    So glad I decided to spend the money on this. This was my first time getting ceramic on any vehicle I've owned. Got 35% all around and 70% on the windshield. This video absolutely validates everything I was told prior to getting it done, as well as my experience since then. Can't wait to experience this benefit in the summer!

      The only thing I thought that was off with the video is on the standard tint test he pointed the heat lamp directly at the reader and on the ceramic he pointed it slightly off so the main beam wasn't directly on it. It's a flawed test, ceramic definitely makes a difference but this isn't accurate.

    When living in Arizona in 99 or 2000 I decided to retint the windows on the 94 Cilica GTSR.
    The Tint installer offered a brand new product. It was Nano ceramic tint. He said it was too new to know the longevity but it looked nice and there was a noticeable difference in temperature reduction.
    Oh yeah, it could be 115 out. You can go into a store come out 20 minutes later and instead of getting hit in the face with a blast furnace, you could feel cool air exit the vehicle.
    Okay that was then. I still have the car, and be fair it lives under a roof and doesn't see much mileage, but the tent has never scratched faded bubbled or peeled. Well worth the investment in the long run. 🤔 come to think of it I believe he installed labor and all for $120 all windows. My how times have changed !
    Mano ceramic all my vehicles have it including the house.
    Course I do my own installs now.
    What nice thing about dark tint I was cheating using me Hov Lane as we all rounded the corner there was a motorcycle cop no radar gun just looking for driver only cars in that lane. I reclined the seat with my eyes barely above the steering wheel. As I passed him he was staring so hard I thought for sure I would get pulled over. But he couldn't see in.
    LOL

    For me, the biggest selling point on this kind of tint is the UV protection- it's the UV that kills the interior of your car. Heat protection is still important too though. I remember my first car with ceramic tint and it was nutty how much of a difference that made vs regular tint in terms of heat blocking.

    Man, I wasn't sure if full ceramic was the way to go before I got them but I can't be in a car without them on a sunny day. Fiancee has normal factory tints and with my eczema I feel like my skin is on fire with the sun out compared to when I'm in my car it's sooo much cooler. I did all the research about percentages and stuff, but none of that means anything until you have sensitive skin and feel the lack of heat on your skin from the tints. What's also crazy is when I roll down the window and feel it on my face then roll it back up it's just night and day. Just to ease any of my placebo effects lol

The 80% front I wish I went darker because it blocks a lot of heat but it could be better. 40% isn’t enough for the front 2 windows either so I wish I went down to like 20% there. It’s still great as it blocks 60% heat (my tint guy told me don’t believe anything higher than 60-70%). It’s amazing.

    besides getting the best tint that you can afford, it's also extremely important to choose an experienced installer. I have a 1998 Mercedes AMG C43. Had tint installed on it in 2000. The guy took real good care and it was was totally worth it. He was more expensive than all the other quotes that I got, but after 22 years, the tint is still in absolutely perfect condition. (except for one corner in the rear window, caused by me when I tried to remove a cellular antenna from the glass)

    • @wj2791

      I also had a Crystalline tint on Porsche, Lexus and MB from 2008 and they still look alike brand new and working great. 80 on windshield and 30 -15-15. For the future, I will do 70 windshield and and 25 all the way around and 15 or 10 on moonroof. it is ceramic but little different and it costs little more. 3M Crystalline and 3M Ceramic have many similarities but differ in the specific technology used to develop these high-quality films.
      Another difference to consider is that 3M Crystalline is typically more expensive than ceramic. The best option really depends on your needs. All three options are great, but if we were to pick the best of the best, 3M Crystalline would be the winner. It provides the highest heat protection and tons of other qualities.

    I think that's why a 90's Volvo has a green/blue hue in the windows. Must use UV blocking tint in the layers of glass. COOL!

    • @TexasTintMasters

    Tint is great, video is great, the problem is that if the car itself isn’t insulated well then your car is still going to be hot as shit inside no matter the tint! the reason tint is good is for privacy if you can afford the extra for nano ceramic great but the majority of the planet cannot as it is expensive!

    • @TexasTintMasters
      @TexasTintMasters  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Wanna know a crazy fact?
      Nano Ceramic Tint is so effective at stopping the heat at the glass from entering through that it is not recommended to use the darkest percentage on sunroofs and back windows of Tesla’s.
      The extreme heat rejection can potentially cause a stress crack on the glass from the heat.
      It’s a rare case and definitely don’t want to scare anyone but it has happened a few times we’ve heard across the country.
      These are super rare scenarios.

    What would be the price for all the glasses in a Mustang, including the windshield???

    • @pacmanjones5625
      @pacmanjones5625 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      i live in northern KY, i just got my truck crew cab tinted all 4 windows and my rear windshield and front visor strip in ceramic tint 15% and it was $320. If I wanted all 5 windows in regular tint it was going to be $220 I also initially was looking at just doing regular tint on only my front two windows and a sun strip (since my rear two and back windshield has factory 20% on it already) and they quoted me $120 (add $50 if you want ceramic).
      So basically i got the best ceramic tint, on 5 truck crew cab sized windows AND a front windshield sun visor (not the full wiindshield) and I paid $320 all-in. So far, it's the best $320 i spent and really glad i spent the extra on ceramic vs. the regular for the heat reduction. Obviously prices by regions will vary, but i live in the midwest and that is a pretty common price range for around here from the initial research I did and the place I used is one of the best in the entire tri-state area also

    I have a 2002 PT cruiser with back tinted windows. It appears that it came from the manufacturer that way. On the outside, someone scratched the window and I need to repair it but I don't know if the tinting is on the inside of the glass or the outside. If I try to repair it on the outside, where the scratch is, I may be doing more harm to the tinting if it was indeed applied on the outside. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

    Do any new cars come with factory glass that blocks the IR significantly?
    I have a friend who claims his 2019 Honda factory glass keeps the car from heating up when parked in Florida. He said all modern cars have heat blocking glass, so I am curious what the meter shows on various new cars before tinting.
