For those who would like to try Halo Halo, it's pretty easy to make at home, but depending on your location, you may need to substitute some of the more typical ingredients if you don't have access to an Asian grocer with imports from the Philippines. There's a bunch of different recipes online. Personally, I prefer my Halo Halo with sweet corn (most make theirs with sweet red beans), saba, gelatine cubes, jackfruit, ube halaya, macapuno, ice cream and that little square of leche flan, of course. A lot of the mix-ins are very sweet, so if you want to tone it down a tad either add more shaved/crushed ice or use regular milk in place of evaporated milk. It's such a great summer treat, I always crave it on really hot days and I was so happy to see it being enjoyed by others.

@@NintenGamer I've been watching a lot of these videos and I have noticed that anyting from another country other than America he will sometimes take another bite or try a little bit more, but if it's from America he usually doesn't even want to try it or only a little tiny bite and says it's gross. He's an older gentleman so he may be ex-military so I'm just guessing he's seen some things and just really loves his country, which there's nothing wrong with. I just wish the whole world would get over their hatred for other countries and people and just become one nation under God..or Allah, or whatever your religion is. I think if we all stopped fighting and just became one nation it would take care of poverty and hunger and droughts and whatever other problems there are in the world. You imagine just being able to go anywhere you'd like in the entire world and get a job wherever or move anywhere. But because people that are in charge decide that we can't do that, then we just have to listen to what they say. I don't know how we let one person or government decide what our laws are. We vote someone in the office at makes those decisions for us, but why can't we just vote on that also and make our own decisions on what we want. I think I've gotten a little bit off the subject...😁. Sorry about that 🙂

The woman who said that the biko smells alcohol, I think, the one who cooked it put a banana essence to that biko. Banana essence smells like alcohol and has a strong smell.
Coconut oil is enough as an aromatic to biko.
