I’m 34 and had this done today about 3 hours ago. Mine was caused by blunt trauma to the eye. The actual procedure was extremely straight forward. Only mild discomfort was the drops stings slightly and the anaesthetic going in again slight discomfort as you’d expect but beyond that you don’t feel a thing and you have no sensation to blink and it’s actually quite relaxing because all you can see is flashing lights and squiggly things lol it was 15mins at most. Now it’s a little sore and achy but not too bad. Few paracetamol and all good. I’ve already checked my vision and I’m now back to 20/20 🎉
I'm 39 and I've been told I have cataracts in both eyes due to operations when younger, I am extremely apprehensive about the surgery but your comment has helped. Thanks
@@kirstycooper6131 honestly I was the same as you. When it was over I was shocked how straight forward it was. It’s been 11 days and other then having to have drops everyday it’s been fine 🙌
I am 70 and will have my first one done late October, then soon afterward the other. Because of such a gentleman as this giving his testimony, I am not nervous and looking forward to seeing distant vistas without glasses. Am myopic so this will be a God send for me. Worn glasses all my life so to see without them and only need them for reading will be marvelous!
My mothers on a waiting list for the first consultation its now 4 months going on five maybe she'll get the first consultation by month six seems I think its gonna take a year and a half to do both eyes post code healthcare things may have gotten worse since the gov got involved.
