    Even without all of the real intricate effort you've made with the lighting, the whole place looks fantastic and really does make me think of similar older buildings situated here in our little downtown area. With the lights everything just immediately gets heightened ten-fold from what it already was!

    A water tower! Now that definitely adds to the small town feel! I’m from a small town myself and never even thought of that for a lego town layout. It’s all looking great! Can’t wait to see what’s next!

    • @BevinsBricks
      @BevinsBricks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much. Yeah I'm trying to add as many things as I can possibly think of that people typically overlook. Still trying to figure out how to round the tower off a bit more.

      @@BevinsBricks I wonder if it might be achieved by using part # 892 (alt #’s 30259 and 39728) in white and clipped to a bunch of 3mm flex tube that’s been formed into a sphere. I saw a curved roof done by Ralf Langer with these parts and it looked pretty cool. I’ve never seen a sphere done though so not sure if it’s possible. Might be worth some experimentation.

    it’s all the little details that make it worth following! I would love to see something on the telephone pole wires, like a bird or squirrel maybe. It might be cool to add a construction site, or a building under construction to bring the build to life a bit more. I would also love to see an old timey cinema with all the bright lights if that’s possible. I loved this update and can’t wait for the next one!

    I am honestly loving the detail in the city and the vintage gas station is an awesome idea and can't wait to see what you come up with. As far as the alley between the sheriff's station and the hotel it would be awesome if you could line up the fire brigades back door with the alley as some fire stations that are on major streets often have thier trucks pull around backand enter from behind.

    • @BevinsBricks
      @BevinsBricks  ปีที่แล้ว

    First of all, I really love the new style of videos you’ve been doing this year. Really enjoying them. The fact that you’ve chosen to make smaller but still detailed builds is really great. People will probably feel like they can actually create builds like these as opposed to the huge builds you did previously which are very expensive to create. The small town city looks great!
    Also, didn’t know you came up with the MILS plate light. Thanks for that! Been using quite a few of them!

    • @BevinsBricks
      @BevinsBricks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you the new style of videos seems to be very well received. They take a lot longer to do but it's worth it as long as people are enjoying them.
      As for the mills light I was really happy that linky bricks was willing to make them. Brick loot is now also in the process of doing them as well. I'm not sure when they will make them available for sale though.

    Did anyone notice the little critter at around 4.30? ;)
    Also, isn't there a LOT of businesses for a town of just 651? Not that it's really a problem.
    But here in France, with that kind of population you would only have a bakery, a hairdresser, a bar and maybe a small school.
    Just gotta add that these recent city updates have been phenomenal!

    • @BevinsBricks
      @BevinsBricks  ปีที่แล้ว

      The old version is better for lighting as it gives a nice hollow body to pass the wires in. The downside is the slot in every piece. The new version to me is more clean but, you loose the cavity for wires.

    thank you so much for this informative how to for lighting noobs. I am going to implement this in the future with all of my display sets, mainly my modulars but I want to also incorporate this method of lighting (gaffing) for all of my sets. Creator Expert vehicles for example...imagine working headlights, interior center console lighting etc etc. Thank you Bevin...appreciate the content!

      Thank you so much I'm glad you are finding this very helpful. I had contemplated doing interior lighting in the cars as well but decided to be lazy LOL

    If it’s an option, i think your Lego city would look even more amazing with some trixbrix larger radius custom train track, and maybe another rail line to go around the city

      At some point I may try and buy some of there track as I agree the track angles would look so much better.
