That place is such an eccentric high art work. Would be interesting to exactly what the story is on it since it's a really nice place. Marble clad ceilings and everything is highly unusual. It's obviously owned, technically occupied, and has power on probably with auto billing to the owner who has so much money and stuff where they forget about it out being busy with other stuff like work, partying, and traveling.

The address is: 28012 Sea Lane Drive, Malibu, Ca 90265, built in 1979 =) I think the home went abandoned due to a divorce. The owner is a woman named Cynthia who is currently 63, and owns a lot of property in LA county and (what I believe to be) is an heir to the Getty fortune (oil/entertainment industry).
The home transferred to her in 1999. I think she may have been related to the original owners (or something of that nature) because the property assessment/tax information stayed the same once she acquired title. Even though the market value may be 9 Million, the HOUSE is currently assessed at $13,714 and the LAND is assessed at $12,472 a total assessment of $26,186, which was the market value in 1979 - (a ballpark figure of what the original owners paid).
This low assessment also means that instead of her paying 10K-20K a year in property taxes... she pays exactly $829.76 per year (quite the discount).
They may have so much money they just dont know what to do with it. Hey Cynthia, if ya want someone to take over the $829.76 payments annually hmu girl!!!!!!!! =)

Kempton’s Haunted Hospital, Johannesburg, south Africa
The story of the abandoned Kempton Park Hospital is quite the mystery. The hospital closed down suddenly in the late 1990’s and has never been reopened. Visitors say that it appears is as if everyone literally stood up from what they were doing and walked out, never to return. There are jars of kidneys on the floor, blood spattered sheets on hospital beds, open files and x-rays strewn across tables. Of course, it is alleged that the hospital is haunted and visitors are purported to have heard babies crying, doors opening and shutting and to have seen the figure of a man roaming the halls. Some visitors who tried to take photos inside found afterwards that the photos were obscured by a strange white ‘sheen’.

This house was one of the many homes of the Getty's. Idk if you've ever heard of the Getty scandal, but at the time, they were the richest family in the U.S. Apparently, one of the grandkids were kidnapped and held randsom by Italian gangsters. The owner said he had 14 other grand kids so chose not to pay them until an ear and lock of hair was sent to this house. Very crazy story behind this house. I wouldn't wanna live in it lol

Josh, the way you executed the filming and editing for this video is phenomenal. Usually when most people think of some kind of abandoned building they think of it being very creepy and scary, but this mansion is different, especially with the way you filmed and edited this and with the music, this place is quite enchanting

I did some research on this mansion and the reason why the power is on because the contractor is in charge of maintenance. And it was built by a rich weirdo back in the 70s after he passed away his buddy bought the mansion and he went broke because of bills and expensive mortgage.
All these abandoned places, who owns them? I'd love to fix one up and make it pretty again

Lynn〈3 Sometimes a bank will technically own a house/mansion like this. Many cities/towns/states have a Registry of Deeds, the deed to the house, and if you go to them they can tell you the bank that owns it. They can give you the contact info to the bank and that's how you can try to buy an abandoned house like this. I'm no expert, I just asked my mother out of curiosity, she's not really an expert either but she did work in real estate. At least I hope it's an answer that kind of makes sense!

pretty sure the owners of this mansion went bankrupted while they where remodeling it. then it became foreclosed. because it was being remodeled no one wanted to pay for the house on top of finishing the remodel. therefor it was abandoned.
