Dear Chippo, I am a 70 year old Coventry Kid who has travelled a bit with work - Baghdad, Hong Kong & France and all over Britain. I have to say I enjoyed this Karachi on £1 more than ANY travel related programme I have seen on TV for years. Your enthusiasm and obvious love of your heritage was heart warming and funny, as well as being peppered with real interest and warmth. Just wonderful! I was astounded at the overwhelming kindness of the people. They’ve got so little yet give you so much. Very humbling. Bravo young man, I’m subscribing! By the way, in spite of my age I was able to keep up with what you you were saying!

As a Pakistani myself, this is the first time I've seen one of my favorite UK TH-camrs showing some love to the motherland. Harry (W2S) often mentioned Pakistan in some sidemen videos but none of the boys actually put us on the map until now. Murree is amazing, but if you are talking about real beauty, then going more towards the North would be the sweet spot, places like Hunza, Khunjrab Pass, Naran, Gilgit, Skardu etc

People can say what they want about the place in regards to it's poverty, but you won't see as much compassion, and good will elsewhere in the world where people have more. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful, didn't even ask you to pay - how generous.

Interesting. The decorative tile beneath that “old man shaver” as you put it at 7:48, is a Dutch tile from the 50’s - 70’s that tells how children look at their fathers through the years (from age 5 through 50). With age 5 saying something along the lines of “My daddy can do anything!”, age 15 stating: “My dad doesn’t know a darn thing about that.”, and ending with age 50 reminiscing: “You could ask father about anything.”
Quite sweet, really. How it ended up in Pakistan is beyond me.
