I think the actual best way to go with this would be to use the Road to 56 Doctrine (Asymmetrical Warfare i think) It is specifically designed for smaller countries and gives u a lot of Benefits for Militia which costs a little bit less than Infantry. And it makes enemy air superiority worth much less.

One of my first games was as Nepal. I chose small countries to help learn the game. I took Tibet and Bhutan, and then set my eyes on India. I joined Japan in their Co-prosperity sphere, and took India. Pushed east and took all of Africa. Pushed up into the Iberian peninsula, but then I hit "scrapping the barrel" and could go no farther. It was a fighting retreat all the way back to asia when Japan was seized and the war ended.
I always enjoyed playing a small nation in vanilla overhaul/total overhaul mods from any sorts so seeing you play a pretty decent minor was a nice experience. I remember few months back that you wanted to try out Equestria at War, you have any nation inpracticular that you decided to play in a future?

Btw, since RT56 is included in this series, you gotta play Egypt and Palestine. It'll set this series apart from the others too. I haven't seen any TH-camrs play Palestine yet either.
Those aren't releasables, RT56 adds them as starting nations with their own trees. But that could work, except that we would see alot of generic focus tree playthroughs. RT56 adds a few focus trees to releasables like Scotland and Korea, but not all of them.
About mods conflicting with your name list, wouldn't it be possible to implant your name file into the files of any mod you use? Perhaps you have to replace some other name file and redo it when a mod gets updated but it would save you from the hassle of manually naming divisions.

I haven't done it in HOI yet but knowing paradox it probably is just a case of plopping your the name list into the mod files located in your workshop folder. The annoying thing will be to find out which folder actually belongs to your mod. May require a bit of googling/looking at files/asking in their discord if you have too much mods. Can't hurt to try though, if it doesn't work you can just delete the file. There is even a short article on name list modding in the hoi4 wiki.

My first game ever I played as Bhutan, skipped the tutorial and everything. Hoi4 was also my first paradox game. Nothing happened, couldn't figure out how to go to war and I'm sure I'd have lost instantly. But it did give me a chance to figure out the UI seeing that it's all I had to do that game.
If this were vanilla you'd be right But since he'd got core on Tibet, portrait worshipping wouldn't be that good Brown gives him an extra 5% from a core pop of 4M more, so it'd take 400 weeks for commie to match that. 8 ingame years

Seeing as you had so much waiting time, I'm surprised you didn't go with the silent workhorse for yourfirst pick to reap the PP in over the course of the game.
I love for like 1/4 of the video your manpower is literally an IV line drip fed that counts up with actual numbers, not even in 1000 range. If I want ironman run this country im definitely savescumming at like 1937 so I dont have to stare at screen waiting for PP to fill up
the most fun i've had playing hoi4 was uniting china as communist bhutan i played from 1936 to 1949 and had fun the entire time, sometimes it's just fun to play minors once in a while

I do think 56 changes something with the ai because I’ll be doing something like a Portuguese civil war and have more of Portugal than them but they’ll magically get 20 more divisions even though we both are scraping the barrel and are out of manpower
Idea: try to play Tunganistan, it will have an early war with the Xinjiang clique so you better prepare for the defense (spoiler: soviets will come with volunteers)

I find myself the opposite. I go concentrated most of the time and have a hard time going dispersed. I just throw in AA and rarely have issues.

If you play rd 56 again in one of your videos you can use garissons instead of your infantry batalion cause its more cheaper in terms of guns.

I do love the RT56 mod, sure the game goes wack and non-historical games are pure chaos but it helped me get past boredom of the base game.
When a game ends in the "middle" of world war 2 I'd love to see in observer mode how things would pan out.

Did you know that Jaegers and Desert troops don't count as Special Forces? So you could have replaced your regular troops with Jaeger.
