It's almost 20 years ago though. A lot must have changed and I suppose things get a lot more expensive post pandemic, besides the usual annual inflation.

I miss vietnam, its not even about the prices, the people were so friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier 😢 One of the best countries i have ever been.
They're a mixed bunch like any other country. They (locals) don't trust each other in the city, which proves it. Prefer rural culture, but still plenty of issues a tourist wouldn't usually find out about (I was in a relationship with a viet girl for 4 years) ..stuff like hating people from a certain region within Vietnam etc. I've seen and heard enough believe me.
