Not really a "Vs" video, if you're going to test the effectiveness of a blender then both blenders should get the ingredients in the same form and shape. For the Nutribullet to get whole almonds is not a fair comparison with the Vitamix getting already processed almonds. Hope that makes sense.

It makes sense in that regard, but also the nutribullet had taken the almonds as far as they would go. Hard to get the same effectiveness without being able to press it like you can in a vitamix

Do you soak the almonds before? Cause I'd like to do it this way. Is the quantity too much as well in the video? ATM I just have a Vorwerk but considering something smaller... Thanks for your help!

If you had toasted the almonds on a baking tray in the oven for 10 minutes at
180c it helps to release the oils out of the almonds which helps when you come to blitz it plus gives a better flavour....enjoy!

  • @RaymondLohengrin

It is clear that the blend is too dry and the blades are just turning in a pocket of air or space without bleeding anything. You would need to add a little liquid or vegetable oil.
The reason you were able to accomplish it on the blender is because of forcing or pushing the almonds towards the blades.
The champion juicer would probably be a better choice to make nut butters. It has a monster motor. I have done it using the Champion and it works great.

  • @annettelauretta

Breaking down the almonds in the Nutribullet Rx first does make it easier for the Vitamix's motor. However, a more fair comparison would have been to start with whole almonds like you did with the Nutribullet Rx.
That being said, obviously the Vitamix would do the better job because of the tamper.

Forgive me, but the issue with the Nutribullet seems to be that the ingredients don't fall into the base. With the Vitamix, you are using something to press the ingredients down into the blades. Given that the Nutribullet has a Pitcher with an open top, I wonder what would have happened if you had use the plunger to press the ingredients down into the blade in the same way that you did with the Vitamix? I rather suspect it would have worked just as well.

I've just got a blender similar size to the Vitamix but a fraction of the cost, it's a Duronic. I made almond butter in three minutes, I was so impressed, and it was a smooth, pourable constancy. I pulsed my almonds first, then did a minute three times on a slow speed, and it was perfect. The nutribullet I don't think is designed for nut butters, especially of that volumn. Interesting comparison though 😄

What about not using the Tamper in the vitamix? If your comparing apples to apples then you should not use the tamper.
Even using the tamper and the nutribullet doing the majority of the crushing for the vitamix. It took so long.

I am seasoned Vitamix user and to be fair, you should have had the same environment / amount of almond for both machines :-) Also, I make my almond butter and flour in my Vitamix and there is not need to stop the Vitamix at all, you use the tamper to do its job :-) if you roast your almonds, you do not need oil in Vitamix to do butter there :-) Again, nothing against Nutribullet at all and I can't say anything about that machine since I do not own one. I am sure it is good depending on what you do with your machines ;-) i use my Vitamix for soups, flour, different nut butters and making sure to earn its keeps on my counter top :-)

I like my cuisinart food processor for nut butter. I just got the 4 cup mini prep and it was soooo easy! Roasted almonds and no oil. Took 5 easy minutes. Not a giant procedure like unlocking the nutribullet. I’ve made it in my larger cuisinart, too. My vitamix I’m not sure. I feel like I’m killing the motor and it is too frustrating. Cuisinart large or small for me!
