we had to read this for school this week we were supposed to read the first five chapters and.... i pulled an all-nighter last night and read THE WHOLE BOOK because it was so good. also the ending 😭😭 they did us all dirty with that one
I haven't yet read it but you're totally right about it being cinematic or movie-like because I heard it was being turned into a movie. Someone told me that filming began 2 months ago for it

OMG, I just finished the last book, and I feel like there should be a 4th book, but the ending to the last book is just AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I highly recommend this trilogy to anyone who loves a good mix of romance, drama, and a dystopian type of thing. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!! I cannot even BEGIN to describe the emotions I have for this book!!!!

Cybelle I loved The Darkest Legacy! It was amazing. My second favorite from the series.
The lorien legacies series is amazing and pretty similar to this in some aspects. You should read it!

I just started Darkest Minds!!! It’s amazing!! Yes big on the X-men vibe! I’m only like 2 chapters in and I can tell there are soooo many stuffs to be discovered I’m sure I will I will run out buy the next two when I start getting to the end of this. At this point I can’t really see why she is sooo dangerous and what she has done to the PSI? So far I am confused about her power, she can see events by touching someone and then erase their memory... that’s all I got so far lol. Eager to see what she’s so scared of!! OMG I’m looooving it I have been craving a dystopian since the divergent hangover 🤣.

Also I know the series is the darkest minds, never fade, and then in the afterlife but aren't their books to come in between like Sparks rising and through the dark and in time or something like that? If there are then what order should I read them in?

It’s literally my favourite series ever and the movie was good if it was a standalone film. But it wasn’t, and as an adaption of a book, it sucked and I’m so upset
Now I have a question is there now 4 books of the story and is it only 4 book? (please no spoilers)
The sad part is that Clancy is not in the movie and the character weren't portrayed as they were in the book. The only ones really to me were Ruby and Zu, even though in the book Zu has short hair.
I've been on the fence about this series but after watching you talk about it I think I will give it a go.

I really loved the first book, but I really disliked the second one. I disliked it so much that I haven’t read the 3rd book. I can’t really explain why I hated the second book so much. I didn’t like what Ruby chose to do at the end of the second book.

I am going to read it .Anyway the book review reminder me of Seraph of the end series .But the different is that all adult died in seraph of the novel .The hero also parent say that he is a monster .And pleas no romance I do not like in books not at all.

This book series was the first one I read after not reading fictional novels for years! The Darkest Minds YA dystopian series is phenomenal. It's really captivating and so well- written. The trilogy is fast paced, action- packed and original. I was never bored! The characters are fantastic- Chubbs is my favourite :) The movie on the other is TERRIBLE! I was absolutely mortified with it. AWFUL! :((
