    I am a busy mama of two children , I have an inflammatory disease which affects my bones & bowels.
    Since becoming vegan , I have virtually no pain,considerably reduced my medication & am sleeping like a baby!
    And I’m losing the weight I have gained from being quite immobile, due to a lot of pain.
    Thank you so much Tia for giving me the inspiration to believe that I can do this 🙏❤️
    Please keep those maximum weight loss videos coming.😍

    I can definitely relate a lot to your current situation. I have been on my "last 10lbs" for about 1 year and I keep falling off the wagon. You are inspiring me to redesign my meals once again so I can get to 117lbs. I am 5' tall and fluctuate between 124-122lbs. I am so freaking close!!!! LOL. I have never been below 122lbs (that I can remember).

    I actually really needed that “go easy on yourself” at the end. It was so easy to lose the first 20 lbs with this way of eating, but now that I’m trying to get rid of those last 10-15lbs which will put me in the mid-range of a healthy BMI for my height/age, I’m struggling.

    • @HealthyVeganMama
      @HealthyVeganMama  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can do it - :)

    • @i.e.presents638
      @i.e.presents638 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just please know that BMI has been absolutely obliterated as any sort of indicator of health...The latest evidence based research points clearly at waist to height ratio. Aiming at the right target is really helpful.

    • @SuperUsername147
      @SuperUsername147 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@i.e.presents638 interesting. Never heard of it before but I like the concept of it. I do think it would be most accurate when used in tandem with BMI while recognizing the flaws in both systems (some people naturally gain weight in hips and thighs and very little in their waist). Honestly one of the biggest reasons I point to BMI is because it’s tangible for most people and when I tell people I want to lose 15lbs more they get really skeptical. I like to use BMI as an example that no, 115lbs would not be underweight for me. People see me as what they think is small (especially compared to where I was) and think that weight loss would be unhealthy, but I could be a lot smaller and still be healthy. Genetically I store fat in my abdomen, and while I don’t think I have an unhealthy amount of belly fat right now I really just want a flatter stomach so I feel more confident. I use BMI as an excuse for other people for the number I chose, not necessarily as a reason for myself.

    I recently tweaked my plate also. I’ve been stuck in a plateau for over a month. I am very active and workout 6-7 days a week. The bulk of my plate is the same but I added in more non-starchy veggies . The scale is starting to move now. I think we have to remember in weight loss is that our bodies can adapt and we have to make a cut if we want to be in a new caloric deficit. As we lose weight, so does our daily caloric needs.

    Hi! I would love to see a video on how to cook and prep when you live alone. I live alone and if I try to have a wide variety of foods I usually end up with a lot of fresh veggies gone bad. I really hate to waste food, and I try to plan my meal prep and only buy the amount of veggies I know I will cook. But every so often I'll buy a red cabbage that I'll enjoy for a few meals and when I have 75% left it's gone bad. I really want to have more fresh veggies, but for the time being I only buy very small packages of a few things and stick with frozen stuff the rest of the time. Do you have any advice?

    That's interesting. When I make oatmeal, I usually follow the instructions (1/2 cup oats, 1 cup water), and it seems like it makes a huge serving. Your video said you used 3/4 cup oats, 1 1/2 cup of water, and it looked like less than what I cook up. That's weird. Must be the opposite of what they say "how you look like on tv" Remember, they'd say, "oh, when you're on tv, you look 10 lbs heavier - but with oatmeal it must be the reverse. HA HA. Anyhow - DID you eat all those potato fries??? Inquiring minds want to know. You're such a cheerful little gal - you're a joy to watch.

    I’m exactly where you are in this weight loss game- BMI 23. I’d love to lose a bit more but am finding that I either under-eat (even though I stuff myself on a 50:50 plate) and can’t get to sleep with hunger pains, or feel satisfied but can’t shift any weight. What to do???

      Hi there. I’ve been at a healthy BMI for about 7 months and haven’t been trying to lose. But right now I want to lose 10 more and that’s it. Have you tried just eating until satisfied and upping your activity?

    Love your videos. You have been so so helpful. Great meal suggestions. I have made a few of your meal. The cheese is so good I recommend it to everyone who is interested. I have made it 3 times, but this last time I made a double batch and it expanded in the fridge after 3 days. Almost blew up on me. Any suggestions why and what i can do different. I am thinking it was the nutritional yeast.

    Thank you for sharing your goal and meals. I wanted to eat more potatoes... thought I liked potatoes... but instead I batch prepped a humongous rainbow salad for lunches at work this week and I thought I would toss in a few baby potatoes... but somehow black beans sounds better with some great salsa over the top. I am now 60 years, oh my. I am 25 pounds down since mid December eating WFPB. My goal is a total of around 55 pounds. I did try to eat more potatoes and lots of nonstarchy veggies last week, plus apples daily, but I had super cravings for chocolate. I gained a pound and a half so clearly I overate. I'm trying rainbow salads this week with a starch to see how that turns out. I'm not in a big hurry but I would like to have a modest .5 to 1 pound loss each week. I'm still tweaking the food. Thanks for the video.
    Linda

      You’re doing great. Don’t be so hard on yourself, that extra 1.5 is probably just a fluctuation. Sounds like you’re doing excellent. Way to go

      I am just trying to focus on eating well, so sometimes it's a little frustrating when I'm still eating WFPB. But I know the weight loss will come eventually. It was easier to lose weight when I was younger! The plateau and ups and downs motivated me to do cardio and strength training workouts so that's a great byproduct. I'm in a class with a personal trainer along with other women my age and older. So I feel right at home... and it's in my work place-- a neighborhood recreation center.
