Hearing triggers observation that would lead to insights. 3) Raj, the Host is speaking a lot but merely quoting observations but the Guest is speaking less but is telling insights and that comes out of experience 4) The microphone volume of Raj is one notch higher than the Guest. Perhaps the guest is not used to the set up, giving a benefit of doubt to the Host. But then the Host must know this and tune up the Guest's mic a notch higher. 5) Directing a discussion is good to control the spillover but arguing is disrespectful. I really believe that listening to someone explaining something in an interesting way using real life examples will always inherit in your brain rather than reading it. hence, I watch every podcast of yours within the hour of its release. just love your work. Keep the water on boil, add masala first and then add Maggie. It will take only 2 min. Thier time starts from the moment you add the noodles to the water and not the time you put pan on the stove.
😀👍 Wow, what an experience listening to this podcast!!! I have been a marketing professional for almost 45 yrs and I have learnt a few new things, refreshed a lot of things and enjoyed this video thoroughly!!! Dr. Sanjay very rightly said that what the "road" teaches you in marketing, no "MBA Course" can teach in classroom. I understand this deeply as I'm also a MBA (Marketing) from 1981 batch. And last, but not the least, I'm a Very "proud owner" of "TATA Nano" 2017 model!!!😇 Unfortunately, in our country, a car is more a "status symbol" and less a a utility or a convenience. Now, people are realizing the value of TATA Nano, but unfortunately it's out of production now.😢
A Ph.D person hits different. That's what Dr Sanjay Arora has proven today. Time and again he is talking of the outcomes of research articles. That's wonderful!!!!
I am a mba marketing guy, I have a lot of interest in knowing the marketing inside out and this episode has given me about 10, 12 topics to look for so this has became one of the favourites of mine please do make more episodes like this, bring the marketing legends and talk .. a flow of marketing ❤️👏🏻👏🏻

No doubt , excellent insights . Who listen these podcast while travelling??? I always listen Raj podcast during 2 H driving and its giving me new flavor of world😊
One major blunder that I remember from my childhood was when Maggi changed their classic yellow packet noodles masala flavour and marketed "New & Improved" - The flavour was so bad that almost instantly everyone started hating it, naturally their sales went down and they realised the blunder and corrected it by going back to the original flavour. There was a huge TV campaign that the old flavour was back and every packet had "Your favourite is back" written on them. This was way back in late 90s or early 2000s.
@1:12 💯 % bang on about the present education system in India! As an international 'educator' for over 3 decades i fully resonate with this opinion. 🎉❤❤❤
Dr Sanjay was great & I really liked what he said about our edu institutions. Today everything has changed, even in the work environment. We don't get to learn the basics (from an accountant pov) very easily. Unless one has the background like any relative/friend circle is in the same career. We really don't have an option to choose like today I.T., engineering, etc. but I saw a short video of German education system which was very different. Or to choose from other professions like sports, music, arts, politics, wildlife biologists, anthropologists, agronomists etc. I believe we should build in the area of sports & agriculture and bring a more value based education system. After this podcast I realised how bored I used to feel during my school & college days. Thanks Raj Shamani. Please invite such guest, Kishore Biyani, IAS officer Anil Swarup etc. who have more information & experience. 👍
I realized this 'addiction in junk food' roughly 26 years ago when McD entered Delhi. I was forced to think how can something taste so nice each time? Then came Pizza Hut and Dominoes...same pattern and same pattern of questions in my head too. Because our ages old food and dishes - rajma chawal or any other rice dish or roti n curries...we get bored of them and even chole bhature! So why not pizza and burgers? I concluded that junk food houses add some addictive salts that keep bringing the customers back and with more new customers (ones in womb, ones out of the womb) of all ages and backgrounds. Since years, internet reveals the food modelling done for pizzas and burgers and ice-creams and what not...Booom...here you listen more of the hidden shame.

Hey Raj - I searched and started watching this podcast for Sunjay sir, but I am leaving this at 18.28 minutes because, out of 18, I could only listen to Sanjay sir for hardly 2 to 3 minutes, and the rest 15 minutes is only your podcast with your self. I mean com'on who the hell has branded you as a podcaster when you are only vomiting out your giyaaan!! No one wants to know your penny opinions when you have made a great mind sit in front of you - apparently to listen to you only !!! There is a clear discomfort on the guest's face because you are way too much interrupting. Kudo to Sanjay sir's patience. I would have simply cut you off and left the room. Before making and branding, you really need to learn some conversation ethics, especially when you are running a so-called podcast on a social platform.

I agree with Mr. Sanjay we Indians dont want cheaper products. We always want value for money products. All those automobile companies who thought they can sell their old junk cars to us cheap are nowhere in the market. Similarly it is true as he said it is not chinese products which are bad. The retailers from here went to China, bought the kachra from there to sell us at cheap rates.

Same here, never liked it and was never enticed with it, but there are people who just get carried with marketing and fool themselves to believe Maggi is tasty when they too subconsciously may not like it.
Raj, you may not know but maggie came at a time when Indian kids did not have access to any kind of noodles. The fact that they put a cheap packet of noodles in our pantry was not only a cheap thrill for everybody but also very enjoyable. As kids, we learned cooking, by cooking Maggie first. There you have another emotional attachment to this product. If you look at Maggie‘s first few ads on TV, you will see a few kids sitting around the dining table, slurping those noodles away. They were probably enjoying this at a birthday party or just another family gathering. The fact that Indian kids could SLURP away noodles that were tasty and easily procured, gave us a thrill. There is your second USP. As parents today, the millennials do not mind their kids eating, Maggie, in fact, they all eat instant noodles as a family. In the 90s, this was seen as a bit of a rebellion and the millennials loved it! Hope this helps 😊
Guys pls stop posting raj interrupting, we should thank him for the home work he done for this episode and the information he puts on the table is inevitable. Keep up the good work raj ❤

Hello Raj from the US. I follow your podcast regularly and love the kind of content you present. However I have a feedback for you. I watch your podcast to listen to the guest. It is very important to listen more than sharing what you know. Hope you take that positively! 😊
This was perhaps your best ones. I didn't even realize how the time went by. Infact this felt so incomplete plz could you do it again with part 2 because clearly and i know most of them will agree much more exciting knowledge and stories are left to discuss.
I don't know who was interviewing whom.. BTW Mr. Arora you're a gem in marketing and branding also Raj- you have amazing insights of brand making history.. nice podcast😊
2-minute Maggi refers to the quick preparation process where the noodles cook within a few minutes, followed by the addition of masala to complete the dish. While it's marketed as being ready in 2 minutes, we need to understand the psychology behind the title, rather than taking it literally. There are no ingredients that can be fully cooked and ready to eat in just 5 minutes. It’s about convenience and perception rather than the exact timing.👍🏽
This was the best podcast and best topic. I am proud to hear from sir that you can't sell cheap things to Indian customer and that we are intelligent while buying anything. This podcast was value for spending time listening it. Thanks Raj for all the efforts.
-> Raj, just a suggestion in many podcasts you and the guests are talking about every other foreign brand except Indian brands, they do create the best marketing campaign with a very low budget be it in fashion(bonker, bluorg etc) or in electronics, or in any other category. -> Your podcast has mass reach, please use it to increase the brand visibility of our nation's homegrown brands. -> there should be an activity of you telling a situation of a brand x which is making a product y and has a budget between a&b then what should be the channels opened for the brand and how they can scale up with this budget with a decent reach of 50,000-1,00,000 (hypothetical). -> AI in marketing. Benefits, how is it changing the game, what r the best free and paid tools, what Advertising agencies are using these days to become more relevant and cost effective, what will be the future? A person who knows and is skilled in AI tools or still the art of creativity. An honest review, you can go more in depth this 1hr15mins seems like a convo btw 2 friends discussing marketing over a chai. The depth is missing.
Hi Raj-I have been listening to you for a while and love your content. This video it seems you are speaking more than the Guest. Wondering who is interviewing whom ???? Take care- God bless you.
Amazing PODCAST! People should learn marketing from this video rather than taking a course. @Raj Shamani love your picks as always. Would love to see something on SME growth- sales expansion- family run business bottleneck tackling ways.
Most of Raj's podcast is like he wants to talk more and since no one will call him for Podcast, he will call someone and speak more than the guest himself. It is more like he is talking and the guest is listening!
You are doing a great job. Pls bring more people related to stock market. It is a very important for India to be a developed country and Indians all of them hv some of their savings into stock market. Investment in gold does not help them much except a feeling of security and we hv import all gold costing India huge amount.
U always come with something new and interesting.. i really appreciate the kind of facts and knowledge u are spreading through your podcast.. Please make a video on Indian education system...
Dear raj, I really enjoy listening to your podcast, and I think you bring great insights to the table. I noticed, though, that sometimes during the conversations, your expressions might come across as if you're more knowledgeable than the guests. It could be helpful to stay mindful of that so the guests feel completely comfortable sharing their thoughts. Just a friendly suggestion to keep the vibe collaborative and welcoming

Hey Raj, I liked the topic and talk but some observations for you that you may consider (I am not sure you would even see it though).
1) You are passionate about the topic but for every topic you would be the same. However, the guest has dedicated his/her life to it and has many more things to share. Letting guest speak, shows humility of the host.
2) If you or anyone wants to learn, one needs to control the urge to speak. Hearing triggers observation that would lead to insights.
3) Raj, the Host is speaking a lot but merely quoting observations but the Guest is speaking less but is telling insights and that comes out of experience
4) The microphone volume of Raj is one notch higher than the Guest. Perhaps the guest is not used to the set up, giving a benefit of doubt to the Host. But then the Host must know this and tune up the Guest's mic a notch higher.
5) Directing a discussion is good to control the spillover but arguing is disrespectful.

An Allrounder podcast, nothing out of scope, pure talks for business, brands and Marketing
07:15 but ye maggi aaj tk mere ko convince nhi kr paya
Same here, never liked it and was never enticed with it, but there are people who just get carried with marketing and fool themselves to believe Maggi is tasty when they too subconsciously may not like it.
Worse than mix pakora..
Maggi is curse for Indian society
not about you its about the percentage maybe u come on the other side of don't liking it no brand can reach 100% customers
Mittha khata hai kya tu 😅
Yea Maggie is mid af. I rarely eat it once or twice a year.
As a marketing professional, really enjoyed this conversation. So much learning and so many points I identify with this conversation
Great topic!
Outstanding Podcast 👍🏼 Knowledgeable Podcast 💯
Let the guest speak
RAJ ... let the guest speak ...ur speaking the most in this podcast!!
We here to hear from the expert and not know your GK!!
Guest se zada information Host se mil gayi 😂
Make a video on digital marketing
Guys pls stop posting raj interrupting, we should thank him for the home work he done for this episode and the information he puts on the table is inevitable. Keep up the good work raj ❤
Too much interruption.... Raj aisa feel aa Raha hai ki tum apne brands ka knowledge show off ke rahe ho....
This guy is next level marketing genius, still remember I met him at nagpur in one of the conference I used to work for times back then and next 30 minutes listening to him was absolute dose of laughter, along with insightful ideas.
Thank you for the content!! All we need is the right advice on how to invest in crypto and we will be set for life, I made over thousands of dollars from trading this year regardless of the market conditions😊
How please?
Venturing into crypto as a newbie was very difficult due to lack of experience which resulted in loosing funds......... But Alicia Theodore, restored hope shes a good woman
Her name rings a bell; I've encountered it multiple times, usually associated with stories of her trading achievements. She deserves a lot of credit.
I Just withdrew my profits week ago, To be honest it was an amazing feeling when the profits hits my wallet I wish I could reinvest but, too much bills
Yeah, since meeting expert Alicia, I now agree that with an expert managing your portfolio, the rate of profit high, with less risk.
Good episode Raj. Also impressed with your own knowledge of marketing and advertising.
yaar mujhe koi job dedo 😢

Really helpful podcast
All brands play with our minds to sell their products, it's their strategy, they just can't be honest with consumers
It's all about marketing Bhai ❤️
🤔🤔 what is business , a good brand can't lie , if they do. So there value will decease
Hello Raj from the US. I follow your podcast regularly and love the kind of content you present. However I have a feedback for you. I watch your podcast to listen to the guest. It is very important to listen more than sharing what you know. Hope you take that positively! 😊
Best podcast for marketing
Best thing about ur podcast is that.. its so casual
This is one of the best video, Thanks Raj
Huge Respect for the guest.. someone with short temper would have walked about as Raj didn't let him speak
This episode is marketing masterclass... Learned so much about marketing from this one episode......
Excellent knowledge sharing 👌.. Thanks 👍
The podcast was lovely❤️ only thing is raj should let people speak . Hats off to Dr Sanjay's insights and listening skills 🎉
its looking RAJ you are having more knowledge its greatness of your guest.
I think Raj wanted to share all his knowledge and just needed a person to listen to him😊
Excellent coverage. Very useful knowledge sharing. I am delighted to know all about marketing in a capsule. My regards to both of you.
Very informative session!!
This episode was so insightful that it can we considered as better than 2 years of MBA Marketing …. Kudos to Raj for bringing so much value 👍
One of the greatest podcast for me I saw till now. thank you
Just say Wow very knowledgeable I take all notes thanks again
Hi Raj-I have been listening to you for a while and love your content.
This video it seems you are speaking more than the Guest.
Wondering who is interviewing whom ????
Take care- God bless you.
Amazing PODCAST! People should learn marketing from this video rather than taking a course.
@Raj Shamani love your picks as always. Would love to see something on SME growth- sales expansion- family run business bottleneck tackling ways.
Great one! Wish it was less interrupted and more of patient learning and observing
In order to understand someone it is very important to delve into someone's 🧬 genetics!
Most of Raj's podcast is like he wants to talk more and since no one will call him for Podcast, he will call someone and speak more than the guest himself. It is more like he is talking and the guest is listening!
Superbb informative podcast
You are doing a great job. Pls bring more people related to stock market. It is a very important for India to be a developed country and Indians all of them hv some of their savings into stock market. Investment in gold does not help them much except a feeling of security and we hv import all gold costing India huge amount.
One of the most educational and true nature of knowledge I have taken .❤
The real reason is why Maggie has surpassed other noodles 🍜 is because even a toddler can digest it with ease! Top Ramen is an adult delicacy!
You’ve got a lot of good knowledge about brands and marketing, please make a few solo videos of yours.. would like to hear more from you…
