Boult is indeed a rising brand in the Indian E-commerce sector. But personally I prefer Boat and not for quality of products, but for after sale service they provide. Last year my Boult headphones suddenly stopped working, which was in warranty. I went to the service center with my headphones, where they stated that I need to submit the original box and accessories with headphones to avail the warranty. Who the hell keeps around a useless box for 10 months after purchase. I know this is a small issue, but it is a major point that differentiates Boat and Boult for me.

The sector of products that the guest belongs to does not have any innovation whatsoever. They aren't anything other than marketing companies, which isn't wrong but not something that leads to an insightful podcast. Please consider calling founders of Ather Energy, Log9 batteries, Pixxel, etc. These are some people that have actually innovated and came out with their product rather than just white labelling. Exactly, a lot of guests in this podcast have been marketing gimmicks of so and so worth of Rupees companies instead of actual innovative people and companies which have a very unique thought process and approach to things.

I would be mostly commenting on any of the videos of think school for the first time. But this is genuine feedback. Firstly it is not an easy task to build something this big, and kudos to the founder of Boult audio. Building a company with 700-750 CR of revenue is just great! But in reality all these brands how big are they have been, they are creating a scam in terms when they say they are selling smart watches, which is not smart. It is not possible to build and sell a smart watch in just 1-2 K. Other brands like Apple or Samsung they charge premium but at the same time give you the functionality. As there's a demand, but many people don't know what an actual smart watch does. Similarly in TWS space, just the claims are big but durability and quality of sound cannot expected in such dirt cheap price. The part in which he was explaining the thought behind every product was so forcefully establishing the connect. This is just an opinion and many might not agree. Why does he think marketing in social media is solely marketing cost of D2C. Nobody goes to offline store and buy a product they have never heard of. Also none of these "brands" Have ever done ANY innovation or R&D it's mostly a buy from China (cheap) and upsell. The customer service is almost nonexistent. If these products were "designed" by the brands they would be a bit more serviceable and not just waste which would damage the environment
I think this is why such case studies matter. Today, a lot of the successful companies are unfortunately those that do not actually manufacture or even design their own product mostly. But even though they buy from an existing generic product, they have the option to tune them, make custom changes inside and outside to make it different... How they do that, and what exactly makes their products different, is an interesting case study.
