Thank you both for sharing your talent and keeping it clean. You are such a rare treasure. 🥰 I’m going to check out your store. I could always use a good smile.
The Grand Ol' Opry song made me remember listening to the radio after going to bed. I would tune in WCKY in Cincinnati, OH and listen to Wayne Rainey. I rigged up a small speaker to go under my pillow, and the light from the vacuum tubes kept me from being afraid of the dark. That was an exciting time, a long long time ago.
WSM on the radio Saturday nights after I was suppose to be asleep - a regular thing but only in winter because the signal would ride the skip all the way to Minnesota in the winter time. That was a long time ago.
I'm 75 , i recall many sat nite my cousin hooking radio to car battery so we could hear the grand ole opry. my cousin called it the grand ole uproar. he went home in 1968.. them was the good times and the simple times. these times are the worse. this was in early 50s in rural Choctaw county, Alabama OUR SAVIOR DONT LIKE THESE TIMES. HE WILL BE BACK SOON. BEST BE ALL BE READY. GOD BLESS U BOTH AND SPECIAL LOVE TO UR MOTHER
A fried piece of bolony between two pieces of fried cornbread, dipped into a bowl of pinto beans sounds mighty fine to me. Both my Parents grew up in the depression era of Dust Bowl Oklahoma. They had no idea that they were poor. Grandma made their clothes and Grandad made sure they were fed. They had everything they needed. To this day, one of my favorite meals is a big ol' pot of pinto beans chock full of salt pork, with cornbread and pan-fried taters. A side of fresh Sliced Tomatoes is the icing on that cake. Thank you Brothers. We all know you're not morons.
A fried piece of bolony between two pieces of fried cornbread, dipped into a bowl of pinto beans sounds like an Arkansas special. Soul food for all those that chopped cotton, picked it then pulled boles for 2cents a pound. Had very little money, (mid 1950's) but we were happy, contented and treated people right. What I wouldn't give for a Sat night riding to town in the back of Grandpa Shelton's old GMC and getting there in time for the drawing with a whole weeks wages in my pocket . . . a whole quarter! That would get us a sodi-pop, a giggle bar, some caps for my pistol and a movie. I miss those times. But nothing beats balony, beans and fried cornbread. Now that is FOOD! Yep. Arkansas Special. That's what that sandwich is!
I heard "what is forward heavy but backward not" i immediately thought of horses because 70 percent of their weight is carried on their front half, although the back is still heavy, just not as much so as the front😂
This is a cool channel and your God fearing which is fantastic. I misunderstood the second one and thought you said what gets wetter and wetter the more it drives. So I thought a boat. lol. The travelling riddle I thought of a globe. Couldn't figure out the ton riddle.
