I explained to many people that this was a reason to respect this man, just as we and many of our elders accepted the victory of Allama Sanaullah Amritsari (ra) against the kazzab and dajjal of qadian. A lot of people laugh and joke about speakers corner, but this brother spent a significant amount of his youth defending Islam, and being a positive figure in the defence of Islam, and has had a positive impact on the younger generations not only in the UK but elsewhere in the Muslim world.

This is the most beautiful thing I saw in a long while. There’s something morally elevated and unfathomable about men of different opinions uniting on one tawheed. Our Quran is one, our sunnah is one, and the spirituality aspect of our religion (call it tassawuf or tazkiya) is well defined by the beloved Prophet pbuh and the righteous of the sahaba ra. I really liked when sheikh Asrar mentioned Ghazali’s tassawuf, because Imam Ghazali ra was a man so committed to truth and intellectualism that he took it to the depth of what the mind can handle. It was his tassawuf (real spirituality not shirky rituals), and thus his direct experience of Allah’s SWT mercy, that led him to find stability and solid ground for his later years. No amount of intellectualism can beat direct experience of the Almighty’s rahma and light. I pray for those who have aversion and fear to connecting to Allah’s mercy through the heart. You don’t need to prostrate to a grave (ma’adaAllah) to strengthen your heart and compassion, you just need to be sincere and get closer to Allah SWT through prayer, dhikr, fasting and other Quranic/sunnah ways. May Allah SWT keep us united on tawheed.

Sufis are Sunni Muslims who follow the Sunnah. Just like you have a Qu'ran Hifaz or a hadeeth scholar. They specialise in their field. Sufis focus on spirituality and dhikr. They focus on the inner. You brothers act like Sufis are separate to Sunni Islam.

Tasawwuf is rooted in the Salaf. Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah has been quoted as saying he wore the cloak of Abdul Qaadir Jelani rahimahullah among others. This indicates that he had taken bayah and was probably even a Shaykh within the Tariqah
Being athari scholars doesn't stop them from being part of a tariqah. Ibn al jawzi and abdul qadir al jillani were also athari yet were the biggest sufis

You have no concern with them; their affair is only with Allah, then He will inform them of what they did.
@@marsx2 The athari's hold the aqidah of Ahmed Ibn Hanbul, the Ashari's and Maturidi's hold the aqidah of Imam Shafii and imam Abu Haneefa. All 3 do not differ in fundamental principles of aqidah which is why they're all considered Ahlus sunnah. Thats why majority of Hanafi's throughtout history are Maturidi's, majority of Maliki's and Shafii's are Ashari and Hanbali's are Athari's. However more recent Athari's deviated from their aqidah.

And Ahmed Reza Khan declares 4 top scholars of Deobond Kafeer ( his book - Usamul Harmain, 1905).In response, Deobond ulemas declare Reza Khan as army of Shaitan, Iblees ( Al mufannad al muhannad , 1906). So, in Indian subcontinent, Hanafis are divided into 2 large groups- Deobondi, Berelvis. Even, they pray namaj in separate mosques.

Tasawwuf is rooted in the Salaf.
Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah has been quoted as saying he wore the cloak of Abdul Qaadir Jelani rahimahullah among others.
This indicates that he had taken bayah and was probably even a Shaykh within the Tariqah
Ibn Taymiyyah and AbdulQadir Jeylani (rahimahumullahu Ta’ala) were Athari Scholars.
Being athari scholars doesn't stop them from being part of a tariqah. Ibn al jawzi and abdul qadir al jillani were also athari yet were the biggest sufis

I'm a Sunni from India and I want to make this clear that Sufism in not a different sect, it's a part of ahlus sunnah wal jamah, the teachings of Sufis are important, they bring you closer to Allah.
Sufism is a misguidance sect full of shirk and bid’a! Please stay away from it, the prophet was not a Sufi nor the sahaba and also not the later generations. Learn you’re correct aqieda please.

@@marsx2 The athari's hold the aqidah of Ahmed Ibn Hanbul, the Ashari's and Maturidi's hold the aqidah of Imam Shafii and imam Abu Haneefa. All 3 do not differ in fundamental principles of aqidah which is why they're all considered Ahlus sunnah. Thats why majority of Hanafi's throughtout history are Maturidi's, majority of Maliki's and Shafii's are Ashari and Hanbali's are Athari's. However more recent Athari's deviated from their aqidah.

And Ahmed Reza Khan declares 4 top scholars of Deobond Kafeer ( his book - Usamul Harmain, 1905).In response, Deobond ulemas declare Reza Khan as army of Shaitan, Iblees ( Al mufannad al muhannad , 1906). So, in Indian subcontinent, Hanafis are divided into 2 large groups-
Deobondi, Berelvis. Even, they pray namaj in separate mosques.
