I find this live version to be better than the album cuts. Whoever captured the sound deserves an award, so beefy and heavy. Also the playing is as tight as Dickskin. Especially on Remembrance
the sound is so good they chose to put this performance on music streaming apps
That's why they had ,and I Hope steel have the 5th members, their own sound engering
interestingly, same goes for the flesh alive, the other live dvd they did. its just better then the album

The 2000's were different for sure, i'd give anything to go back in time and experience that show

ALL of terra inc is 100% death metal. Joe himself said early gojira was technical death metal. Mario said he was really into tech death drumming during the link.
If people say death's symbolic and sound of perseverance is death metal, early gojira is even more so. Its not even a question.

The breakdown in love is one of the heaviest things ever
It’s a miracle Joe’s vocal chords held up as long as they did. His technique was REALLY bad in terms of vocal health. There’s a reason no one else does vocals like this.
After learning about technique and doing it healthily, it physically hurts to listen to this era of Joe’s vocals 😂 Even though they sound incredible
Do you think that his technique in songs like gift of guilt, l'enfant sauvage is healty? I was quite impressed by the video of joe in studio singing gift of guilt, but I think his technique was still unhealthy.

Like if you’ve seen that acapella recording of him doing the blast beat end part of L’Enfaunt- Doing that regularly will blow your voice out. Sounds better than healthy screams though
@@DingDongDaddyFromDumas Yeah, it sounds absolutely incredible; and perfectly blends in with the atmosphere the song creates. He sounds so much more healthy nowadays, but I suppose it was a must rather than a choice. I guess he decided to sacrifice his vocal capacity to express his emotions in their songs.

The best live show ever of all time from any band? Mind eviscerated.
One of the greatest live sets of all time. Gojira was untouchable from Terra Incognita through The Way of All Flesh. Their music hasn't done much for me after that, but I will always have massive respect for them. It is absolutely insane how tight these guys are. One of the few bands where the live recordings genuinely sound as good or better than the studio tracks.
The pre gojira is amazing too..

The Link, From Mars To Sirius and The Way Of All Flesh are my absolute favorite of their releases, but they have made some real bangers here and there on the later albums. They're always incredible live. Have seen them 4-5 times, the last time being a festival gig earlier this year. They absolutely bring it live each time.
The only one that hasn’t clicked for me is their recent one. Other than that, there truly is no drop off for me. Just a change of direction

This is the Gojira I discovered. 2006 I was a sophomore, in high school. I damn near worshipped these guys.

Hello from New England Gojira is one of those bands that actually sound better live I've seen them 11 times between 2006-2024 and they have always had amazing sound systems and front of house soundmen And after the FMTS album they started incorporating more complex and trippy light shows and visuals On September 21 I'm seeing the mighty Gojira for the 12th time in Massachusetts with Korn headlining I'm also a huge Korn fan but I won't get started lol 😎✌️🧐🤘
I remember finding their first album and being like, wtf did I just find?! I knew they'd get huge one day. ❤️🔥🤘
