Yes, Mauritius biryani is better than in India.. Food preferences are personal, and it’s okay to have different tastes.. I’ve had the opportunity to visit India and try authentic biryani, and while I respect the rich flavors and traditions behind it, I simply prefer the taste of Mauritius biryani.. it’s just what suits my palate.. Everyone has their own favorites, and that’s the beauty of food-it’s so diverse, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy.. Peace..😊

@@ashvinoo7 Cheers mate. I can understand that. Thank you for giving consideration to my comment. Much appreciated. Keep up the great work ou are doing.
Although I do appreciate Mauritius biryani, Mauritius is just a dot on the map. Dishes in India are diverse and you'll find a new variation just by travelling 20 to 30 kms. Therefore I would assume that you can't find better in India. Let's just say that Mauritius biryani is unique, I think this is fair.
A beautiful country. Thanks Luke for sharing. Unfortunately Mauritius is a net importer of food and has a self-sufficiency ratio of 25%. The country imports many of its essential food requirements due to its small size, lack of economies of scale, and sugarcane's economic advantage.
Why do you think only Indians can cook the best biryani.?? Mauritian cuisine is AWESOME and delicious. The people are also hospitable. And theres no CRIME. 😊
That's so awesome! I made my stock of 'boulettes' Niouk Yen (which Ashvin referred to as Boulette Chouchou) and Sao Mai 4 months after arriving in Canada, and it's nearly over... gotta replenish :D :D. Chayotte is so expensive here, NGL. Like during winter 1 piece is around $0.99 and summer 1 piece is around $1.99-2.50 💀 (I mean if you compare the price to the one in Mauritius). Mauritian biryani is by far the best. It's not as spicy (hotness) as Indian one, but it's very packed with flavours! You should also try some of the "street grilled burgers/sandwich" like Tipo Grill, Ricardo. If you're still in Mauritius, you can visit those as well, they're cheap, but not bad at all.
@@diyashikha93 Why and who are you to claim on behalf of Europeans and Americans ? 🤔 Indian biryani is much better while Mauritian one seems like a knock off. 😴

No offence but Biriyani in original Indian form has very little almost no gravy , the taste the aroma is entirely carried with the fragrant rice and the dry but tender meat and the entire taste is the smell through nose and when it’s in mouth , the gravy which they are mixing is supposed to get evaporated as steam in flavour gets in the grains of rice and the meat and needs no mixing .. this looks like Pulav and gravy meat
