I like to do 5% front and 20 or 15 over factor tints in the rear so everything matches nice and even and it's not impossible to see out of when backing up at night
@@slayerarmy yea no worries, I like an even looking vehicle. Never really liked getting 5 over factory because then the front window feels much lighter and uneven
I had 15 over factory and could not see anything in my rearview mirror at night when driving in the neighborhood. On highway and busy streets, I could see lights from cars behinds. I just had my tint guy took 15 off from the back window to replace with 50.
I have a 2018 F-250 white. I am getting my windows tinted soon and I want to do the same as yours since the F-150s and 250s share the same cab design so I can tell it will look good on mine. Thanks for posting this video. I live in rural Nevada and the cops only mess with the import cars around here they pretty much leave us big trucks alone.
I had 15 all around and 30 on windshield before, it was easy to see out of no issue as long as its good tint. Good tint will be dark outside and clear inside, make sure you do your research before hand yall
Over factory or just 20 & 5? I got 5% all around NO windshield it’s pretty dark in the day , at night too but you can see my radio screen & dashboard lights at night , is that normal?
I got my lifted 2018 f150 tinted 5% all around but nothing on the windshield(on the fence about doing anything on the windshield), for those of you that live in northern states or in Canada during winter months, any issues in the winter with inside of windshield frosting with tint on it? If so, anything to do besides defrosting with heater?🤔Awesome videos by the way Blome Outdoors, I really dig your videos & setup of your truck, please keep up the awesome videos + content👌👍🍺🇨🇦🇺🇸
Front factor windows don’t have tint on them, rear factory windows typically have privacy glass, which is pretty much 20%. We don’t have inspection in Nebraska thankfully!! lol
I just want enough tint not to be seen by the old people at the Walmart I work. At first I thought I was paranoid. I’m clocked out of work ready to head home, I stop by my coworkers truck to talk to him before I head out. The whole time I got the feeling I’m being watched, old lady staring at us 100 feet away in the parking lot watching us talk. It’s like the movie “it follows” where the camera randomly pans to the creature watching the main character every day. Now I’m cool if I’m on the clock, by all means I get paid enough to be stared at but when I’m clocked out or on break these old people are the worst part of my day I want tint so i can just chill for one second
Hey man I got 5% all around NO windshield it’s pretty dark in the day. At night too but you can see my stereo screen & dashboard light from any angle , is that normal ?
Yeah you can see your screen and dashboard at night because there’s no other light from the outside to block the light coming through the tint. I realized this because I have super bright led lights to light my interior up and when they are on, you can see a lot of the interior. When they’re off however, you can only see the lights from the screen and dash.
I just got my limo tint on my car and to be honest.. in the day time it’s awesome, night time you can’t see sht!!!! Don’t get it if you are going to drive at night it honestly can be dangerous
Hey can you see your dashboard or radio/screen at night from outside? I got 5% all around & I can see the lights from screen & dashboard at night from outside the car , idk if it’s normal
@user-rq9ud6sl8l Yea you can see bright lights inside the car from the outside at night. I have 5% as well and you can see rhe stereo and my phone if it's on. Trick if you want someone to see inside like a cop turn the dome lights on
Never let me repeat never tint your whole windshield that's a ticket waiting to happen. The sides sometimes they let pass but if a cop see your windshield he is going to pull u over 100percent
Ok I get it. You can see through the 5% tint when there's lights outside. What happens when driving in rain; cloudy days? Pulling out from unlit alleys & side streets, there's no way to see bicyclists or pedestrian traffic from the sides. If you don't have a backup camera or floodlights in reverse, there's absolutely no way to see what's behind you when backing, other than other headlights. 5% is illegal even in AZ & with very good cause. I've seen cars pulled over & ticketed for that reason.
@@JoeGoldberg577_ 35% windshield is actually not bad, might have to upgrade ur headlight, but if u want to be safe go 50%. I think 15% front sides is perfect. I kinda regret going 5% on front sides
@@kenxuan5194 got the same setup on my sedan lol. Wish I did 50 on the windshield hard to see at night. Getting my f150 done tommorow think I’m gonna do 5% in the back 10-15% on the front sides and a 50 windshield
My mom's car has 5% tint and I can say he's definitely lying. I drove her car and had to roll the window down just to see the street I was turning on 😂 no wonder that shits illegal
Dangerous af. One day you gonna hit a jay walker, deer, something in the road, a car without his headlights on. I’d get a dashcam asap if I were you but it still gonna be your fault with dark ass tints
The only reason why i don’t want. 5 percent. Is because there’s some people that drive without their head lights
Not worried about the side windows just the rear window while backing up. Will just do dark on sides 15% on back
Did it look nice?
@@JB-ro7kq it’s a great choice
That's why u get a back up camera

The real problem with going that dark is when it rains AT night. Outside that, it’s great
