So bio-dad basically ignored his kids unless he wanted to show off, prioritized his new kids over them, then cut them off completely because the man who was actually there for them wanted to adopt them....but then wanted to come back once he was alone and had nobody else?
Story 2...I did not expect it to be Jennifer realizing that she was wrong and not in the right place to be married. I'm glad she did tho, and I hope she gets the help she needs.

Agree with your statement on Story 2. Most stories the Jennifer would double down on their bs. This Jennifer actually admits her problem and is seeking help for it and rightfully staying away from relationships in the meantime

Story #3 - That bride is a fucking genius, lol. I like her.
By inviting OP and one other cousin from the would-be groom's side to the party, her ex knows there are people in his family who know the real story. He can't blame OP for causing this, nor can he twist this back on the bride, because he knows OP will be able to call him out. And even if OP is discredited in some way, there's another cousin who can confirm. They can keep his reaction under control with nothing but a sly smile and a knowing glance in his direction. As long as they have that card to play, he can't twist the truth without being exposed as a humongous dumb ass.
I'm just in awe of how clever women can be in these social situations. I wouldn't have come up with that in a million years, but they have this dude under their thumb with no effort at all. And there was no grand conspiracy to enact this, just a casual dinner that was already planned and paid for. As effortless as it is diabolical... I have no doubt that bride can have any husband she wants, she's got her shit together. Respect.

Seriously WTF, I seen how tattoos are done on various shows, and know it takes a decent amount of time to do them.
This would extended the wedding and made things way awkward!
Plus where he was going to have it applied?
He have to remove his tux and shirt to get it on his arm alone.
Add the bride wedding dress, and...oooh wow... I just got a headache from thinking of how big of a disaster this would become.... Now i know what other people mean when they say the stupidity they see or learn of causes their heads to hurt.
Also the mom I'm sure has no idea how much trouble and unsafe ti would been and embarrassing this would been for everyone!

First story: I think that essentially NC is good for both parties. Seems like OP wasn't (and isn't) a good dad, but OP shouldn't be surprised that he wasn't too keen on continuing any sort of relationship after she and her sister that they want another man as their father. And him adopting his then-wife's kid is different. Legally, you can have lots of children, but (afaik) only two parents

No. I'll give you a tattoo as a wedding gift but not at the wedding.

1st story: so the 12 year old sister as you always say this child had enough common sense to not want to go and be around this man his family anymore because they were mistreating her and she NOTICED it. Took actions and decided to cut her losses.
But op on the other hand looked at it a lot different because they are family and I guess she was okay with the abuse now you the sister was younger than her in knew better, but opie didn't?
This right here this situation right here shows that children notice certain behavior and situations and they can remove themselves from those situations some just choose to stay, for what reason I don't know maybe their weak-minded brainwashed whatever.
I'm also trying to figure out what Opie's angle is because she decided to allow this other man to adopt her and when she claimed that her her daddy relationship was supposed to be so good but not reality she was benefiting from her father's attention. And I really don't feel sorry for Opie.

@fonandoozmando5961 He was the one who pushed them away first. If he actually cared he would have actually spent time with OP and OP's sister. It seems like to me that the reason the adoption happened was because the step-father was there and was more of a dad to them than the biological father was. To be truthful, it seems like it wasn't a healthy relationship for either side and that going NC was the best for both sides.

This situation is quite complicated, and it's hard to determine who is truly at fault. On one hand, it's clear that the father wasn't very good at his role. On the other hand, the reaction he had was predictable. After all, being told that another man is seen as a father figure would naturally upset anyone.
The father’s shortcomings are obvious, and it makes sense that OP didn't feel a strong bond with him. But it seems naive for OP to think she could present him with documents declaring someone else as her father without expecting a strong emotional response.
While OP’s actions weren’t necessarily wrong, they showed a lack of maturity and foresight. She should have known that this news would hurt and anger her father. His reaction, though intense, was understandable given the circumstances. OP needed to be better prepared for the fallout of her decision.

    • @deadsouljaguar7041

@@SexManNordin True about this situation being a bit complicated but there's always a lack of maturity between both ends. The father only reached out to op because he had no one, I don't know if he regretted his actions as he chose the step family over his bio kids which is something I can relate to. However, I think her friend's shouldn't really delete the message even though op asked them to. It doesn't really feel right but in the end it's always up to Op to decide how she should deal with this.
