    Love the "keep it simple" theme you have chosen to live by. When I first started eating plant based a year ago drove myself mental trying to come up with lots of wild and wonderful recipes to make mealtimes exciting and exotic for the family. Couldn't keep up the pace! Now meals simpler and so much more stress free, it's the only way to go. Happy meal times, happy family. Thanks for all your great videos Tia, you have been an inspiration.

    I don't know why people get so bent out of shape if their spouse or kids don't like their food. We all have different tastes. I wouldn't expect them to like everything I make. When my kids were young, I wouldn't force them to eat something they absolutely hated. It was no big deal. Doing what you do shows your children you are kind and care about them. If I had a group of people over, I would consider their needs. I wouldn't say tough, you better eat what I make. Good for you!

    I enjoy your videos and you look great. I usually make a batch of brown rice and rice a big cauliflower, this way and half way to a meal. 20 years ago when the kids were small I used to buy firm tofu, cut it in large sticks, oven 10 minutes, turn then over and repeat.. we used to call them special fries.

    So glad to have found your channel, Tia. This February is my third WFBP anniversary and I've lost 41 pounds and kept it off. Now it's just a way of life. I love your simple recipes; great combinations. At first my family didn't go plant based with me, but as they saw the change in me and how yummy the food was they've come on board. When my sweet husband saw my blood work after a year, he was convinced, and he's a cyclist! I love the food "alternative" list. We're going to do that on our kitchen chalkboard tonight! Thanks again and stay warm! ❤️🌱

    More great recipes! I never remember to use edamame, I am going to add this next time for sure.👍 One thing I love to add to a noodle bowl similar to yours is peanut butter powder. Stir up your rice vinegar, soy sauce, a little date or maple syrup with the PB powder and water in a bowl, and add at the end. I bet that would be big hit with kids!!
    It will be interesting to see what the weather is like next week when you post...

    When you said add tofu or edamame to the pasta salad I was thinking chickpeas! But that's my go to protein so maybe it's just me.

    I made the pasta, spinach, tomato salad with your HVM dressing but I cooked some green peas and added them as well. Served it all cold and it was very good. ( I always add pepper to almost any pasta dish and it was so very good. Thanks for sharing. Your recipes/ideas are so helpful!

    I cook for my mom who I care for and sometimes I want to have something she won’t eat, and I have to always think what I have that she’ll eat. I love your idea of the list!! Makes it so easy, you don’t have to think at a time when you’re trying to get another meal together. Great idea even for someone like me who’s kids are grown and not it’s my mom I’m cooking for too.

    The pasta salad continues to be my favorite ! I use bow tie pasta, baby spinach, fresh basil , and tomatoes. Such a great combination with the vegan mama dressing. Thanks Tia 😊

    Thank you for ideas for kids. Could you also make a video for what to do with a carnivore husbond? He is not eating vegan at all... and not a ton of veggies like me. So I always make two different dinners every day. Could it be done in a better way? What do/did you do with your non vegan hubby?

      Thank you. Yes we did okay. Lost heat fir 2 nights, but we found a space heater and piled together and were fine. So many others weren’t as lucky as us.

    I think it's really great that you make something else for your kids if they don't like the meal. I do too. So many people say they just let their kids go hungry or eat what's made. I'm not going to do that. Children are people now. If I'm craving something sweet I go in my kitchen and get a snack. The idea that children should only eat at the right time and eat only perfect healthy foods that we choose without ever taking into consideration their taste buds are cravings just doesn't make any sense to me. I hope you didn't go without power to long. I'm in Texas too. It was a nightmare.

      Not weird at all haha. It’s called Alpaca and it’s a warmer grey color, but depending on how much natural light you have in your room, it can seem lighter in color.
