How many days it took for each nation to fall: Poland 27 days. Netherlands: 2 days. Belgium: 3 days. France: 6 days Denmark: 1-16 days? Norway: 2 and a half months UK: about 1 Year (from the time bitter declared on the UK) Soviet Union: 8-10 months. If anyone catches a mistake in this please tell me in replies!

I think that's how Rommel felt while he was invading France behind their lines and without supply from the rest of the German army.
I used to only use Motorised Infantry instead of normal Infantry when I started. It worked really well, and I'm not suprised that it worked well for you too. Still very entertaining to watch tho
If not for the logistics nightmare, because of all the separate tech and production it needs, motorized rocket arty is probably the most efficient way to blast through a country.

@@admontblanc it'd be really cool if you could convert motorized equipment to motorized rocket artillery. I always have a lot of motorized but producing rocket arty takes too long.

I showed a friend of mine the power of a motorised army last night. He was blown away at how effective it is to literally run circles around your enemy.
The best way to start is to do Rhineland. Use the PP for whichever advisor you want (Borman is the usual choice for more PP), but the gem is the 5 army XP. Create a new division with a single infantry. Convert the army except the 4 you want to send to Spain, to free up guns. Then spam a bunch of these, and deploy ASAP, allowing you to send 4 volunteers. Then change all of them to motorized (your biggest starting unit). Then you can do Anchlus on third focus, and if you did it right then Sudetan after that. Make the Slovak puppet, as it will give you compliance in Bohemia/Moravia. This plus standard economy build up will make your economy super strong.

Took you a while to realise you were gonna need a lot of trucks for the truck-only run.
My current meta is having a line of infantry divisions on the front line pushing slowly, and tons of motorised pushing very aggressively looking for a gap anywhere. Once there’s a gap you can encircle them all over the place and destroy them. Works against anyone really. I make the motorised 40-42W with their own flame tanks and motorised artillery (or rocket infantry if I get that far). I make sure to keep the speed at 12+
I tested this during one of my German Empire games against The Soviets, it was expencive but with all my air there were SO MANY OVERRUNS. I took around 7-15k causualties, it was the most satifying thing ever.

I tried playing with Germany using mainly tanks, and it was indeed quite enjoyable. Seems like trucks are better now, though, so I am excited :D

I had been talking about this recently! Armored Cars are actually really useful for a shocktroop template because they can bring firepower and armor to motorized whilst being able to keep up speed wise. Also! To anyone thinking about doing this never forget to research mechanized! It adds hardness to motorized troops!
Why armored cars and not light tanks?

@@anachronisticon in NSB dlc all tanks chassis have around 5 km only, when in vanilla game light tank 2 have 12 km\hour. Completely different system

Hi Bitt3r, I do something similar. I make a 10 width modern light tank division. and scatter a few of those into my army. With German perks, I can get the speed up to 20. (5 times faster than the infantry units) Other units punch the holes in the line and these units just race through and take everything behind the lines. The light tank focus is a lot cheaper on my industry too.

Maybe make a world conquest series as smaller countries, or any other country in episodes, for example make one episode 30 minutes and split it into like 5 or 6 episodes to wc, because you're one of rare HOI4 youtubers who have an enjoyable voice to listen to

The funny thing about Germany before the war was it didn't have that much of an actual mass manufacturing car industry. British, French and of course Americans were far ahead. And that.. had an impact in the long run.

Idk about the CAS. The point of trucks only is to win with trucks. Personally, I'd only allow air superioity fighters and anything from the motorized tree. AC and mech are allowed too, along with any arty and support I want. Might try that challenge later too.

Mechanized and Motorized Germany is a fun game, tough to manage but effective in combat.
Playing autoscooter and defeating the French within a week. This gives a whole new meaning to "Blitzkrieg".
I'd like to see an Air Influencer challenge, where you play as any secondary nation for Allies/Axis and influence the war favorably by only sending air power. Like Canada refusing to put boots on the ground in Europe so you can only send any Air you can. Same with an Axis secondary power, maybe Hungary? Its putting a lot of faith in AI ground forces, but it will show the power of controlling the skies.

I've have sorta done this before With Japan against the USSR and China all my Asian army was Trucks and Light tanks and Trucked to Moscow from the Pacific . But that was before the Supply Plane Nerf
@@roboparks I do it with germany usually, sometimes I try and convert it to mech, but that a LOT more production, it needs much more time and industry
This would be much more of a challenge if you also didn't use artillery or anything that requires more than trucks and infantry equipment. The way you did it, it's basically just supercharged normal infantry.
You should try out a speed meta at the UK, they start with an army maneuver genius and with mobile warfare they get +25% speed right off the bat. If you play in Road to 56 it can get even more broken

I like motorized way more than tanks. They're cheaper and faster than tanks but can still pretty much do the same job. The only real advantage tanks have is breakthrough. Motorized + artillery + support AT + CAS will still easily make units that are good enough to break the AI's lines. Then just fill the gaps with regular infantry to hold the line.

Challenge: Special Forces only offense. Other units can be used for defense and to build special forces limit but to take territory only marines, mountaineers, and paratroopers will do.
Haven't seen that one. Sounds like it would just be a slow slog microing a long series of small attacks tho.

As a challenge, I would suggest Germany motorised but as a democracy or monarchy.
Also a good challenge would be Austria-Hungary but start as Czechoslovakia and motorised.

Challenge idea : use only 1 infantry templates

So this is actually my favorite build. As the Soviets, build SO much infantry, and then focus like 90% of your production on Motorized and Mechanized. By 1942, you have enough trucks and Mechanized to create a motorized front line division, and also a mechanized rocket artillery pushing unit. The Germans fall in a year.
Now go the real Trucks ONLY by not allowing the manpower skips on your focusses and no airplanes. Maybe a focus on motorized AA can save you? Would love to see you try!

Just curious Bittersteel, what difference is there between Motorized Arty vs Rocket motorized arty? I've used ur 9/3 "shock troop" template before but sometimes switch it out with rocket trucks? Is there any tradeoff between the two?
Mostly that the rocket techs take longer to get their full benefit, and for most of that time...regular arty is just better, untill the final rocket techs
