This looks so much better than the current PvP on live. There is still obvious skill involved in positioning.
Totally! There’s just also much to do in terms of balancing and general MM gameplay. But as CIG/Yogi said, they are at the beginning here.
@@cataangle 12 years later, is it still "ok" to say stuff like that ? What dev generation will finish it ? Their children ? Grand-children ? Guys seriously, the bigger it is, the more it's acceptable apparently for you. Insane. You can enjoy it now, advertise it maybe and forget all about previous years dev issues, but dont fan-react when they admit they're completely lost in this project. It takes too long to be serious and you know it. "We're at the beginning..." but then WTF did you do during ALL THIS time for something that is your main job, not a hobby ??! This is one of the first stuff they started working on and made it available for play, space fights. And we're still at the beginning lol. of what ?? Then what about all the rest ? Super beginning ?
Cannons actually look like they'll be viable in 3.23. Love the new sound they have as well
And to think they say theres no positional combat lol
poor saber and its pankcake body :(
i think the sabre is one of the best looking fighters.. unfortunately i currently don't like her tuning in MM 3.23. She's very slow (about 206 scm), i don't know. I hope the stealth stuff will be cool, but we will see.
@@cataangle if it gets to be a stealth ambush fighter like its supposed to be, then all ballistics will/might help it alot.
Might be, yes. I was also thinking about the following scenario: The sabre approaches unseen and at about 3-5km (depending on the ships ofc) it boosts to the target, attacks the target, fly's through and escapes again with a noise + stealth mechanics at 3-5km+. Similar to a buccaneer, but with the added bonus that it's not visible on radar (but on the other side slower in SCM speed).
@@cataangle 3-5km is still quite far with the new speeds, almost everyone will see you coming and prepare for a counter attack. 2-3km with it's slightly slower scm speed would help. And maybe to make it quite the risk taker, turning off shields puts your stealth between 500-1000m. What do you think? Also, when you get locked by a stealth ship within its steath range, you don't get a radar lock warning.
sounds good, maybe 2-3km is good. But it also depends on the ship, a LF will see you further. The sabre is already the slowest in MF category with 206 scm. I like the idea with not receiving a radar warning. Currently with nav mode you also have a increased signature, maybe this should also be greatly reduced in a stealth ship.
knife fights? more mid range
