The mid size TV is from the 1990s. These folks just never remodeled. Pretty unique that there hasn't been anyone that has vandalized or stolen items. There are several valuable items in there
The woodgrain cabinet TV in the front room is definitely 1970s. The TV at 20:16 was a combo entertainment unit sold no earlier than the 1990s. TV at 19:48 is from the 1960s. TV at 15:37 is from the 1980s. TV at 10:47 looked to be from the 1960s. Thought I saw one TV that was from after 1998. Definitely boomers that were probably hoarders and what's left is what the family didn't want.
I once helped my dad and his girlfriend clear out her uncles house who was a bit of a recluse. It was like a time capsule from the 70s, quite similar to this.
The basement looks like the man was either a serious packrat (hoarder) or maybe a collector of car things, typewriters, adding machines, washing machines, etc. Possibly a repair man for resale. 🤔 The whole house 🏠 looks like the one I grew up in. I'm 63 now and this brings back so many nice memories. Time capsule for sure. Thanks for sharing. 🪻🦋
Probably somewhere in rural Georgia judging by the Georgia license plates in the cupboard and the thick trees and foliage around the large deck falling apart outside. Also the confederate paraphernalia and NASCAR cut out denotes stereotypical Southern roots. Hence why it says address undisclosed. No need to disclose it. Prob not many people around that area so it stays untouched.
That's what i said, definitely 70s. Reminds me though, i saw this old burger king commercial from the late 70s on here once, and all the kids thought it was "so 90s"... I mean, don't they watch movies or anything? I grew up in the 80s and 90s myself, but i can still identify generations before me, like the difference between the 1920s and 30s, 50s and 60s. It's just kinda weird to me, must be a reason for the confusion.

First, Hi Big Banxs! Definitely a Chevy collector and Nascar fan. Half that stuff needs to be saved and put in collections. Guys pay $$$ to have original items in their man caves. I agree with others, save the vehicles. Call VGG and have Derek save the Caddy! This house has all the original 1973 features, except the GFIC outlet. That was added later. I wonder why the county hasn't stepped in to save this property. Txs for the vid. You guys are brave to open up that fridge.
From another post by someone who lived next door he still owns it and pays a fine to the city to leave it in this condition, so it technically isn't abandoned, it's still claimed property. It sounds like he was a perv that had issues with the neighbors (not sure if perv related or all the vehicles I guess he had) so he moved but kept the house and let it go the hell as a big FU to the neighborhood.
he could have been but not necessarily. when i was a kid a local bank was upgrading their computers and i got like 14 386 computers. My guess is that those are from a highschool given the stations identifiers on the side during the transition to computers. He prob was just the lucky one that got em
I don't know, I'm a gonna hafta disagree. If he were a repairman then the typewriters would all be different models, but those are all identical. I can't offer any really good theories about them, though. I like the one poster who suggested that they might have been from a school that replaced them with computers but my reservation about that theory is that they look too expensive and too professional for any kind of grade school or high school. They might have come from a community college or technical school, or from a business that closed down.

I'm a carpenter for a city housing authority. I work in vacant units. Sometimes tenants leave their fridge behind. My best advice is to never open up an old fridge
People leaving leftover foods cause it to go bad and turn poisonous. There was once an abandoned super market that was left to rot and ended up having to be deep cleaned by a hazard team. It's why you should always wear a mask when going into old homes. You never know what's in old food, furniture and dust. Hope this answers your question.
Seeing stuff frozen in time just kind of gives me the creeps. Completely forgotten. The pictures are moments snapped in time that only the person taking the picture knows about.. cool find dude.
The "ladders" are decorative trim that goes on top of kitchen cabinets. It is called galley rail. He possibly worked in a cabinet shop or was planning on reworking his cabinets.
Considering they were in the bedroom and there was only 2 (not enough to redo a kitchen) and there's clear signs a woman also lived there - remember back in the 1980s and 1990s, popular in Southern states at craft fairs were the ladders that you got Santa, Elves, dogs, and whatever you wanted that would hang on the ladders for whatever holiday or occassion. My mom had a couple of them herself, and I remember seeing them everywhere even places like Silver Dollar City back in the 1980s. Google "vintage Christmas ladder"; Santa Ladders have been a thing for decades.
i love this. not only of the thought of ppl in it first built but also at the time of abandonment. like what happened. drinks in the fridge still, unopened liquor bottles. wild.
Guy must have sold or repaired type writers. A lot of car parts that are worth money. Sadly some developer will come in and demo the house with its contents.
I live in Georgia, this house looks like so many houses i've been in, down to the 1980 Bulldogs coke bottle. Every old guy here has one of those. The CSA memorabilia and flags, the wood grain everything, the landscape outside, the old cars, so many of the mundane things inside are just like half of the houses i've been in when I was a kid, not so much anymore. I have a buddy that does have a house that looks almost just like that though lol. I know this guy has a dark past and all of that, so it does kinda give all the mundane/normal Georgia man aesthetic an uneasy feeling. I'd take that TV all day, back when TVs were also furniture. I have a huge record player/radio like that, it was my first piece of furniture.
This house abandoned between 2004-2006 I guess..u can check in fridge item, microwave model..one ticket had day/month on it Suggesting 2006 ..so my bet on 2006-2007
Im honestly surprised this place hasn't been looted, everythings exactly where it was decades ago and there's probably some stuff in there thats worth a good grip of money. An exceptional find.
I remember all this of stuff. Back in days where people actually to go outside and didn't have the Enternet, where you needed to be able to read maps and remember phone numbers. We had 6 TV channels 2, 5, and 11 then 17, 36, 46 lol. We didn't even have TV remotes. Those were fun days. Life was slower. I really do miss them.
Car in the backyard is a '64 Cadillac, '41 Chevy in the driveway, the one in the garage is a '53 Olds Holiday. The buggy in the basement is a home-built special. Early (pre '68) VW front axle, and most likely GM pattern 5 lug rear axles.
Have to say nice find. Appliances date 70's. Stay safe, and I'm 12:42 glad to see you have others with you. And thanks for showing things without doing 360's with the camera.😂
I bought two properties in 1988 when I was 16 years old. There was a deep freezer in the garage. The place had been vacant for 20 years. Me and a friend opened the deep freeze and a horrid vapor escaped...we freaking passed out alone in there for 3 hours that's how sickening it was. When we finally came to choking and puking we saw the freezer was full of decayed huge fish. Probably carp.🤢 Anyway we closed it and got outside as quickly as we could. Hazmat had to come and dispose of the freezer. We were sick with sore throats for about two weeks. Inside the trailer was SO much worse. There was a dead pet monkey hanging from a thorn tree in the backyard. Apparently it got its collar stuck in the torns and they had no way to save it. The torns were about 2 inches long and needle sharp. I had the tree cut down and burned it.
I'm not going to name drop where this place is, but the main reason nobody went scavenging there despite the rare stuffs was because what he did all took place in the house.
Ok. I actually thing he’s just using a lot of hyperboles. He said, “you’ll see a lot of typewriters in here.” And there’s only one. Btw that’s at like 2:30
From Georgia and grew up around houses like that. Nice Firetruck, and had to laugh when I saw that CSA poster of Boregard 😅 knew someone who used to have one
He was probably arrested out of that house, jailed, tried and eventually convicted. He probably had to serve a long prison term. When he got out he probably could not go back to the house because of his neighbors who are related to those he molested. If he is still living and on the sex offender registry he can not live near schools and he certainly can't live anywhere near those he molested. One other thing I noticed was the pet dish on the floor. He either had a small dog or a cat. I wonder how the poor animal fared after the guy was arrested.

That rusty wallace sign is calling my name...
We have the same response when coming across these old homes. I too absolutely am fascinated by these historical times capsules! Great video!
Omg.. im back to my childhood in the 80s!! We had the same stove same fridge, all olive green, down to the same curtains in the living room.
My guess is that the owner was a typewriter repairman. The little ladders look like plant trellises.
I agree! Definitely a repairman! Looks like He repaired washers and dryers as well.
he could have been but not necessarily. when i was a kid a local bank was upgrading their computers and i got like 14 386 computers.
Those ladders in the bedroom could be for cats to climb up/play on. I saw a pet food bowl on the kitchen floor so it's a possibility?

I'm a carpenter for a city housing authority. I work in vacant units.
Sometimes tenants leave their fridge behind.
My best advice is to never open up an old fridge
Why?
People leaving leftover foods cause it to go bad and turn poisonous.
There was once an abandoned super market that was left to rot and ended up having to be deep cleaned by a hazard team. It's why you should always wear a mask when going into old homes. You never know what's in old food, furniture and dust. Hope this answers your question.
Honestly shouldn't even have to ask why

I know exactly what that house smells like. And you NEVER open the fridge!
