Things are taking shape again, I'm looking forward to seeing all the outdoor lighting, I would suggest putting in some moonlights, but I'm not sure you have enough large trees. If your not familiar with them, they are downlights that go way up in a tree with a specific type bulb and it replicates natural moon light. They are really nice.
Hopefully your planning some kind of skimmer bay, that can be pumped into your wet land with a snorkel, to keep the water clear and near maintenance free in your swim pond
Hey Brad, poor pond liner is tired of ditches😢, good idea to secure it👍. 💡🤣 the plaque is fabulous! You could leave a small pile for her to burn, you could roast weenies 😍. I met a few of the runaways that used to come visit Flair, Big horses! Yeah your wife would like a pool❤. JO JO IN VT 💞
Nice seeing you Brad. I totally agree that a pool is going to be great, but also think the pond will be lovely too. You'll have the best of both worlds! I was wondering about the chicken business your sons were working on. You mentioned that Nate and his wife have moved out of state (that's got to be tough) for work. Hopefully it wasn't too far away? Weekend visits, etc.? Things here are the same. It's been hot, hot, hot and while I don't want any of the weather systems you've recently had to endure, it'd be nice to see some rain. We usually have a few really good pours over the course of he summer, but not this year. Man, I feel old talking about weather, haha! Stop me if I ever start a sentence with "I remember when..."! Had a few falls lately. Not fun. I have my daughter in a bit of a tizzy about getting an alarm/alert button. I was dumb and thought I'd go out into our garage and grab something the other day and didn't take my phone. Anyways, our garage is attached but there is no entry into the house. When I was a kid, we used to call the roof line of houses like mine a "hockey stick house"... very Canadian. I digress. We had my basement flood a month or so ago and all of my daughter's furniture has been moved to the garage. She's just not had the time or strength to move it all back. So when I went out there, my leg gave out/I tripped as I stepped over something and fell pretty much a$$ over tea kettle. My luck though, I landed on a dog bed she'd had down there. Good thing it'd dried out🥴 My point to all of this I couldn't get up because of said leg and laid there like an idiot for 45 minutes whilst being very sore and with my ego bruised. Just picture it... lying in the middle of my garage on a dog bed, behind dressers etc I knew my daughter got off work within the next 1/2 hour so the most I'd have to lie there would be another hour. Ugh. Finally, I was sore enough that I just started to yell "Hello? Jen? (neighbour) Can you help me? I've fallen!" Luckily my neighbour across the street (also Jen) heard me and she, her two small kids and her mom came over to see me lying there like an idiot. She offered to help me up, but that wasn't going to happen. I have SOME pride left after all (my kiddo calls it stubbornness, I prefer pride). She had her cell phone so I wiped away tears of frustration (and maybe a bit of pain, haha) and called my daughter who had to have driven Mach 10, because she was home in 3 minutes. I had told Jen that I was going to be in big trouble and we both knew I was correct by the look on Kelsey's face when she pulled into the driveway, haha. I asked her how badly I'd screwed up on a scale of 1-10 and she said 12. SCORE! Go big or go home, I guess?! I was very grateful for Jen, my daughter and, ironically, a dirty old dog bed. Maybe that's the moral of the story... a dirty old dog bed may seem like junk, but it can save you a broken hip if you fall... something like that. Well, that's the new drama in my world, haha. Could always be worse.... I had that big tree fall in my backyard but all it did was take out lines that could be rehung. I could be cleaning up after a tornado! Hi to your beautiful Mrs! Heather🇨🇦
