    He's not kidding about GB150 running car without a battery. My son's little 2001 Honda CRV had an alternator issue. As I was following him to the shop to replace his alternator, the battery died at an intersection. I hooked up my GB150 got it started. My plan was to get it out of the intersection only. I decided and told my son to just keep heading to the shop with booster attached and on. We only had about 2 miles to go. I figured we'll get as far as we could. We actually made it to shop by using the GB150 as the car battery. I was already a believer of the NOCO boosters, this just reinforced my impression 100%! I would highly recommend any of NOCO boosters. I have 4. Two GB40's and two GB150's.

      Why 4 gb40s and 2 gb150s? What can the 40s do that the 150s can't?

      @@SquareBodyK5 GB150's ar for my V8 and my 6.7 diesel. It would be overkill and not cost effective for my two 4 cylinders vehicles.

      @@762-m9b I have to respectfully disagree. Aside from price when it comes to having a capable jumpstarter that one can rely on in nearly every situation there's no such thing (IMO) as Overkill.

    Man I think the gb40 Is seriously underrated. I can jumpstart many v8s up to 10 times before needing a recharge.

    I think the Gooloo 4000 is the best bang for buck (and power to size ratio). Project Farm (youtube channel) did a great review on it (among so many others) and it was a workhorse starting a diesel tractor no problems with a completely dead battery numerous times.

    The 12 v in/ out is very nice it should have came with a cord and also a adapter to go from that cord to a car cigarette lighter style charger which you can then get the bluepoint power saver adapter to use that straight with the noco as a battery memory saver!! Thats the use for the 12 v out or at least one of them, the 12v in is for fast charge i dont know if there is a adapter to use the cord for fast charge from wall outlet but it comes with everything you need to fast charge it in your car with the cord, i think that is everything they do for the most part at least

    I have the GB 50. I saw my neighbor struggling yesterday to jumpstart his sons car . I went out to him and ask him if he needed help so I went in and grabbed my gb50. Within a minute he was able to start his sons car. He told me he is going to get one a.s.a.p

    We waited 4 months to get a GB500 for our business, it lasted 8 months then had to sent it in for repair. NOCO told us today it would be another several months to replace. Very poor customer service, we are now looking at other brands.

    So for everyday use between family cars, which one would be more reliable? The 3000 or the 4000? Does it get affected by the hot summer heat of TX if it stays inside the car all the time? Btw the Boost Pro you have in the description is not available!

    • @FlyingWrenches13
      @FlyingWrenches13  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly I would say either one would work fine for everyday use. I wouldn’t think you would have a problem with the heat of just being in the car. As long as its not sitting directly in the sun you should be fine. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I didn’t even notice it. I’m going to update it now.

      Okay so I did some checking and for some reason the link I posted was available when I posted but it isn’t anymore. Apparently amazon isn’t offering it right now. Not sure what is going on. Sorry about that. I’m gonna try to find somewhere else trustworthy that is selling them to update the link.

    I'm looking to get the gbx150. I've a '05 Ford Van e350 superduty 6.0 diesel. I believe either h.p.o.p(high pressure oil pump) or f.i.c.m.(fuel injector fuel module) is drawing my new batteries 2ea. I've dead batteries. If your familar with these vans, the batteries are along passenger frame, passenger sliding door, underneath the step in, in the frame. I'd like to install a battery disconnect switch. My question is, Do you recommend or know the type disconnect switch i need? Maybe installed under the hood.

    What is the difference between the noco boost pro gb150 and the genius boost pro gb150?

    • @FlyingWrenches13
      @FlyingWrenches13  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. The difference in the 2 I believe is that the boost pro 150 has 3000 cranking amps as opposed to the genius which has 4000. The one I have in the video is actually a genius pro. These jump box models can get really confusing because there are so many models. Hope this helped you.
