I tried it on the rg35xxh h and the mame games weren't working. I got them working using retroarch on a modded stock os. Funny enough all these complaints about the stock os but I like it.
Yeah MAME can be tangly because if you have a different version of MAME then you have to get updated game files & host files of those games. I'm glad you got it working 👌 the stock OS is pretty good, that's why I also made a video on updating that too. Although Anbernic's port of TMNT Shredder's Revenge in their updates have been a bit sketchy 😆 what MAME games do you play? I made a top 10 of mine awhile ago and some hidden gems
Help ,Hey, I'm wondering what happened to MUos when I go to the games folder of a given console and press A, and it throws me to the console menu. That is strange. Maybe there was an issue with the update. I would backup all your files first somewhere safe, then try updating again. If anything goes wrong, you can just format your SD card to wipe it, then reflash muOS Baked Beans on the card. Then move all your files over. You can get the Baked Beans image file on their website to install. That would give you a complete fresh install and you won't lose your files
You can create 'replays' in RetroArch where you can record and watch your gameplay, but it's not a video file. It basically uses the game itself to recreate what you did. So for example, I just recorded myself playing Super Mario Bros. and I can watch it. But it creates a replay file on the SD card that works with the game itself, not a video file. You can turn on 'replay' options in the Quick Menu if you go into "User Interface/Quick Menu" or setup hot keys
IF THE UPDATE HAS A BLACK SCREEN AFTER "WAITING FOR INPUT" SWITCH TO THE DEFAULT THEME!! i was extremely confused because every time i tried to update i got a blank screen and i thought it was corrupted, turns out the details of the install didn't appear with my chosen theme active
