in the game. Super fast, incredibly engaging, requires good coms and coordination.
3 man WotM was my most fun gaming experience ever. Me and 2 of my best buds would run all the raids, tho 4 man for KF, every week for a long while. We made all the strategy ourselves, and god damn. WotM is my favourite piece of gaming content ever. You did forget the scariest boss in all of Destiny... Rahndel, The Perfected He fucking solos every raid boss at once

I guess I'm weird because when it comes to raids, I love the shooting enemies 10 times more than ANY mechanics in raids. It's probably why I don't raid much. Any raid with heavy mechanics annoys me.
I wouldn't even count Crota's thrallway as an encounter. No actual loot drop and even in D2 there's no rally flag, something emblematic of every proper raid encounter in D2 since Forsaken launch
How do you count the “thrallway” in Crota’s and encounter when there nothing but a bonus chest of u do it fast enough; and not Gorgons, while there’s also a secret chest, but there’s also a triumph attached to that area?

I think it’s the best raid in history, on average. Ever encounter is good and worth replaying but Encounters 2 and 3 are snooze fests Because of the ping pong. Encounter 4 is better than vault from LW but I don’t know how I feel about the witness compared to the top 3

It's driven me crazy (1 way of saying pissed me off immensely) having paid for content and not being able to play it - so I've joined a new clan (as the last was.... yeah, you know,, it had its core raid group and the rest of us were just numbers)_ so going to be asking profusely/politely to get in on raids cos it's looks kind of enjoyable :)

I think you’re giving Riven a little too much credit. It’s not that hard at all you just need to communicate with your other team. Me and my fireteam found one map of the potential symbol spawns and we crushed it in 30 minutes.
I disagree with almost everything one this list especially atheon. I feel the only reason atheon gets so high is because of nostalgia. The boss doesn't feel that interesting at all to me. Like get teleported shoot square in certain order dps feels incredibly boring. Also smaller nit-pick but the boss has barely has music I know it plays some during dps and when he gets killed but most of the encounter is just silent. I get that vog was the first raid but it just feels so boring to me and I think its the worst one in the game.
only stark disagreement from me is the fact DSC descent isnt in bad encounters. Descent gives u barely any agency on how long it takes(do u want it to take a lot of time or even more time). It takes so long i actually believe its the worst encounter available in the game today(except for vog entrance but u didnt include entrances).

Cuz for example ron 1 and 2, solid contenders for last place, can be run with more than just 1 person and while it's not very usable in lfg, if u have a coordinated team it can not only go quite fast, it can also be very fun. (scission is still shit tho, those launchers dont work 90% of the time and mechanics not being consistent is my pet peeve). Come to think of it... confluxes are worse than descent but they have a soft spot in my heart cuz vog was my first lowman, so please excuse my bias
My problem with Nezarac’s fight is how they don't really communicate the concept of the havens. Like I'm not sure how most teams figured it out, but my team had no idea how it worked. We just pushed through the 2-3 transition and for Nezzy himself we had two runners on each side getting the mechanic done before the wipe… it was stressful… Maybe my team was just dumb on the day one but we genuinely had no idea
The boss does a pulse of light either light or dark after someone on the team shoots his chest while he is doing the "Nezerac vengence attack" you can look at the first color that flashes and then play accordingly
@@paragon5186 you didn't read what i said? My team was easily able to just steamroll past the 2nd-3rd encounter transition without figuring out there was a heaven mechanic. The boss fight doesn't do anything to combat this by telling you later down the line. Anyone can see the pulse. Not everyone will just know “oh Yeah empower the wrong plate”
@@lmlagg it doesn’t spell it out to you, it’s one of those trial and error mechanics like vault encounter in last wish. Really it’s just takes someone to notice something and try something random. I think it’s the essence of raiding. My team had a similar experience doing Vow day one on the first encounter. It just didn’t work so we brute forced it until we got it.
cataclysm and scission are not bad encounters, you're just playing them in the most boring way possible. have 6 runners for each, not 1 or 2, and they turn into something very coordinated and dynamic, like a baby exhibition (imo best non-boss encounter, if not best encounter overall). you mention this possibility and why it's good while you talked about nez. but you shit on these encounters despite the mechanic being the same as the nodes at nez, complaining that most of the team just adclears. kalli, shuro, and morgeth get run over as long as half the team has the slightest inkling of how the mechanics work. they are fun, but not at all challenging in terms of mechanics or damage. having all three of those a tier above vault and planets is laughable. but you also basically have them above every vow encounter except rhulk which is insane cope. and then having d1 golgy above that is just wtf
I was hoping someone would notice this. It not my footage of riven. I could have pulled footage of a legit riven run but I chose not to just to see if anyone noticed. I still stand by what I say, the point I was making is that it’s the best designed encounter in all of destiny. But nobody does it legit

They can just drastically increase the health of Riven and have a huge damage boost to the fireteam if they make it to damage phase

Riven legit is so boring its the same room 3 times and the symbol locations are planned poorly on Bungie's part
it has all the right challenge to make it great imo, the repetition is an endurance test

We just pushed through the 2-3 transition and for Nezzy himself we had two runners on each side getting the mechanic done before the wipe… it was stressful… Maybe my team was just dumb on the day one but we genuinely had no idea
The boss does a pulse of light either light or dark after someone on the team shoots his chest while he is doing the "Nezerac vengence attack" you can look at the first color that flashes and then play accordingly
@@paragon5186 you didn't read what i said? My team was easily able to just steamroll past the 2nd-3rd encounter transition without figuring out there was a heaven mechanic. The boss fight doesn't do anything to combat this by telling you later down the line. Anyone can see the pulse. Not everyone will just know “oh Yeah empower the wrong plate”
@@lmlagg it doesn’t spell it out to you, it’s one of those trial and error mechanics like vault encounter in last wish. Really it’s just takes someone to notice something and try something random. I think it’s the essence of raiding. My team had a similar experience doing Vow day one on the first encounter. It just didn’t work so we brute forced it until we got it.

cataclysm and scission are not bad encounters, you're just playing them in the most boring way possible. have 6 runners for each, not 1 or 2, and they turn into something very coordinated and dynamic, like a baby exhibition (imo best non-boss encounter, if not best encounter overall).
you mention this possibility and why it's good while you talked about nez. but you shit on these encounters despite the mechanic being the same as the nodes at nez, complaining that most of the team just adclears.
kalli, shuro, and morgeth get run over as long as half the team has the slightest inkling of how the mechanics work. they are fun, but not at all challenging in terms of mechanics or damage. having all three of those a tier above vault and planets is laughable. but you also basically have them above every vow encounter except rhulk which is insane cope.

I was hoping someone would notice this. It not my footage of riven. I could have pulled footage of a legit riven run but I chose not to just to see if anyone noticed. I still stand by what I say, the point I was making is that it’s the best designed encounter in all of destiny. But nobody does it legit
