Approx 12 000€. That engine by it self costs now like 8-9k 😅 But we bought that car with that r1 engine like 4000€ and it was overpriced but we had no choice back then
The engine is pretty expensive but atleast it is powerfull enough! And even the planning of the frame takes a lot of time and effort and after that you have to build it also... :D
@Technopanda 101 have a look at class 10 and class 7 British autograss cars. They literally run the same engines but two side by side, my old car had x2 1000cc XUp engines in it with a very modest 160bhp each and my car was just over 500kg with me in it and fuel. This car isn't a patch on cars I've seen women blasting around the track on. Go and have a look at the class 7's I used to race in autograss, deadlock wheels because they rip the tyres clean off and too much right foot on the line IN THE MUD and the cars will flip over. Doing wheelies sideways coming out of corners. I remember a guy one year had a heat attack on the start line, it's definitely not for snowflakes.
Coming out of those corners... If you shift up, that slightly lower torque will help your tires from breaking loose so much.. .and it can be a little faster........ Not being able to get your power to the ground is a good problem to have. :) (yes I know it's not the right tires.)
