It's a very interesting take on mopping, but one thing I learned years ago is you never buy the first generation of a new design -- this deviates a lot from the industry norm design wise in many ways, so there's likely to be a lot of unforeseen issues that need to be ironed out.
How good is it at mopping right up to edges? The x10 pro omni does a wobble and reach with the mop to clean right up to base boards. How good is this one?
Its strange how eufy will launch another vacum along with the X10 pro omni. That S1 pro looks premium i think i will go for the X10 pro as its €600 here in Europe if you pre-order.
Great question! I got this info from eufy: 10N pressure, Station Water Tank: 3L covering a clean area of 450m2. In advertising: A 150m2 house can use it 4 times a week. Dirty water tank: 2.7L
Haven't seen a whole lot that would make me want to try a new robot, but the mopping system on this one does look better an most of the current crop that drag a vibrating pad or have counter-rotating pads.
Interesting and enjoyable video as usual. How long does the mop work before it has to return to the base to clean itself out? The onboard tanks seem small, so I wasn't sure how many square feet is mopped before it needs to be refilled. Thanks Steve.
Great question, i reached out to eufy and here's their response. 1. The frequency of mopping cloth washing can be set according to the specific home environment, with a default of washing once every 45 square meters. 2. The onboard tank of the robot can mop an area of 30-70 square meters, with different water consumption levels for different settings.
At the point where it mopped over the dried coffee several times, did you have to program it to do it several times or did it use the sensors to know that area was not clean. Does the item clean to the sides of the room? The eufy x10 does a twist while going to make sure no spots are missed does this do something similar?
Hi, I see you have a cat. Sometimes, cats will end up not using the cat-liter. Can the mop identify cat's poo on the floor or it will try to clean it? Thank you in advance for any response.
Since it comes in so many different shapes and sizes, it can't guarantee 100% recognition and avoidance. According to eufy's lab test data, it claims to avoid 95% of feces.
How long can it mop...before the clean water tank on the robot is empty & dirty water tank on the robot is full & it needs to go back to the base to change waters & resume cleaning? 20 minutes? 30 minutes? How much time exactly?
The lack of a corner reach feature and the fact the sidebrushes hit the ice cream and are now smearing it all over is the reason why i'm not getting it
Is there any chance you're getting your hands on the eufy x10 ultra omni. Like many others, I'd love to see it compared to the s1 pro with your thorough test method.
Yea the side brushes swiping through the milk on the floor is a great design…. That’s what you want for sure is milk on your side brushes. The Dreame X40 can lift its side brushes to avoid those type of things…just an fyi
Does it have this have a cleaning tray that collects water and needs to be emptied every time like the x10 Omni has? It’s a terrible design and makes a mess getting the tray out full of dirty water from mop heads.
this robot looks pretty newt but I see to issues. 1-with this robot design. the vacuum entrance could be much bigger. same size as the mop to be honest. making it a lot more efficient on vacuuming. 2-if the robot is always washing the mop, what is a great idea, it means it is going to need a much bigger water tank then the one we see in the base. overall I think they are in the right track.
They're coming this year from many of the leading manufacturers; including built-in cabinet compatible designs; so I suspect that feature will trickle down in a generation or two to Eufy.
I Was reading that This robot has no onboard water container. It will keep coming back to the station to wet its mopping pad and back to where it's mopping. Can you please confirm if this robot has onboard water?
It has a built-in clean water tank and dirty water tank. When it returns to the base to dampen the mop, it also refills the clean water tank and then goes back to the area that needs mopping.

This is unfortunately pretty common for Eufy. They flood the space with paid TH-cam ads that have talking points during their initial marketing push for preorders. The thorough reviewers with standardized tests (e.g. Vacuum Wars, etc.) end up having to wait and purchase for their reviews. To me, it shows a lack of confidence in their own product.
