      I know this is an old comment but for those wondering
      1 Create a new track by pressing T have instrument as the track type or any type of midi instrument such as
      Presence you could also drag and drop your midi instrument int the track section to create a new track
      2 Select the track
      3 Press Ctrl+Shift+P or in the upper left corner select event and from the drop down menu select insert pattern
      4 If the pattern window doesn't show up double click the new box in the time line and the pattern window will show
      5 Also at 0:23 you will see a + and - symbol above bars to see your velocity, repeat, and probability select the mountain looking symbol to the left of the plus sign and also above bars
      you can open or close this anytime.
      Hope this helps

    If you are like me that want presonus to add 'convert to midi to pattern mode' hit like

    • @SonicGland
      @SonicGland 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you right click the midi part, in the "Instrument Parts" submenu you will find an option "Convert Part to Pattern". I'm using version 4.6.1, maybe the option isn't available on some previous versions though.

    THe problem with this video is that the presenter not only expect you to know what an 808 or a 909 is he uses that language to describe everything he's teaching because he assumes that everyone not only knows what that means but then he goes on to teach it like you already know these other virtual instruments that apparently lots of people know all about. However if, like me, you've only used live drummers and don't know about machines -- then what he's teaching first requires me to go find and learn how to use an 808 or 909 to understand him. Too bad these young guys only teach other young people who already know how to use other very specific virtual instruments.

    Hey, quick question -- how did you rename the Pan clip-automation tab to "Closed Hi-Hat Pan"? When I add modulation to any Impact-XT pad's Pan parameter, it shows up as "Pan++". Which is annoying because if I do more than one pad like this, they all have the same name, and it's hard to know which corresponds to which. You seem to have renamed yours somehow, so it's clear which pad / sound it applies to. Thanks!

    Do you get paid extra to keep dropping the buzz words 'cool' and 'powerful' all the time in all of your Studio One videos? The hard sell and overhyping I see in all of your Studio One videos borders on embarrassing.

    Ok. Silly question. I just purchased the studio one bundle. Comes with the interface, mic, headphones etc. also it’s got the S1 software and a bunch of V-instruments etc. is this feature available in the version that comes with it? Or is this a higher end, “pro version”? Thanks.

    I just wish you can draw in the rolls instead of using repeat and control your patterns better. We should be able to variate a 1/8 note with a 1/16 note this will make this stop notch.

    I have a slightly different question, and I will be glad if there are people who can answer me objectively. My question is this. After adding different sounds to Pattern Mode, is it possible then to separate (split) the sounds individually on a different track so that they are increased and reduced directly from the mixer?

    • @audio_odyssey
      @audio_odyssey 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, if you expand the impact Xt channel in the mixer for the pattern, you will be able to break it out into at least 8 channels. If I remember correctly, it’s 8 stereo or 16 mono channels.

    • @35milesoflead

    Can you export midi from the pattern sequencer? I am finding I do not have the option to export to midi.

    • @inkwarp
      @inkwarp 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      i suppose you could always convert the pattern to a normal midi clip and then export it.. i haven't seen a way to export midi from the pattern . it doesn't mean it's not there...

    • @sunnyzaman
      @sunnyzaman 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I try to export I have two file options. One is a music loop. And I cannot remember the second as I am not in front of my computer. But there was no midi. As a work around I had to use the step sequencer in Sonar and export which is less than ideal.
