Burley, Got one for ya. I was traveling through Kentucky the other day and stopped at a cafe to eat. Went in, sat down down and a very pretty waitress came over and greeted me. I asked for a cup of coffee and a menu. She returned shortly with the coffee and menu and said she'd be back to take my order. I opened the menu and there were no words anywhere in it, just pictures. There were pictures of every food item they offered and pictures of the money that it cost. The waitress returned and I told her I'd like a bologna sandwich on plain bread with mustard and a side of tater salad. She said "I'll be right back with it".. I said, just a minute, I've got a question. "Why do you have just pictures in your menu and no words?" She said, "we get alot of Bango pickers in here and we got tired of having to read the menu for them."
I rode the Greyhound once...........in 1984 from Knoxville TN to Alma , MI. I have no idea why this one particular stop sticks in my head to this day but it was Beria KY..........to this day al I remember is the driver calling out ............Bahreeeeeeah, Bahreeeeeeeeeeeeah........every time I drive by there I tell that story to my family.

I have always thought that a pay toilet should be illegal! I was a BB Stacker (46150) in the USAF (1973-1979) until I hurt my back in 1975. I got the same treatment from the doctor. I also had to quit handling munitions and went into telecommunications. We had a guy in basic training from the mountains of TN who decided he didn't want to stay so he left and went home. He got brought back by the MPs and told the rest of us he didn't realize he couldn't leave when he wanted. May the Lord Bless you and your families. I don't think we have all that long to wait until His Return!
I get whole smoked whitefish from Michigan. Heads & tail on but they are cleaned good inside. About 16” long. Taste great. I’m in Indiana , Grandma was from Kentucky. She could stop bleeding . No one believed it till they saw it happen .
When you come to Oklahoma y'all need try BBQ smoked bologna. If you think fried bologna is good imagine hickory smoked bologna with BBQ sauce poured over it. MMMMM
