  • Rick Falkvinge founded The Pirate Party in 2006, originally focusing on the issues of file sharing, copyright and patents. Not an easy mission: it took years of struggle and living off of donations from supporters, while the surrounding political movement kept growing. This is the fascinating, deeply personal and rare story of how to start a political movement.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxFlanders, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxFlanders event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

This was more of a TED talk of a guy who created a political party before censorship was a thing and he just bragged about stuff instead of sharing his insights.

I thought this was going to be a Tedtalk which focused on general topics, but this was too specific. I feel like if he had more time he could've said better stuff, but it still is decently good.

a lot of people despise politics especially on the Internet in general, so this is no surprise.
