I totally agree it's maybe just coz its the first series I only came across it while scrolling and then binged the series till I was caught up hopefully the contestants will post about on their own TH-cam pages so that they can bring more audience next series ❤

Just to echo everyone else's comments, excellent series, not sure if you came up with the format but it's genuinely brilliant. It got pushed me to randomly in the algorithm and I binged it all in a week and was gagging for a new episode. I have no idea how you have the connections to get all these big guests instantly but it's very impressive and should help the growth a lot. I can't wait for Season 2

I had some thoughts about the format and show, perhaps you've already thought about all this as well and discounted it but figured it couldn't hurt to give my 2c.
- Putting the question doublers only in the last 5 questions of the show still gives equal odds but makes the end more tense. You could assign the question doublers to 2 questions only after the first 5 have been asked.
- The questions are largely based on geography and British culture; countries are often the answers. It'd be cool to have some more family feud or 8oo10c-style questions mixed in, such as opinion polls, surveys, ... (e.g. top 10 pets, top 10 fears, top 10 consumed beverages, etc.)
- It would be more exciting if the tension answer cost the contestants more or a wrong answer isn't penalised as much; now there's not much difference between the two.
I totally agree with all of these ideas. Great tweaks to a great format!

1) This is an idea being floated about, it does make it difficult on episodes of 4 people, or 6 people, as it screws with the whole 2 rounds of 5 format, I’m still thinking of a way to get round this.
2) You are right, mainly because “facts” like population etc by not being opinion cannot be debated (unless I write the answers wrong!) - I am considering allow this a little bit in series 2, I do try of course to make not cross over answers where possible. Each quiz is tailored to the guests, you’ll notice in episode 3 for example where computer games, pop culture etc was requested there weren’t so many, for things like sport I can also do a quiz without any geography questions, more geography “caveats”
3) The current scoring is something that’s been honed for a few years. The reason why it’s set like this is that someone winning must give a correct answer, there have been games where the person winning (when scoring was different) could in theory just give a couple of incorrect answers to take the game. So far (touch wood) the scoring has been relatively close, and tight, someone I don’t think has taken an episode before the last question totally.
I am always looking to make things better so I do very much appreciate all feedback, and I’m really glad you are enjoying the content.

Randomnly stumbled across this series the other week and was shocked because I did a quiz in sixth form in 2021 with near enough the exact same format but called it Obscurity instead of Tension lmao. Great series!

I'm obsessed. I've been writing my own questions to quiz my family and friends, on top of asking them some of these. I don't know what's more fun: doing the research into the questions or hearing their answers
It certainly is a thrill. My only tip when writing your own, is cater for the audience. Hardest part is ensuring everyone taking part can at least have a go at a guess, even if it’s a subject they “think” they don’t know about. Glad you’re enjoying!

I saw one of the other comments, i think the format as it is via webcam is excellent, studio would run it. I'd just recommend better soundproofing on your end, you come over very tinny sometimes.

@@rogerjohnson6676 yep, that’s the whole idea. Each quiz is built around the contestants but I don’t want to leave anyone out playing at home. Granted if the subject is totally out the remit, there’s not much i can do! Glad you’re enjoying.
I would've done well at this. Most of my answers were between 5-10 and I got South Africa spot on as well in the population question.
