    Pure awesomeness man. I'm thinking of getting a similar rack aswell for my 2 monitors

      It may not look like it, but these hold up very well. Just so long as you’re not constantly moving it around, I think you’ll be fine.

    Honestly channels like these are why I enjoy the retro community (specifically on TH-cam) so much. I'm always discovering something new and can continue the process of dreaming. Appreciate the message at the end, sir!

      Oh wow thanks! Means a lot to hear this. I don’t create content for the views, likes, or subs, but I do it to give back to the gaming community.

      @@Ex_Savior you're so welcome! And you're right, I finally may have tracked down a FW900 through my personal network. Can I ask you some questions on what to look out for? I sent you a message on Twitter :)

    Thanks for sharing I'm just learning about retro gaming and this videos helps a lot. In my country is a little difficult to find PVMs or even a quality CRT with component but I won't surrender. Greetings!

    • @Ex_Savior
      @Ex_Savior  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No problem! Although PVMs and BVMs are nice, you can still get great quality content from a consumer grade CRT. We all play video games, and whatever works best for you should be good enough!

    The king of the nerds. Good bang for the buck as well I'd say! Thanks for mentioning the furniture and wire shelving. I was just about to buy some 48 x 18 but I went for the 48 x 24 instead after seeing this. Better reviews and seem more study and can handle more stuff.

    • @Ex_Savior
      @Ex_Savior  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Very glad I was able to help out with the wire shelving. The wire shelving unit I have has been very reliable, even with the wheels on the bottom. Apparently, each shelf can handle up to 500 lbs. I have noticed that the shelf I have my D24 and 20L5 have concaved slightly, but nothing I would be concerned about. And yes, the 48 x 24 dimension will fit a D24 perfectly.

    @Phatnightmares D-VHS, like W-VHS before it, it's very susceptible to changes in alignment to the read heads, moister, and RF interference. It is all due to how the data is recorded to the tape in more tightly backed magnetic lines. D-VHS is more robust than W-VHS, but not by much. The PSX maybe, due to the power supply in it being poorly shielded, messing with the reading of the tape, or the weight of it and the Turbographic ontop may be bowing the D-VHS player enough to be throwing the read head out of alignment with the tape spindles. As a former owner of D-VHS equipment, my advice is to put it on a shelf that is not near RF loud or magnetically electronics.

    • @Ex_Savior
      @Ex_Savior  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah this makes sense now. When I had the D-VHS player by itself, the TBC was working fine. It unfortunate that this happened, but so far most of my tapes still play fine. It was very tempting to stack things on top of it due to its flat surface, but going forward I’ll have to reconsider.

    I had my xbox on top of my pvm aswell and it messed with the geometry and caused slight discoloration.

    • @Ex_Savior
      @Ex_Savior  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I’ll keep a note of this for sure. I held my PSX on top of it for a while and it seemed to be ok. But you’re right, it’s best not to take chances.
