I own it almost immediately and it's a gorgeous design with a quirky date at 12 a design from a 60s Carrera 3147 Dato 12 watch. One can run the choreograph full time without additional wear and tear and giving full view of the date at 12.
Absolutely beautiful design. Wow. I love the date at 12. It’s so rare to see it. I think Longines has a heritage model that features this, but that’s about all I can think of.

Is it safe to let the chrono hand run continuously all day? How would it effect the power reserve? Would doing so risk wearing down the gears or increasing the chance of damage from being banged around?
In modern watches it's not really a problem given the quality of materials and lubrications. But, the power reserve is of course affected if you keep it running. Keeping it runnig all the time does mean wear is a bit more, but it's marginal. We can;t confirm it means needing servive any quicker than the manufacturer recommends.

Other companies learn from their mistakes and make the necessary corrections, why can't Tag? Banana Republic changed their logo once and sales dropped, so they wisely changed it back. People vote with their wallets.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 but they are making corrections and their whole collection is changing. I’d be amazed if these glass boxes aren’t in the top watches of the year. They’ll stick with the TAG logo for sure.
beautiful watch, it's my favourite in absolute. if it existed a quartz version exactly like this I would spend even 1000€. unfortunately I don' t know why but the whole market has been floaded by chrono movements of 39-40-41mm where a usuful chrono subdial has been replaced by an idiotic 24h am/pm subdial that sounds to me being a way to save difficulties in mechanisms. If you search for a real chrono with all the useuful dials a chrono should feature, you necessarily must pick a larger one or go for these luxury models and spend thousand euros/dollars.
I love the Carrera design and the history behind it. The fact the date is at 12 o clock is historical and is just a reason to start the chronograph! 👍

Is it automatic or need self winding like Omega Speed Master.
The Glassbox is an automatic watch, no need to wind it by hand (although you could through the crown if you want).

Sorry Tag, but I am not paying $6K for a watch only worth $3K. Also drop the 'Tag' in the name and just keep the 'Heuer'.
Why drop the TAG? People need to get over that. It’s TAG Heuer. It’s progressing under the new vision , which includes TAG in the name.

Sounds like it is out of your budget. Perhaps a Tissot? Sorry. Your bias will hurt you in appreciating a good watch. Not only this one, but others
