why searching for an alternative universe ? 5 emperors of the holy roman empire were luxembourgish (House of Luxembourg) but they fucked up in the 15 century and disappeared
This is why the conference need to be reworked. It is so frustrating when you need an exact state for formable nation and an "allies" took it from you

Maybe a "reject peace deal" option were you goto war with your previous allies over the deal

The sad part is, in this case it should be as easy as 1 button where you de-legitimize the belgian/netherlandic governments in exile, but the dlc wont fix this in my prediction
An easy fix would be adding a claims and cores round that takes place before free spending.
Rosa Luxembourg is a reference to one of the leaders of the early communist organizations in the Weimar Republic. In early 1919, they tried to take over the government in the "Spartakusaufstand", which resulted in battles against the government, especially in Berlin.
Thats also why it is called the Weimar Republic, since because of the battles, the government first went to Weimar to create a constitution.

yeah, she was one of the leaders of the Spartacist League, an extreme socialist group who supported the German Communist Party (KPD), along side Karl Liebknecht
she died in the Spartakusaufstand mentioned (Spartacist Uprising)
She was also one of the few "big names" in international communist circles that actively just fucking *hated* Lenin, primarily because she ascribed to orthodox Marxism rather than the centralist Bolshevism Lenin espoused.

She did write a piece that critiqued Bolshevism, and certainly had harsh words for the group of professional revolutionists ca. 1904, but you are correct that her feelings towards Lenin we're far less harsh than I implied. I may have been misconstruing her with Goldman, another contemporary revolutionary (albeit an anarchist) who I am admittedly far more familiar with.

During the unveiling of this statue, in Marx's hometown Trier, a crowd of roughly 100 people appeared in the area. Some might say that these were people who came to watch the unveiling of the statue or to photograph the statue, but this is untrue, these people just manifested into existence at that moment - and now they are all members of the German army!

Casualties inflicted should also be a factor in war participation. Hopefully next dlc will fix that.
wait, iirc it does count towards your participation... but the value is too small for the amount of people you kill
Maybe also a system that counts the results of battles towards war participation, like a won battle counts for double the war participation or something

I dislike it how I make good moves, beating up the enemy force left and right. All the while seeing my buddy having high war participation because they got their armies stackwiped 3 times

@@Dan-wt7jx They're doing a "bidding" system where everyone is at once. The biggest thing though is generating war score from kills and make it worth more than dying. Seriously that's basically all you need to do. If you kill off most of their army and take their entire land by yourself suffering only 20k casualties but they go full stupid and get killed for 3 million men they get all of the war score. Really not okay.

Oh man i know this pain, made an attempt at the Crusader Kings 3 achievement (As Poland, have a monarch and control Jerusalem). I went Cossack King and single-handedly sunk the Royal Navy and conquered Great Britain and got ZERO say in the peace treaty. Run over.

@@spritemon98 Yeah makes me want to do unkind things to whoever coded it that way. At least they seem to be fixing it come the release of the Italian DLC and associated peace treaty rework update.
Equipment and people killed ratio to lost should be the biggest factor tbh. I mean there wasn't really a lot of negotiating with America given they lost basically no-one, had an army of 11 million and a big fucking bomb ready for industrial production. Yeah go ahead and fucking TRY to argue.

I remember something like this happening to me once. I played as Ireland with the goal of owning all of Britain. I flipped fascist, slowly built up my army and air force, and then when the UK was distracted in France, I joined the Axis, joined the war, and launched a crap ton of paratroopers into GB. It took a while and a lot of micro, but I eventually managed to capitulate GB entirely by myself. I occupied all the land, and I had inflicted a ton of casualties through encirclements and defending my ports from AI naval invasion spam. When the war was over, I literally could not even get Northern Ireland in the peace deal, which is a core state of Ireland. I solo-ed a major power and ended the war single-handedly, and for my efforts the game awarded me basically no war score. It took a while for the sting of that one to fade.
That's why you should use player led peace conferences.
I hope they fix this massive flaw with the peace deals in the next update. If you directly occupy that land AND have cores on it, it should be significantly cheaper for you to annex than for anybody else.

If you directly occupy land and have cores on it, it *is* much cheaper for you than anybody else. You get a massive cost multiplier on land occupied by a different faction than you, and a cost reduction on claims and cores(even cheaper). However, if you have 6 warscore per turn it doesn't matter how cheap the land is for you. The AI that was grinding casualties for 4 years before you joined the war will get the 1600 points it takes to take your land LONG before you get the 80 you need.

Mostly though it refers to a German communist called Rosa Luxemburg. She was a leader of the Spartacists along with Karl Liebknecht as well as an author of Communist philosophy. Hope that helps

When you think about it, the peace conference makes complete sense from a world power point of view. No big power would suddenly want Luxembourg to be that important.
Going all in on entrenchment is pretty funny. I did that for my monarchist Lithuania game and the Soviets really had a hard time.
