Instagram - AdamTheWooATW As much as I love Pee Wee’s Big Adventure id like to see The Wizard start to be remembered a bit more when thinking of the Cabazon Dinosaurs . Classic fun 80s movie
I remember getting the chills when the dude announced the “new game” and they opened the curtain and showed the new Super Mario game, little kid chills.
Just watched the Wizard again a few months ago for the first time in years... Such a nostalgia trip -- Rife with 80's goodness and awkward weirdness...
The Wizard and Little Monsters were my favorite movies as a kid. Now my 7 year old daughter loves them. Gotta pass down my love for 80s movies! Also, it would be one of the highlights of my life to eat a meal under the dino watching the Wizard! 🦕🦕🦕🦖🦖🦖
I do believe that there was a yellow lunch box that said Jimmy Woods up in the neck of the brontosaurus before they sealed it off. Great video as always, Adam. The Wizard was my favorite movie as a kid, and I’ve always wanted to see the dinosaurs in person. One day...
Just went back and watched the Tears for Fears video! One of my favorite groups! I wasn't born until the late 80s, but I have always loved 80s culture!
I went back in time to rewatch all the your older videos of the diner and your peewee's big adventure video with Justin. Just goes to show us how time sure does fly on by. So much greatness. 🙌
The military stops by there quite often. It's on the way to 29 Palms so maybe it's a pit stop. The mountain in the background of the Burger King shot is where the Esperanza fire occurred in Oct. of 2006. Five firefighters were killed in that fire started by an arsonist. Always makes me sad to see the beautiful mountain because it reminds me of that. Thanks for always wearing a mask. If you can wear, a mask we all can.
Great job! I’ve yet to make it to this historic filming location. Sean Clark has done some great work w his videos. I think he reps some old school talent through conventions and events because they are featured in several videos of his. Very cool.
It’s really nice of you to take your friend on an adventure to see the dinosaurs 🦕 🦖 and at the end it almost looked like the dinosaur 🦖 was hitching a ride on the back of that truck
Cabazon is ALWAYS worth a stop! I wanted a mug or menu from the Wheel In soooo bad last time I was there but that side door was locked up again. At least we have the memories.
OMG that's the back of my Jeep in the Burger King drive through! I knew I almost ran you guys over yesterday! Was it yesterday? Damn, that Burger King is the closest fast food to my house so I probably go there 4 days a week. I remember the military guys. I was so excited to move near the Cabazon dinosaurs last year. My mom used to bring me there as a kid and I loved peewee. I remember waiting for SMB3 to come out and watching The Wizard. Some kid brought his power glove to school.
I see they painted Diny and changed the interior. Dinny was a seafoam green for many decades and the stairway and interior of the shop had busts of early man Ineaderthal, etc.). I have a picture of me standing next to old miner and his mule in front of The Wheel Inn. It was the best place to stop for breakfast.
Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure is my favorite movie of all time so I welcome this content, but I’m also glad you are putting a spotlight on the other film as well!
That Dinosaur was a savage like Fred..Loved him in wonder years and The wizard man I wanted a power glove so bad after that..Not to mention Pee-Wee's adventure was and still is one of my favorites! 😎 this was RAD..
Hi Adam awesome vlog at the Worlds biggest Dinosaurs! I remember the British pop duo Tears for Fears back in the 1980s great decade! stay well and safe!
Is Back to the Future your favorite movie? I ask because I also quote that movie! I love how you can line up shots from old movies with current locations.
I have a picture of myself sitting on top of that donkey as a kid. The dinosaurs were free back then. There was a little souvenir shop and, of course, the diner, but that’s it. It has changed quite a lot from the little quirky roadside stop into a full-out tourist trap, for sure.
used to go to the wheel inn a lot when i was a child back in the 60's. It was one of the most popular stop for the truckers to eat. Best homemade strawberry pie and incredible cheeseburgers. Stopped there not long before it was torn down. Not even close to what it once was. you keep those you mentioned. Mine are from the 60's
Noel Gallagher’s nether region on the Dino’s Foot!? Also That Tears for Fears facts blew me away because I never realized that was the same spot. Such a good song.
awwhhh this reminds me of the drive from AZ to CA. miss it, cant wait to make the drive once again. - - - - - I got a compliment on my word choice upon using the work "permeating". I am talking full-on MR WOO style!!
Thanks Adam for this road trip journey what a great spot to stop at that place never gets old and I must say thanks for another history lesson associated with the dinosaurs 🦖 and i really like the scenery around that area because I’m a big desert 🌵 nut also is I haven’t been there since I was a young buck so I really do appreciate you showing off that whole area and with that I’ll see you on the next vlog adventure also please be safe out there also keep bringing on the adventures
The tail on the TRex was a slide at one time, it has since been covered. I remember going down it a few times in the 80s. There wasn’t a museum at the time and the TRex was a hit or miss as to when it would be open. My cousin and I used to climb up the tail, which was dug out into a concave slide, and slide down. It was a cement slide without proper paint so you would barely even get any speed.
It's a fun rest stop area. In that area they used to have an A & W restaurant. They were known for their burgers, and also for their root-beer floats as well. Also check out Palm Springs as well, if you guy's are out heading that area? The Living Desert Zoo is fun to check out,and be sure to buy tickets online. Oh and check out Great Shakes. They have some yummy shakes. I got the Smore's shake last time, and also Walt Disney's house in Palm Springs. Have a fun time. :)
When we travel to AZ we always grab some Mcdonalds and cruz over and do just that eat under the Dino except I think there used to be another table. I remember two benches but I'm not for sure I will have to go back to an old video and check.
😎👋👍 Ehhh Eh Eh 👍👋😎 Hey Adam. I Never 🛑 Stopped there. Always in a Hurry To Get There. Thnx For The Tour!!! Ambience is a Great Word! Proper Ambience means we’re having a Nice 👍 Time! Unfortunately, The World 🌎 Is Chaos. Car 🚙 Alarm 🚨 Nitwits are Everywhere!!! Oh My God! It’s One Thing Or Another, Everywhere you go. Ehhh ehh eh. Car Alarm going off for 5 minutes the other night at 3:00 🕒 am??? Nitwits blowing off firecrackers 🧨 & M-80’s at 10:00 PM the other night??? Keep Up The Great Work Please!!! CJ
Adam, if your ever on the east coast you should stop and see Lucy the elephant in Margate NJ. The original road side attraction! Great video! PS. Theres not many you tubers I will let the ads play for, but you one of them. Its worth it to help keep keep going.
Ok heres the deal. I'm gonna come to So Cal......then I will be your sidekick as we travel round the States looking for movie scenes. I've always wanted to visit Devils Tower in Wyoming from Close Encounters of the Third Kind.....one of my all time favourite movies. Stay safe and much love.
While at the "Dino's," did you go to Hadley's for one of their GREAT date shakes? To me, a trip to the desert is NOT complete without stopping to get a Hadley's date shake. Sadly, however Hadley's old location was relocated to a newer "sanitized" bland building. That "frontage road" along the freeway was the precursor to the I-10 Freeway. It was US Highways 60, 70, and 99. That "other" building next to BK was a Denny's. I have NO clue why they desecrated the Dino's with those horrible boring, bland, and uninspiring "buildings."
I've lived in AZ all my life and go to CA quite often but have never stopped to see the dinosaurs. :( I'm going to CA next week for the DTD reopening and to spend some time at the beach, maybe I should stop this time. Make it a great day!
16:20. i'd put a sign on the inside of that fenced off area.. 'please do not leave (any more) dead bodies in this deep hole' .. then tourists would drop by just to photo that graphed location. thanks for another edition of.. nice and awesome
Wow ! Woo it's great to see you back on the road. I think for what ever reason these are my favorite type video's you create. I know its not easy to make a video when things are only half open with restrictions, but your doing a great job regardless.
Two of my favorite childhood movies and one of my favorite bands have ties to this place. Considered driving by there the other day on the way from San Diego to Las Vegas, but it was pretty far out of the way and I checked out Big Bear instead. Haha.
I used to go with my dad in his 18 wheeler all the time when I was a kid a begged him every time to go to the “pancake place” because I always got pancakes there. I remember the lights were all different colored balls over the tables. I also remember it was in the middle of the desert. There was nothing around and the dinosaurs were just in an open dusty lot. And yes, the tail of the t-Rex was a slide. I always wanted to go down it but it was always blocked off until they finally filled it in. Lot of childhood memories there while on the road with my dad.
Man I remember growing up driving by these things with my dad on the way to Lake Havasu or Parker. Stopped by several times an climbed through the dinosaur!
Thank you guys! That was a fun trip! Are you going on to Palm Springs? Our friends rode the tram to the mountaintop outside of Palm Springs on a hot summer day and found a snow storm at the top! Refreshing!
Another gem 💎 Adam! And military vehicles included! Katie & Spencer visited a few days ago and was pumped to see your more in depth video 👊🏻 I’d love to visit sometime 👍🏻

Having grown up in So Cal, this is the first place you have been to that I have not. I need to get out more. Thank you; for sharing.
I love the Wizard and was just thinking how much I want to watch it again. Perfect timing for this video!
@foxandnews bad women The kid who had the powerglove was the worst actor! I always remember him saying "I love my powerglove."
I remember getting the chills when the dude announced the “new game” and they opened the curtain and showed the new Super Mario game, little kid chills.
oh GOD NO! that was a terrible movie (The Wizard) Adam! sorry man, no WOO for you
The stars are aligning. Adam the woo back on the road. Gives me hope for America. Thank you for sharing your wonderful adventures.
Just watched the Wizard again a few months ago for the first time in years... Such a nostalgia trip -- Rife with 80's goodness and awkward weirdness...
Adam, I watched those two Dinosaurs being built back in the 1960s. Thanks for going inside Adam.
Very cool!
The Wizard and Little Monsters were my favorite movies as a kid. Now my 7 year old daughter loves them. Gotta pass down my love for 80s movies!

Whenever the title says "filming locations", I expect to hear Adam say "This very [blank]". Did not disappoint.
Nice to see Sean Clark again tagging along. Great video Adam. 😇👍
Always a fun time
@@TheDailyWoo Ha ha I agree. You guys always look like your having a good time with each other and that is always nice to see in your videos. 😇👍👍
That last shot looked like something from a 50's Sci-Fi movie with the military vehicles and the T-Rex coming up from behind.
It’s really nice of you to take your friend on an adventure to see the dinosaurs 🦕 🦖 and at the end it almost looked like the dinosaur 🦖 was hitching a ride on the back of that truck
What an absolutely beautiful area!
My brother Danny and I as kids were all about the Wizard! I love that movie! ❤️🔥
Cabazon is ALWAYS worth a stop! I wanted a mug or menu from the Wheel In soooo bad last time I was there but that side door was locked up again. At least we have the memories.
