Okay I need the whole series in this format. My only critique is that you didn’t include the one thing T-bone managed to actually do under the mountain (succumb to his horniness, and risk Feyre’s life for a makeout sesh), because that was the tipping point for me, finally got the balls to act and it wasn’t to protect his girl or attack his enemy, it was for a quickie in the shadows

Agreed. My main issue is that the main plot line and premise is not revealed until 75% of the way in. So much of the book was tedious, frustrating and made no sense until the end.

@@zestybutterfly7161 I legitimately did feed Twilight to my brothers rabbits. I dont have any physical copies of this crap, thankfully just downloaded from my sisters audible library instead of spending any of my own money. But if i could burn it i would.
I now fully understand why many people dislike these books. Taking care of the MC seems like taking care of a toddler in the way that they immediately try to kill themselves the second you stop watching.
Yea, that was a major grievance I had with this book but it gets better in other books and she actually grows a brain and has meaningful development as a character.
Yep that is what made me unable to fully get into it. I hate it when you have a character that's supposed to be super badass and independent but the only reason she's just not turbo dead is that the story and the characters within it do not treat her like the adult she is pretending to be because she's not! I also think I could tolerate all of the brainless rule breaking if she had a reason for a lot of it but pretty frequently her reason is you can't tell me what to do and then she goes and does it. That's it. That's the motivation.
An MC who has a lot to learn is letting you learn alongside them. 👍 mistakes and dumb choices make it interesting if played right.
She’s an actual teenager who is uneducated and in a completely different world. This book was just her origin story and she gets better in the next book I promise
The only reason to read this series is for Rhysand and one other character that I will not mention because spoilers. Everyone else can jump in a lake. That said, the first book was hard to get through (really because of Feyre's dumb decisions) but as the series goes on, it is actually interesting and of course Rhysand exists, so yeah.
The final book in the series came out recently, but I haven't read it yet. Fingers crossed that it will actually be good.

The fact that Nesta was resistant to Tamlin's glamour is excellent foreshadowing to how fun her character arc is

Over the years, we’ve stolen most of each other’s favorite series. However, she was intimidated by Stormlight and Wheel of Time. Whereas I had previously tried to start ACOTAR but couldn’t stand Feyre or Tampon. So we made a trade of ACOTAR and Stormlight

Tbh I read the first book and thought “What a mess” but since I bought the first two books together I had to read the second book as well (because for some reason I can’t put books in my shelf unless they are read) and I enjoyed the second book a lot more. Well objectively speaking I am not sure if one could call it a “good” book but I somehow couldn’t put it down. Also I would only recommend If you enjoy smut😵💫

This summary was so good!!! and ...I'm a little glad that i never read the books, because this is just the Original story of the "Beauty and the Beast" but if the beast was a faire and instead of courtship between the two parties is just games of monopoly at night, and the beauty is just the stereotipical "not like other girls" mix with "crazy girl" on steroids... the heck has literature come to... no offense to the people that love the books, is just not my taste
I am waiting for the "I'm not like other girls, I'm gay" turn. Like, the story goes on for an entire book and in the end the MC just comes out and all the love interest get vaporized.
I never read YA books for several reasons, and the lack of originality/self-irony mixed to the stereotypical pairings you can predict from a mild away is one of them.

There is a book called "Beauty" by Robin McKinley that is a retelling of Beauty and the beast. The part with the MC and her family is reeeaaalllllyyyyy similar to that book. (It was written in the 1970s)

If you like sci fi and hate spice, The Expanse book series is one of my all time favorite series ever. I hate how impossible it is to find fantasy and sci fi books that dont rely on unecessary romantic drama and/or sexual violence to create tension. I have such low tolerance for toxic romantic tropes, and practically no tolerance for SA in my leisurely fiction. (Not a problem for Maas, just a problem in the fantasy and sci fi genres in general).
But damn i wish we could have more books about wholesome relationships and believable sources of earned tension. Resorting to sex to advance your plot at every turn is so overused and old and boring.
