They figured out a way to make 4 characters work in PiT, 3 characters in Paper Jam; Wario and Waluigi being part of the adventure would be neat. I actually recall seeing a M&L fan-made flash game that also featured gameplay as Wario and Waluigi, and it looked really promising! Unfortunately it was a demo featuring just a few locations with enemies and two bosses and I'm not sure if its development was ever continued.
I have a better theory as to why these cameos were cut: alphadream likely showed these to nintendo and nintendo thought that either since most of the characters didn't have their own dialogue and only the bean guy spoke, OR since this was the first game and nintendo possibly realized some people could accidentally misunderstand/misinterpret the cameos as just means of selling more copies of the game, ESPECIALLY since superstar saga is already fantastic enough, and since Wario would be chilling at diamond city at this point, they thought that it would be best to make E. Gadd the star of all these scenes, just all the cameo items would still be there, albeit with a part of their names changed (apart from the excite spring).

This is a really underrated video considering the effort that was made into making this, so for sure I'd appreciate it if you made the remaining missing animations for the other deleted scenes. Certainly gonna try to spread the word around in Mario-related threads.

Imagine a Mario & Luigi game with Wario as the third player. It could be called something like “Mario and Luigi; Triple Trouble!” It would be CRAZY good!
There was a really cool fan concept game called Mario and Luigi: Partners in Crime. Which would've utilized Wario and Waluigi along with the original mario brothers similarly to how you would control the Mario brothers as well as the baby brothers in partners in time. The Wario brothers would've had access to darker and utility based moves such as stealing items, money, and stat boosts while the Mario brothers would focus more on classic damage and defense. It would've been awesome to see with the dynamic of the cast. Maybe the brothers can get separated and you can pay as Mario and Wario together while Luigi and Waluigi would be somewhere else.
I swear, Nintendo for whatever reason never wants to include either Wario or Waluigi in Mario games that aren't party multiplayer games. It's like some sort of hierarchy thing that prevents them from referencing other franchises that aren't super successful.
I wish there was something similar to the Mario rpg series, but it had Wario and Waluigi trying to get fame and fortune and Waluigi could actually fight in a game. Or maybe where they and Mario and Luigi try to rescue friends and entice Wario and Waluigi to help because of promised treasures of wherever they are going

This is awesome! Superstar Saga is a great game already, but seeing interactions like this would be the cherry on top! This also makes me want a new Mario and Luigi game with Wario or even Waluigi involved. Even if AlphaDream went out of business, a man can dream!
I know it says this is NOT a ROM hack, but if I feel like once the others are done, it will be. But one labeled as having some stuff restored. Wario, Fox McCloud, Samus Aran, Olimar, Excitebike, and Link. I learned this thing from DidYouKnowGaming? at least 10 years ago. With the UV Lamp from Olimar, the Gold from Wario, an Energy Tank from Samus, part of the Triforce from Link, A Gold Ring from Fox, the Excite Spring from Excitebike, and of course having E. Gadd with the Game Boy Horror.
Seeing that this was cut and replaced with egadd, makes the rewards you get make a lot more sense all of a sudden. Wario gives you the greed wallet, Samus the spring, link the triforce, I forget the others but yeah. They suddenly make a lot of sense

Getting rich , raiding dungeons for treasures , Level up to insert dominance and flexing on mario because simping for a princess isnt the true way. We need that Chad-rpg right now. Well the sprites are carried over from Wario Land 4, same as the music. But most are restored from the ROM.
