"I've been in an abusive relationship before and this isn't one"
*proceeds to tell one of the most manipulative abusive relationship in the subreddit*
I really don't get it, how on Earth do people not see that their significant other is crazy until they're screaming at 2am in the drive way? Does being in love really fog their minds that much? 😨
A lot of people do it's just that those stories rarely make it to reddit.
This is why i will never understand relationships why people become so blind to red flags like idiots
Love, or infatuation rather, can completely rob us of our rationality.
Second only to _jealousy,_ as OP’s ex demonstrated..
@Echo_9 personally I was blind due to ignorance and rationing it away. On top of that people are very good at hiding their crazy until they feel they've locked you in. Luckily in the end I got out cleanly but learned many hard lessons from it all.
Like one person mentionned, it could be a mental break that flipped their personality one day, or it could be that Sarah cheated and is now projecting.
"When you wear rose-tinted glasses, all the red flags just look like flags..."
I like that
Bojack Horseman...
Most abusers only begin the escalation once they feel they have their victim trapped in the situation. Just a thought
I said exactly this almost word for word. You are absolutely right!!!
"she slapped my mother"
My mind: 😌😂🔪
Her attitude should have been enough to break things off but it took his mother getting slapped by this crazy girl from him to finally end things
The moment someone told me I needed to start controlling my family for their own benefit is the moment laugh hysterically as I walk away.
One of the few times I’ve heard about the groom’s mom not being the aggressor.
😂😂
Sounds like she was cheating and blew up her relationship this way instead of admitting to being a cheater. Most cheaters accuse their SO of cheating...
Get ya ring back bro and walk away. You are allowed to have any friend you like. Her insecurities are her's alone
It sounds like Sarah either went off her meds or someone was trying to force a break up.
😂😂😂
One thing I hate about Reddit is that the comment section always wants you to get the person who wronged you help whether it be through friends or you doing it directly like why the hell is that ever op's responsibility in any of the stories reason 1,297 as to why nobody should ever take any advice from reddit
They ALWAYS defend women like this, try to find any reason and excuse. But don't do same for men, if they did, I would be ok. but they don't.
I hate that they always tell people to get therapy like it isn't expensive. I saw a guy blow up at commenters because he took their advice on getting individual therapy for him and his wife and couples counseling and then finding out it was $600 a week.
@@Weezarvilit's like one post I've read. If I'm not wrong, it's about op's ex gf ignoring the warnings and concerns for her about her creepy friend. She accused him of being controlling and then later she got SA'd by that friend. Her girl friend is on op's side, while she's still calls op controlling for being worried and concerned about her. Someone in that post legit called op a misogynist
Story 2: I can’t help but find it kinda funny. OP says “don’t call it abuse, I know what abuse looks like.” 3 updates later “What he did was abuse!”
Just goes to show that even if you know what abuse is and recognizes all the signs, you can still allow yourself to fall into it again whether you know it or not. Glad she left that scumbag and hope she doesn’t find another one in the future.
Holy hell. I'm at 8:39 in the first story and OP seriously needs to grow a spine.
EDIT: Thank god.
EDIT Again: And OP in second story...
Nawwwww she hit my mom who did nothing she would have lost some teeth and i dont know why you are still care about her get a dammm back bone you cannot be with some one who has people outside the relationship in control
Wishing for the wellbeing of someone who wronged you makes you the bigger person. OP is being the bigger person
And he clearly said that there is no way he is taking her back
@@darryl0745 makes you a fool imagine me telling my would be killer all the best in life naw my boy keep it moving
@@N3yo100 I've heard of a few people doing just that. And they live peacefully
@@darryl0745 thats their choice and i am glad that it worked out for them it never for me so they can go somewhere with that shiny red F up their rear end
@@N3yo100 If you're glad that forgiveness works for some, why do you say the OP should grow a backbone for forgiving? Especially when he still won't touch the ex fiancee with 3ft stick
If that isn't a 🚩nothing else will be. The woman is controlling and abusive. Call her bluff and get away gladly.
Op in story 2 is just a different breed😂
Its so crazy to marry a teenager then get mad that they want a divorce and claim that hes abusive for that😂
She's cheating on you
S1: the fiance is insecure Psychopath...
Why are they always Emmas or Sarahs?
They tend to be very generic names, not as easy to identify
