Lmfao these clowns, why in earth would they measure in Uv? You can have 100%light in ans have a decent film block 99% that proves this guy does not know what he's talking about. Glad some common sense is still there

@@staying_spooky I had 20 on my last car and loved it but got 15 on my current one and love it even more. 20% is a great middle ground. It's dark, but not too dark and doesn't hinder visibility. if you want something just a little darker on the outside and not much different than 20% visibility, go with 15%. Put it this way, 15% tint is 3/4 of 20%, so it's not that different.
Thinking of putting tint in my 2010 chevy tahoe front windows need it bad all the sun ☀ comes in plus very hot here in TX want them darker but don't want to get pulled over.
The percentage rating is the visible light getting through, not UV radiation, which isn’t visible. Most tints block >99% UV, which is responsible for skin damage and burning, not much actual heat. And the majority of the heat the sun puts out and heats the car up via is IR radiation, which is of course also not visible, and is blocked significantly more by ceramic tint than other products
If always said if u go anything under 20 ur already outside legal limit so might as well get what u want🤷♂️😂💯 5 all around and 35 on windshield u won’t regret💯💯
Def want tint in my front windows of my chevy tahoe the sun here in TX gets all in it hits it bad.. idk what i should get want them dark.. idk what you recommend!!
Same with my Charger, the 20% looks really dark from the outside. I think it has to do with dark interior colors, and smaller windows (less light coming in).
Cars are different compared to trucks and SUVs because their windows aren’t as big and straight as the larger vehicles. Cars have slanted windows and so it gives less visibility compared to SUVs and trucks.
What do you think looks better for a SUV? Tint it all around with 20% making the rear look darker or just tinting the front with 20% to match all the windows. Thank you so much for your time!
20 front sides and 5 all in the back. Depending on your state front windshield only 35 or 20. My state doesn't allow it so I keep it stock. No popo stopping poopoo today. I was at the local tinting business and it costed me $300. Worth it.
In my truck now I have 2.5% in the back and 5% in the front and the front is still super dark. I like the back being dark so no one can see tools or what not. But I think I’m probly gonna put 15% on the front cuz right now it’s pretty hard seeing at night. 😂
It seems like you can see the headlights pretty well through the 5% tint? I have the Hyundai sonata with the blind spot monitor that has the light that will indicate anyone in the blind spot and I have a back up camera, so do you think this will be okay with the 5% tint? I had 20% on my ford Taurus and didn’t have any problems at night but I still felt like people could see me through it. I just can’t decide on 15 or 5 percent on the front two windows. I do have a tint exemption form so I’m not really worried about legality but mainly just safety for myself and i dont want to hit any curbs with my car. I do plan on getting the ceramic tint which i have heard is easier to see out of than regular tint but i dont have any expirence with this. Any tips or suggestions?
i have a question , so i wanna get my front windows blacked out but ive read that eventually they can charge you with like a misdemeanor or something for getting too many tickets ? is that true ? and if you can get charged with something like that why do so many people have dark windows ? can you just keep paying the tickets off ? i live in Illinois btw
Yes it would be close, but not exactly perfect. If you want a perfect match then do 15 over 20 on the front as well so it matches perfectly. I think that the 5% would probably be a little bit darker than the stock with 15 over it.
But don’t put 5 % on the windows or you have trouble at night lol I’ve had 5% on all windows and 35 % on windshield and your not seeing through it at all I’ve literally had ppl look in my car while sitting in it
it's not the UV light that % is refering to.
it's VISIBLE light.
any decent window film rejects 99% of the UVs.

I have 5% but I feel it’s too dark at night, debating on 15% because 25 seems too light.
20 ftw
Did you do 15%?
Yeah the biggest issue is at night, below 20 it's so hard for me to see.
15% is perfect
I’m debating getting 15 percent on my new Ford Explorer. Would it be a good option???? Or should I go with 20

This is actually one of the best reviews for 15%, also for
Made this alot longer then it needs to be lol
25% is much darker doing the night 25% the four windows is a perfect tint

Very good explanation from the different tints, different angles and different light angles, thank you!
Would 15% on the driver and passenger window look like 5% from the outside if the front windshield was tinted at 30 or 35%?
I don’t know 15% on a car vs a truck is different, my charger has 15% and you can’t see through it
Same with my Charger, the 20% looks really dark from the outside. I think it has to do with dark interior colors, and smaller windows (less light coming in).
YEah and if its ceramic the tint lasts longer, otherwise tint can also fade/ change percentage. so hard to tell. 20% is perfect.

Maybe cuz ur truck is closer to the sun
The truck is closer to the sun
What is the stock for what minivans put in when you buy it. Mine is tinted but my friend wants hers same level of tint but I don’t know what mine is
Thanks for sharing. Great explanation
I do 90 on my windshield but my state is picky.

Um. 0% is the darkest. it’s based on visibility. unless it’s based on light absorption
Yep. % of light going through the glass. 100% is no tint, 100% of the light is coming through
I have 2% all around 50 full screen with 10 " band

I have 15% in IL and never got pulled over. Not sure on the severity of tickets.
Do yall strip them off when it comes to inspection time cause i want to make my front side two windows 20% but the darkest legal is 25%
Before you get the inspection. Roll the windows all the way down, and take out the fuse that powers the windows.
@@JoshSun035 Shi thanks cause I dropped it down to 15% lol

5% tinted windows, privacy privacy privacy

No such thing as 10 percent where I live darkest they have 15 and 5 percent
so how do you pass state inspection and how do you avoid cops pulling you over

Thank you for this !
thise front side windows aint no way those are 15%. looks more 20 or 25

Factory tint is 20%
Yeah, you're right. If you're anyone is thinking of stacking tint, the math is ex: .20 x .15 = .03 (3%).
LITERALLY!!!!!
I was gonna put 5 percent on the side windows at the back and 15 at the rear windows would that be fine?
Yes if u can see out of it or u don’t mind it at all
Great video
10% sides. %15 windshield
Hit them with the cop combo
Great explanation. Thanks
He's just saying the same shit ova and ova🤦🏾♀️all I hear is 15% & 5%🥴
You didn't hear him say literally maybe once or twice
2:57 it’s actually darker than 5.
15%? that looks more like 35%. the one you think is a 5% looks more like a 20%
35% on front windshield is legit
But don’t put 5 % on the windows or you have trouble at night lol I’ve had 5% on all windows and 35 % on windshield and your not seeing through it at all I’ve literally had ppl look in my car while sitting in it
That wind noise is terrible! Great video but you might want to do another one with a better mic or less wind.
A sound warning with the horrible LOUD wind and the very low talking would have been appreciated.
5%! Shorten the videos up this is way to long and running on with everything….
15% isn't legal up front
Who said i have 5% on every window but my windshield🤷🏽
No tint is technically “100%”, as it lets 100% of the light through… just sayin…
No it isn’t you stupid idiot stock glass blocks 10-20% light
