Hi steve, I flew out to Toronto from Manchester for a fitting with Ian last July and its a brilliant experience! If you fly Air Transat its much cheaper than BA or Air Canada and they fly your Clubs for free. PS I'm coping quite well with just the one Kidney LOL

@@CraigalFun The main change that I made was to my Driver, I ended up with the PING G400 MAX it was just perfect for my game, has added about 12Yards of distance and a much tighter dispersion, which has had a major impact upon my game. The rest of my Bag is still evolving, I put a Titleist hybrid in and may add another this season. I am still experimenting with my Putter and will probably end up with an EvnRoll but its still a work in progress. I'm hoping to make another trip this summer to finalise the Bag.

Matt is so nonchalant!!!! Hitting it miles and so effortlessly. Absolutely brilliant to watch guys. Just shows the power of correct fitting.
I marvel at Matt’s speed. Can’t see where it comes from. Not long or crazy laggy. He doesn’t seem to be a big guy. And nothing looks like it’s moving quickly to the eye (even as smooth as Freddy is, you can at least see his hips moving quickly, and he has a long arm swing). Guys who move a club or a bat or a ball with more speed than it looks like they should have always amazed me.
Three things. One, you guys bring life into the science of golf and how adjusting shafts, lie, and every part of the club to affect ball flight, I love it. Two, Matt has one of the smoothest swings I've ever seen. I wish I could find that kind of rhythm. And three, I have never taken cobra seriously as a golf club company. For whatever reason, they have never looked serious to me. Noone ever really played with Cobra clubs besides Ricky. But I tell you what that F9 has caught my eye. That will definitely be my next driver.
It is also interesting how Matty struggles with spin and the real low spin drivers don't work for him. With his speed and consistent strike, I don't follow that. Maybe you can talk about that in a Q&A...or at my house over ribs and beer...lol...your call. Just use that Quantum realm energy

Great vid. This club looks like a real leader so far especially with the lower price. It’d be interesting to see your 100 mph chs tester hit it and maybe with the stock shaft options vs the fitted shaft options so we can see the value of custom shafts.

tested f9 on indoor launch monitor, off the shelf it went 5mph faster than my current f7....and I'm a stiff olf fart with back issues :)

I keep saying it, but this is just next level content lads. The problem now is how disappointed us people who don't have access to txg will be when getting fit again.
There are many great club fitters out there...just make sure you do your due diligence with your first fitting. Us the vast amount of info here to your advantage; most of all, do not leave any question you have on the floor. One thing I can assure you, your first fitting will NOT be your last...I know mine is not! Moreover, I'm finding out that after my fitting this past December, I'm more in tune with my gear, swing and how it is being represented on the course with each shot. I have a strong feeling, six months from now, I'm doing another full bag fitting.

This club has me intrigued...I am a low striker on the driver and the loss of ball speed often means my Cobra King LTD 3 w is the club of choice. And its 150 bucks cheaper than the other new releases!

that ball speed was amazing - and not just on center strikes. Across the whole face was fast. Interested in finding out how you tell if a player needs high / low spin for driver as this was critical in finding the right fit for Matty...

doesn't adding that lead tape to the club change the CG characteristics of the club?
I think you owe it to the G400 to try that shaft in it, and while you're at it, see if some led tape at the front will help.
Can you guys PLEASE do a shoot out between the latest drivers and perhaps 2-3 of the best from 18/18 (g400 lst/rogue SZ etc)

Never been a cobra driver fan. Always found they felt almost dead off the face, tried this and it’s just phenomenal. The sound is outrageous. So very tempted by this one

I’m speechless! What an amazing demonstration of how important it is to get fitted given the player and the complexity of current golf equipment. It leaves me to ponder how much the efficiency will improve given a shaft that is also been pured.

Got fitted today for this. Tried Epic Flash, was the same as my M2, and the ST190G which I wanted to work but just didn't. The F9 with Atmos TS Blue 6S added 3.8mph to my ball speed and an average drive up nearly 8 metres on the M2. This and the ST190 reviews were the clinchers for me to find a new driver. Great stuff guys.

I think some club heads are suited to very fast swings! maybe a 90-100 guy might find this driver less good....i'm single figures..i tried all top releases other day including f9...the F9 was the worse driver i tested! the Epic Flash blew it away and all the others...my swing speed was averaging 102...on clean hits the F9 went nowhere for me....i was desp for it too, as it looked nice and was cheapest!
I'll second that my swing speed is around 100mph and really wanted to game this f9 but it left me dissapointed. Tried m5/m6 and then fitter handed me flash sub zero..WOW all i can say picked up 5mph ball speed 9/10 yds distance over f9 and i tried 5 shafts in each. Just didn't work at all for me. My current driver epic was way down on distance compared to flash sub zero so the f9 wont suit all that's why we get fitted. Safe to say flash sub is ordered along with 3 fairway wood, it's the best driver i have ever tested for distance and dispersion for sure.
I am a believer in shafts making a difference and it's based on personal experience. I got a 2016 m2 3w with the stock shaft in stiff. I couldn't hit the thing consistently and was barely getting 230-240 out of it. I went to the local shop and asked what they had from pulls. All they had was an Aldila 110 msi rogue. Literally the first time I gamed it I was striping it 250 plus and it's only got better over the last 6 months. So much so that I can't even beat it with my driver and now I'm trying to find a new one. The only thing that changed was a shaft that suits my swing better. I also changed my driver shaft to a project x hzrdus and eliminated some shots I have been trying to get rid of for a year. No lessons, no swing changes just different shafts. So for me it makes a difference. Same thing with irons. I'm a nippon guy it appears, other shafts just don't seem to work for me. Great video again!
Very impressive with the focus on speed through head aerodynamic and face speed versus just face speed makes me think other will have to follow suit. Never thought Cobra was an option, but changed my mind. Keep up with the great content, love it!

Lol I just watched a crossfield video where he compared a titleist cb 6 iron with 30 loft and 37.5” length to g410 7 iron 30 loft and 37 inch. The g410 launched slightly higher yet his conclusion was it doesn’t make a difference. Shows exactly the limited detail he looks into these tests. Oh and he hits 3 shots and makes the judgment but doesn’t eliminate one clear outlier probably low strike that was 4 degree lower launch than the others. Even though those differences and it still launches higher. Yet he concluded it doesn’t haha. Hard to take him serious.
Not what happened though is it.
His swing is just so efficient - just so much potential coiled up there in the top of the swing and then just.....boom town. Well done on getting that fit so dialed in

Love the details you get from a great fitting. I had worked with a few recently. Found the one who wasn't just switching clubs, but really helped tweaked the shafts from the stock to ones that were in my budget. Ended up with a G400 with Aldila NV 2kvx orange to help increase my spin numbers... Of course, I want to try that Cobra now

Such precise information to utilize no matter what your swing speed is. We can all use this information to our advantage. Insane. Hey honey. I was just cleaning my driver and the cat got in my feet and tripped me over and I snapped the shaft (over my knee) and cracked the head (with a hammer). Yeah, I know, bummer. Cobra have a cheap one at the moment, that will have to do me. No I'm not going to get one of those really expensive one, the F9 will do.

This is insane. It makes me wonder what Cobra Golf will come up with in the future to beat this thing. Miss-hits at that speed still send the ball flying so well.
Oh how I regretted not ordering the F9 by the end of January for the 10% discount. I wished this video would have come out sooner and I would have ordered the F9.

Just finished getting fitted. Cobra 9deg. Weight forward. Limited shafts on offer at American golf but a good fit. Got the smoke shaft. 250 with my sldr. 270 with the cobra. 275 with epic sub zero but dispersion was better with f9. Ball speed 149. Spin rpm 2700 and under. Rpm with sldr was 3300. I generally create alot of spin and high ball flight. Any other shaft recommendations from TXG that I can play around with. Thanks again guys just wish you were in Ireland.
I tried f9 and m5/m6 and wanted to game one of these but guy at American golf handed me flash sub zero and after three shafts was smashing it 9/10 yds longer than any other driver. I'm a high spin player but got spin to 2100/2200 and dispersion was much tighter than my current epic but distance was way up. Was that impressed i also ordered 3 fairway wood. All of this year's drivers very similar but a good fitting found me the best driver of the bunch the flash sub zero 9* with evenflow green 50 stiff shaft at 45 inch playing length 👍
@@darrenbell6376 yeah I also found the epic sub zero a bit longer. But I had to go with the dispersion numbers first. The epic is a beautiful looking club and better on the eye. I thought the taylormade m5 was terrible and didn't bother with the m6. I've been playing taylormade for over 20 years. Really disappointed. My top 3 was the f9, epic and ts3.
