The easiest way to look at this is to balance 3 factors. Promo desirability. Cost per pack. Storage density/postage costs. Get them balanced in your favour and you win every time. Of course, you cant buy a tragically bad product and expect this to turn it in to gold... but from anything decent, these three factors will do well for you.

100% agree with this. I started out making written replies to every person but now it has become a little harder to do so. I do still make sure to read and at least heart every comment so everyone knows i read them. I felt the exact same way when i used to watch other creators so i know what you mean. Appreciate you!
The problem with CGC and PSA and all card grading companies is that they copied COIN grading companies like PCGS. But they didn’t include the guarantee backed by money which defeats the entire purpose of it.
Psa obviously better for profit, but honestly i like the cgc case alot better. i use them for my personal collection, PSA slabes are honestly so thin and ive seen craked PSA slabs have yet to see a craked Beckett or cgc slab
Just bought 25 sealed paldea evolved, 3 chilling reigns, 10 scarlet violet base, 10 silver tempest, 6 fusion strikes, 8 brilliant stars, 3 astral radiance, 2 evolving skies & 6 lost origin booster boxes & threw it in my garage. Will forget about it until the next 5-7 years. I'll come back than & collect my profits when it ages like fine wine adding more newer booster boxes along the way like paradox rift and paldean fates, etc. LOL
@@pokemonsam4607 I bought them on ebay and some at my local tcg. i think it was around 11k in total, i trimmed some of my shares in stocks, took profits & just redistributed some into the pokemon.
I have some good booster boxes and elite trainer boxes but my favorite investment route in the Pokemon tcg are definately the sleeved booster packs. I think its neat that you can just pile them up and just add to the pile whenever you feel like it. Recently ive been buying one sleeved pack a day and its been great. Id say that sleeved packs arent talked about enough in terms if buying to hold and I think they should be talked about more because I believe that they are liquid like a booster box its just more shipping
I agree with your take on ETBs. I still buy them though but it’s for me to stash so when my son gets older he can open some older Pokémon sets if he gets into Pokémon 😂

The price was around $179 - $182 I believe. However price changes on a daily due to flash sales and such.
Modern ETBs are a long term investment except for PC ETBS. I mainly buy them when the price is below value to sit on. Been buying card lots lately instead of sealed as well.
They could be good honestly. They are just such a new product so there is no real performance history to look back on and that's kind of why i left them out of this video. They seem do be doing well so far though and thats a good sign.
There is a product that has many similar points that you made going for it that you made for pre pandemic ETBs (except print run, but that’s everything).It goes under most people’s radar even you did not mention them and it is a main stream product now. Anyhow I’m stocking up on SWSH versions they display nicely.
Hey Alex I go against the grain with collection boxes especially crown zenith boxes that you can get below distribution pricing there is plays to be made with them & other boxes if you get them at the right price same with tins for the packs inside
How do you feel about the specialty set etbs? Like CZ for instance. I know we have booster bundles now but do the etbs for specialty sets do better compared to regular sets with bb?
I still do like Regular ETBs for those sets. I think they are still the most sought after item for now when there are no booster boxes. The bundles may be in the future but they are too new to tell...

No one is buying S&V etbs at market price. 3pack blisters are hard to get a good deal on because there are so cheap as is. For sure if you can get the etbs for the 30-35 dll range on S&V that is a lot better investment then the 3 pack blister. Etbs ave way better promos and they have sleeves that are super collectible especially in the gutter when they are not in print. People live to pimp there decks out. This is opinion and I believe you will see it in the future. 😊
The thing I hate about 3 pack blisters is they go curly over time and the promos are always damaged which can result in (unfair) negative feedback. I know some people do really well on them though so each to their own.
Nomics can you please cover the CGC 10 Pikachu Illustrator and PokeRadar scam that just happened. All of these creators are silent on this situation. It is terrible for the hobby and needs to be brought to peoples attention!

Agreed! I picked up all of those anniversary booster boxes as well as the legendary collection boxes. I think the nostalgia factor will come into play with those as time goes on.
Didn't get it on sorcery. Yes I know there are short term plays there but like I mentioned in another video, any game that is promoted by investors and pretty much only collected for the investment value is doomed to fail long term in my opinion. I would say take the free teddies while they are there but definitely not a 5 year hold in my opinion.

Oh scalping and investing are the same exact thing. I'm tired of hearing some of this crap. Scalpers buy it to flip for a higher price. Investors buy it to flip for a higher price. The only difference is the time they wait to sell for the higher price. So EVERYONE is a god damn scalper by the logic used.

Beckett have taken some pelters recently but they're slabs really are excellent quality.

This may be just me but I think the scarlet violet era etbs will have greater value depending on the promo!
It's definitely possible but the print runs are just so massive and the demand for them isn't as large as it once was. Time will tell though.

No. Psa 10 is worth more than beckett 9.5. Psa 10 is around the same value as beckett pristine 10.
