I was amazed when I saw the Aurora. I didn’t think they would add a spectacle of nature to animal crossing. Also I got heavy shooting stars when I first saw my first shooting star session. Edit: I also got scorpion/moneyrock island one my third day playing so that’s nice I guess.

it baffles me that my 2 starter villagers (lyman & plucky) share a birthday. the odds of me having 2 villagers with the same birthday were already incredibly rare, but those 2 villagers being the 2 randomly generated jock and sisterly is even crazier! what a lovely surprise :D
I never even knew they were a thing in the game. Were they there from the very beginning? Because I played like +300 hours the first month the game came out and literally never saw them, and then I took a really long break, one of my villagers telling me it's been like 11 months or so... (I basically rage quitted because the new fishes were super rare and near impossible to catch, demanding insane reaction times for such ultra casual game)

Since New Horizons is my first ever Animal Crossing game, I didn't know any character nor what any of their birthdays are. When I first started playing, I had shooting stars and invited my friends to come over. it was the first time I'd seen stars in AC ever! It was a heavy star pattern because I literally could not walk anywhere without 3-4 stars happening. I completed the nook miles achievement in that 1 night for making all the wishes on the stars, it was crazy!

@@KVoinre IMO there’s so much QoL stuff missing from NH and a general lack of content. There are cool new features but after a year I’ve stopped playing. The repetitive villager dialogue is really disappointing and makes daily play monotonous and cheap.

I don’t remember if it was on this video, the part two, or somewhere on Twitter, but someone mentioned that they once had two phone calls in the same morning (which I’ve also had). There’d now be a way to potentially get THREE phone calls, but you’d need a reasonably new save file to do step two. 1. Donate something to the Nook’s Cranny dropbox. The Nooks will call you in the morning to let you know the Bells have been deposited. 2. Visit Harvey’s Island for the very first time and take one Villager. Normally he will call you reach your island & leave your airport, but if you save & quit from HIS island & pick the game up the next day, he’ll call you then instead (either before the Nooks or after, I don’t remember which) 3. Installing the Happy Home Designer DLC will make Tom Nook call you & ask you to meet Lottie at the airport I know there are other one-time things that result in phone calls as well, but I don’t remember what those are. Anyone else able to help me out?
The luckiest thing for me was finding Coco, Julien, Tia, and Stitches (also Judy, who I didn't want) all in under thirty tickets for a new island. I was shocked!

I can confirm the rarity of finding a cat villager. While searching for Raymond, it took me 8 hours and about 100k Nook Miles before I finally found Bob and took that boy home 😭 I’ve also had the luck of encountering some of the other things, haven’t found Gold Rock island tho 😂

If your dream villager is a cat, you’re going to have a bad time (sans) finding them. There’s 35 cats in the game, and 23 species. Multiply them together and you get 805. Meaning you have a 1 in 805 chance of finding your dream cat villager. (Credits to karamora) And again. You’re correct. Cats are the rarest species to find, the less there is of a species the more likely they are to appear. There’s 35 cats.
I felt like the luckiest person ever when after starting my island in March I got 3 of my dreamies in 1 day irl (I was time travelling through the first month). I got Henry as the first and mandatory campsite villager, Muffy on the first villager hunt on the 3rd ticket and Cyd autofilled the day after Muffy coming. that was truly crazy for me since on my previous island I didn't have any dreamies after playing for 5 months without time travelling. and a few weeks ago I found Raymond in my campsite! absolute shock that was. I don't really like him that much but took him cuz I had to get rid of an enemy. turns out he's pretty chill but definitely 10 times less exciting for me than my other cat villager and a dreamie Tabby
The rarest thing for me so far is Redd having statues, and even when he does, they're typically fake. Seriously, I've collected fifteen paintings and only have three genuine statues. I'm never going to fill the art section of my museum at this rate. :/

9:30 the math is even more complicated than that considering not all birthdays are created equal. I know for a fact people's birthdays are not spread evenly throughout the year, so the likelihood that a particular person was born on a particular day of the year needs to be factored in before the problem can begin. I believe 9 of the 10 most common birthdays are in mid September which is pretty much packed full of ACNH birthdays.

It was my first day looking for Raymond, I used a ticket to go to an island to find him. No villager was there. I came back to my island to finish building a camp. I talked to Mitzi and she talked about the house that was sold. The person who bought it was Raymond.
can’t they ask if someone wants to leave when they’re in your campsite?? i mean, they’d pick a random villager from the ones in your island and say “i heard that ___ wants to leave”. idk i had that happen with alice i think

I swear on everything, I found Raymond on scorpion island. I have never felt so lucky before.
When I first started playing, I had shooting stars and invited my friends to come over. it was the first time I'd seen stars in AC ever! It was a heavy star pattern because I literally could not walk anywhere without 3-4 stars happening. I completed the nook miles achievement in that 1 night for making all the wishes on the stars, it was crazy!

@@KVoinre IMO there’s so much QoL stuff missing from NH and a general lack of content. There are cool new features but after a year I’ve stopped playing. The repetitive villager dialogue is really disappointing and makes daily play monotonous and cheap.

I don’t remember if it was on this video, the part two, or somewhere on Twitter, but someone mentioned that they once had two phone calls in the same morning (which I’ve also had). There’d now be a way to potentially get THREE phone calls, but you’d need a reasonably new save file to do step two.
1. Donate something to the Nook’s Cranny dropbox. The Nooks will call you in the morning to let you know the Bells have been deposited.
2. Visit Harvey’s Island for the very first time and take one Villager. Normally he will call you reach your island & leave your airport, but if you save & quit from HIS island & pick the game up the next day, he’ll call you then instead (either before the Nooks or after, I don’t remember which)
3. Installing the Happy Home Designer DLC will make Tom Nook call you & ask you to meet Lottie at the airport
I know there are other one-time things that result in phone calls as well, but I don’t remember what those are. Anyone else able to help me out?

I can confirm the rarity of finding a cat villager. While searching for Raymond, it took me 8 hours and about 100k Nook Miles before I finally found Bob and took that boy home 😭

I felt like the luckiest person ever when after starting my island in March I got 3 of my dreamies in 1 day irl (I was time travelling through the first month). I got Henry as the first and mandatory campsite villager, Muffy on the first villager hunt on the 3rd ticket and Cyd autofilled the day after Muffy coming. that was truly crazy for me since on my previous island I didn't have any dreamies after playing for 5 months without time travelling. and a few weeks ago I found Raymond in my campsite! absolute shock that was. I don't really like him that much but took him cuz I had to get rid of an enemy. turns out he's pretty chill but definitely 10 times less exciting for me than my other cat villager and a dreamie Tabby
The rarest thing for me so far is Redd having statues, and even when he does, they're typically fake. Seriously, I've collected fifteen paintings and only have three genuine statues. I'm never going to fill the art section of my museum at this rate. :/

Hey they don’t always announce it at resident services, your villagers will tell you sometimes if you’re supposed to have a shower that night though.
I literally had the heavy shooting star shower two days ago and I think I made a wish to them like 50 times. The next day I found 11 star fragments at the beach. 10 of them were the regular ones and one was a scorpio one. Yay?

I know for a fact people's birthdays are not spread evenly throughout the year, so the likelihood that a particular person was born on a particular day of the year needs to be factored in before the problem can begin. I believe 9 of the 10 most common birthdays are in mid September which is pretty much packed full of ACNH birthdays.
