I'd never listened to Gojira before, went to this show for Mastodon and stayed for Gojira, and now I can't stop listening to their music. Incredible show and band.
I love both bands. Listen to one or the other depending on my mood. I love Gojira's commitment to beautiful, meaningful brutality, and I love Mastodon's commitment to evolving their sound and playing whatever the hell they want, while seeming like generally cool dudes.
I went to the show in Boca Raton on May 4th, and even though I came to see gojira and I wasn't very familiar with mastodon, they were both incredible. Gojira's performance was tight and heavy as can be. My dad did say he had a friend who saw mastodon years back and didn't like their performance. They didn't suck 1 bit and were awesome.

To this day I don't remember a better time in my life than when in Melbourne, Joe announces BACK... FUCKING... BONE and then 6:43 a wall of bass hits you and your mind is just blown at the sheer power of this band, especially smaller venues. Goosebumps.
dude i was there that night. both bands absolutely killed it. it was my first metal show an i wanna thank you sooooo much for posting both bands. now i can relive it forever.
Gojira is one of the finest bands in Metal to date. Heavy, Technical, Amazing... I saw them in Coney Island NY for this tour. Epic..... I've seen them live 3 times now. They never disappoint.
@@deathmetal0073 Um... WTF?? Part of the whole fucking point of gojira is joe's very unique pitched screams. Its also the MUCH harder thing to do. Joe can growl all day no problem, but said he really has to put in tons of effort to do the pitched screams on their older songs.
I have a video of you taking a video at the start of flying whales, apparently I was right behind you in the pit for that part. Thank you for recording this whole thing
Never heard either bands before, metal isn't my music genre. Friend convinced me to go since I've at least heard the names before. Was tripping on mushrooms the whole show and wow did it blow me out the water. Thanks for posting both shows.
I cant believe I saw these guys in a little basketball court gymnasium in logan square in chicago with about 25 other people. They immediately blew up right after that. It seemed like they went from that to selling out arenas over night. I know their long time photographer and he invited me on their tour bus to meet them after the show. They are real nice and humble guys. Im not the ask for autograph or a picture type. I just talked to them like anyone else for a little bit and then left cuz i didnt wanna overstay my welcome.real cool and talented dudes. Glad to see how far they've come.
I rolled tf out of my ankle during Grind in the pit smh. And the very first song when Lorna Shore went on I got punched in my face by some girl for bumping into her in the pit. Was amazing lmao
I have only listened till L'enfant sauvage album, beacause i didnt feel the same energy from the last 2 albums compared to the first 4, but after watching this, damn, they have the same power as the first albums when they perfom them live, i hope to see them live some day
I'll go to the Monsters tour this 19th. The fuckers split the court into "general audience" and "VIP audience"... I just hope we, the public, pull a RATM Battle of Santiago and tear that barrier down. That shit doesn't belong in rock concerts.

I was the opposite. Came for Gojira, now I can't stop listening to Mastodon. Lorna Shore was good too, got the crowd moving.
Listen to The Way of all Flesh. Gojira Rocks!🤘

I'm finally able to play that song on guitar. It's my favorite!! Very challenging song!!
This was my daughters first concert. The whole concert was phenomenal. 😊
Good parenting!
I hope you're being sincere@@DRSmith8808
You are a good parent
How old are they?) coz my son 12, I'm thinking to bring him . We will see Gojira and Korn in October

Very good first show. My first was white zombie and Pantera back in the 90's
I thank my son for introducing me to Gojira. Cannot get enough. This band is on fire.
Hell yeah! I love being born early enough to live at the same time that Gojira is touring!
The art of dying LIVE...holy shit
Man I wish they play this in Atlanta
Me to Broo 🥹
this was such an awesome show to see live!

Fukk'n Awesome Concert!!! Gojira and Mastodon Killed It!!! I was here🤟
The Whole Production Was Phenom!!! The way they should be.
Joe really improved his vocals, he really sounds great in Ocean Planet which is full of higher notes rather than growls
What? Growls would be better
@@deathmetal0073 half of gojiras discography has melodic screaming, growling on those songs sounds ass.

The chant siunds absolutely heavenly live! Wish i could see them live!
Bummed to have missed this show, these guys are a band I'll always plan to see when they come through. Love Joe's positivity.
The Chant sounds so heavenly with the crowd singing with it!

Thank you for this footage. Reliving this show until they are back in Colorado again 👌
24:07 who is this legend who screamed for 8 seconds straight like he was ready to run through a brick wall?
I’m glad he was directly in front of me as well that was perfect 🤣🤣
@@NateCConcerts bro had one shot and he took it like a champ. fair play to him 🤣
Was it you?
Nope!@@dbmagee21
I saw them on this tour, these guys blew me away!
Man these have come a long way. Love these guys.
Great video thanks for the upload! I am seeing them today in Costa Rica… So hyped!!!

@@matiasilic2107 I said that I attended the concert.
wow, really impressive lighting and effects...goes really well with the music!
Hearing the crowd sing Stranded was hype as hell but also kinda heartwarming.
I DIG YOUR VIBES MY BROTHER~DON'T FORGET TO ENJOY THE FUCKIN RIDE
Funnily enough, I went to this show for Lorna Shore. Never heard a single Gojira song. They blew me away. It was INSANE
One of the best live bands ever

Caught an elbow or something to the face in the pit during flying whales. Best time of my life.
Can you tell me what the order of the shows was? Who played first, Gojira or Mastodon???
Mastodon!

Acá en Argentina no dividieron el campo. Capas lo armó así la productora
Really hate I missed that tour bummer...
I like the Drum
00:32 “We have to find the whales ☝️🤓”
wish sound guys would put more guitars in the mix. always the drums in your face. which is cool. just squash whole mix
Is this a phone video?? this can't be a phone video...can it? soo nice
Hawk thua!
Damn I only seen them once at knotfest in 2018 or 19 I don't remember
Joe: next song is about building a rocket...
Also Joe: starts playing Silvera🤨
Another World apparently vanished in the black hole💥
yeah i was wondering about that too.
it says cut for copyright in the description :(
Wise there a thunderbird
Flying whale 🐋🐋🐋
Just get on w the drum solo
They really don't like their first two albums do they lol
Mario puts the set lists together so it’s probably his choice not to include them this tour.
those albums are for young men lol
What are you talking about?
@@somethingelse04 they haven't played any songs from their first two albums live in a very long time
